The President of the Philippines has been opposed by most of the big time officials in the country. Can he surpass all the Big Fish in the Philippines and survive the six years term?

Yes! Of course. We the Filipino supporters of President Duterte won't allow them to succeed in putting the good man down.

I hope he would. He understands a lot of what and how things are happening to his country. He can communicate well in a professional manner. He loves his country and his fellowmen.

A few of the opinion polls have put his approval ratings at all time record levels. So the only question is how many presidential terms he is going to complete. I have no doubt that he will complete his current term without any issue.

For me, I think president Duterte is doing a great job to his country. He always think first the safety of his people before doing some actions that can affect them. He already lessen the drug users in the Philippines and the crime rate is falling already. If he continue this king of work, I think he can finish his term with no problem.

Of course he can, I think he is the type of person who doesn't take what other shitty people specially corrupt officials' opinion seriously. The reason why a lot of big politicians don't like Duterte is that, the president is pointing out corrupt politicians and taking actions against them. That's why a lot of politicians are threatened by the president.

Politicians that are doing dirty jobs are scared of the president because the president is starting to name them and take action against them. Most government officials in the Philippines are involved in syndicate and drugs that's why it is so rampant in Philippines. But, since Duterte became the president, he became a threat to those politicians.

Yes, he can because a lot of people trusts him and I think he is doing well on his term. A lot of people are contented with what he is doing because he is even naming out officials that are involved in drugs. He is one of the greatest president that Philippines ever had.

I think that he can do it. Even though Philippines are going through a lot, I think our president is a strong one. He takes action immediately and he is not scared to do his duty. Unlike the previous president of the Philippines he shows support to the filipino people whenever the people need him.

And how reliable is this Arthur Lascañas guy? Duterte has earned a lot of powerful enemies during his short term, and they will go to any extent to remove him from power. These new allegations are part of their grand old scheme to get rid of Duterte. Not surprising though. I heard that the drug traffickers have so far lost around $30 billion in revenues due to Duterte.

I think he will be able to do it, from various news sources indicates that his ability to govern the government quite well, his reputation well in the eyes of his community is also recognized by the world

His stratospheric rise may not go on for ever. One day he will lose power, and after that he will face prosecution for all those deaths resulted from his campaign against the drugs.

As much as i think his war on plants his a stupidity, his handling of the crisis regarding marawi and co according to rt documentary seems hard to really improve. What's ironic is that those ennemies of the philipines share probably the same opinions as him regardingg the plants.

I think president Duterte can finish his term and he might even be still our next president, because a lot of people believes in him. And, unlike the other president that we had, he keeps his words and he is not even scared to do all the things that he promised the filipino people. It is not possible to completely eliminate the drugs, especially in a large country such as Philippines which is having a population of more than 100 million. But from the ground reports it is clear that the drug usage has gone down drastically.

I think yes he can. According to the actions and last news he feels very confident and strategic not only in his own way, but he acts according to what people want for their country. As many other governmental leaders & presidents he is paying attention to what is going on with the Philippines, and if he doesn't take certain measures to avoid a destruction of his country, it will go worse and worse every year. Power and force are the principal measures that can help to control people and keep an eye on them.

President duterte promise that change will come in the Philippines. And now, it is happening because of his hard work and his project war on drugs. Many people are not using drugs anymore because of being scared to the president. If he continue his good and outstanding work, I think he can finish his term with no problem.

Yep, i'm not an avid fan but as i observe filipino politics, maybe he's worst but way better than other politicians in our country. Believe me some of them are my relatives but i try to stay away with them hope they don't end up being slayed by this administration

Philippines is experiencing many  changes because of the new administration  that is being lead by president duterte.  Many drug user have been caught and sent them to rehabilitation center. If duterte continue his project,  i dont think that he cannot finish his term.  Many filipinos are expecting that change will come already in the time of president duterte.

The President in his short time in office is almost on the verge of eradicating the drug problems that has plagued the country all this time, He also managed to thwart the ISIS incursion into his country and he is doing well and keeping his citizens safe. He has done a wonderful job and i believe he will complete his term in office.

Yes. I think the President of the Philippines is currently doing a great job for the country. Drug problem is serious and Duterte is not afraid of cleaning it. We just need to understand and support what he is doing. Yet the incident of killing Kian is an isolated case, though must give justice.

I am not from Philippines, but I read media articles about the incident. They clearly states that it was Kian Loyd Delos Santos who shot first at the cops. But if those reports were false, then the cops must be punished, along with the media outfits.

Yes I agree with you. I believed in the leadership of President Duterte. He just need to be careful whom he trust and the people around him. We know Filipinos such as in politics. They can do dirty things for their enemy. We know that not all of them are pro-Duterte so he needs extra careful.

It will be challenging but not impossible, he is at the moment fighting the most hatred crime in Philippine and the citizens understand it.

In every intervention there must be sacrifices and i believe majority of Philippians support their leader. The drug trade in Philippines is causing major social vices. i know there are problems with deaths which can be minimized or reduced drastically but fighting drug trade is pretty much at the heart of his manifesto and the Philippians side with him by giving him their votes.

I think for now yes, as he still enjoys high approval ratings despite all the accidents and catastrophe that his operation on drugs have done to the public. I think that he would still be the one to complete his term and I ak still hoping that everything would turn around and he would make the Filipino people something worth dying for.

For me, it is a YES, although many are oppose of how he controls his administration, i still believe he can pull it up. I think he can do what previous admins cannot do. The only thing that is concerning me is how will he deal with assassinations, but without assassinations i surely believe that he can rid all of the corrupt officials lurking in the government. So i think all is not to be blamed on the Duterte's Admin.

Each of these leaders have done something radical in their country, and they have created a lot of enemies. But all of them remains massively popular in their countries (perhaps with the exception of Trump).

 Well, president duterte is a good leader with high ambitions for his country and im sure that he's going to complete his term despite of what he had said in the first month of his campaign though it seems that nothing is going accordingly to plan. The latest news about the unjust acts of the police on the boy named kian just made president duterte's war on drugs look like something that is immoral and violent. They ruined his image as a president and im sure many filipinoes out there are now against the act of war on drugs.

President Duterte is known for his war on drugs program. War on drugs aims is to stop the spreading of drug in the Philippines. Drug users are lessen when the program started. If the president will continue implementing new laws that is good for the Philippines without any problems, I don't think that he can not finish his term properly without facing any problems.

He is like Marcos that has a mission to make Philippines a liveable and better country and a vision to put the Philippines in the fast growing and developing country.By the way there were many misconceptions arouse in the regime of Marcos because of the bastards Aquinos. Duterte is loved by the people so there is nothing for him not to complete his term. Although i learned he supports the war in southern Philippines, I think in the perspective of a military men like him, all these are very much needed to wipe out the thing that looks bad to their country. The worst thing that would happen is that he won't win the next election but that he won't complete his term, that won't happen. In a country as corrupted as the philippines, it will be hard for any leader to quell the disease affecting the country. Even putin would probably have a hard time and a leader would have to be relentless and ruthless in changing things there. Though as you've said, big fishes have a lot of ways to manipulate others. Media, politics, businesses are few of the ways these big fishes are using and probably doig under the president's nose. Hopefully he gets through his term because he's dping a good job so far.

Here in India, we also have a similar situation. Out prime minister (Narendra Modi) has done a lot of good things during the last 3.5 years. The opposition doesn't have anything against him, so they just raise silly issues and try to derail the development work.

You can't expect his support levels to stay intact in the distant future. If I am not wrong, only one world leader has managed to hold his approval ratings continuously high, for almost two decades. For me my answer would be YES, those big time officials who opposed the President are just a little finger of Mr. President, no matter how they opposed or against about how he manage of our Government, we can see his determination to fight and to free our country from drugs, crimes and corruptions. He is fearless, and for sure he will become successful in and after his sixth term and at the same time he will remains the high ratings until his last day in serving our country. additional, he will be success in liquidation of drugs and crime in the country.    

We should believe in our government that is led by President Duterte. We are the one who chose him by voting them wisely. He is the one  who are approving some laws that is needed in our country and He also the one who are thinking wisely what is good to increase the economy of our country. Maybe there are some government officials in His term are not trust worthy enough so we should be wisely before believing too much.

His war against the drugs has been a major success and he has managed to improve the ties with the United States after Donald Trump got elected as the POTUS.

He can complete his term if he was healthy enough to finish it. What we don't know is that he's not having enough sleep since he was elected as the President of the Philippines. He might have a long sleep then die because his body is too tired and old for the task that was given to him. The only reason he was alive is because of his willingness to serve his country and hopefully the president after him can do that. Yes he will, if you look on latest SWS survey his net trust was +75 classified as excellent it means most of Filipinos were still satisfied on his leadership and advocancy. He is very popular especially on millennials even though some of them critized his war on drugs campaign where they said that police operation violates human rights on those suspected person during operation. Even in social media the voice of his supporters are overwhelming compared on his critics and besides I think our economic growth are still good, investors are coming, his full support on military and of course the majority in senate and congress supports him so I believe that he will lasted until term his ends.

Yes, of course. A lot of Filipino people loves him because of his passion and working hard as a president. He is the best President so far after former President Marcos, eliminating those corrupt official and drug lords in the country is the best move to change the country's situation.

I am from India, and still I appreciate what Duterte has done to the Philippines. From what I have heard, he has successfully managed to reduce the drug abuse and crime rate in his country. For sure he has used some heavy-handed tactics, but the end results justify their usage.
