Title: Withdraw BTC to USD bank
Post by: namjey on August 14, 2017, 07:38:21 PM
I live in US and currently I am using Coinbase to withdraw my bitcoins to bank. So far I didn't have any problems. However, I was wondering if there are better exchanges with lower fees to withdraw bitcoin to USD safely?

You can try Kraken and see the fees here: https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/201893608-What-are-the-withdrawal-fees-
If that doesn't suit you either then I suggest linking your bank account to your PayPal, trade your bitcoin for preev.com + 5% for PayPal and withdraw from there directly to your bank account, that should be a good solution.

Another bitcoin exchange Coinsbank.com. I have no personal experiences with this exchanger but may be it helps you.
It supports multiple currency exchange between currencies with an affordable fee. Also has android app.

I always suggest people to use the localbitcoins site to exchange it for fiat currency in any country. Nowadays here they added deposit fees add bitcoin to this exchange wallet. Please check exchange like kraken, Polenix and cex. All the exchanges will provide you the exchange option.

If you are located in the US then you have some other option besides using Conbase:

- Gemini - very trusted exchange with low fees but might be confusing for new users and not available in all states.
- BitStamp - very low 0.25% fee, falling to 0.1% with sufficient trading volume - has been hacked before and I think this exchange is dedicated more for traders
- Kraken - very solid exchange but require full ID validation before use
- Bitfinex - very high liquidity but has been hacked in the past

I would vouch for Kraken too. You'll get used to the shitty user interface ;)

In addition with many exchangers offering the possibility to exchange BTC to banks, you can also try some ewallets like Payza for example. Payza accept deposit and withdraw by Bitcoin, and you can easily convert your BTC to USD then send them to your banking account

I wouldn't recommend or use payza, their exchange rate is $100 less compared to global markets and to buy bitcoins and withdraw it costs $200 extra! op go for gemini or kraken, really good exchanges.

Abra is a good tool for this, the problem with Abra is that while you can load it with any currency and withdraw in any currency, you can only hold one currency at a time. Pretty much if you had 1 BTC in there and wanted to withdraw it for cash to a bank account, you could convert the wallet to USD and cash out, but this makes it a little tricky if you only want to withdraw 50% of that, because then you would need to change the wallet back to BTC. What I would reccommend is use a wallet like Jaxx to hold the bitcoin you want to keep, then send whatever you want to cash out to Abra, then change the Abra wallet to USD and cash out, change the wallet back to BTC and you're ready to do the whole thing again.

For fees relating to bitcoin Abra only charges a network fee, they don't add more like Coinbase does, and actually until Aug 21 they aren't even charging the network fees yet!
