In practice, economic politics between one country and another are not the same, depending on their economic system. Although different in the application of economic politics, but the same goal is to create prosperity of the people.

In the 21st century it's almost all about economic politics. Though a bit of ego and hypocrisy works. But citizens are so concerned about their own well being that every government is forced to prioritize the economic well being (as well inter-national economic race) than any other global issues.

Political economy, where it is not used as a synonym for economics, may refer to very different things.

Not really. It is defined by competing interests. There are these capitalists that want profit and citizens that want welfare. Sometimes profit are compromised for welfare but most of the time, welfare is compromised.

Politics is a system that will function when all elements work well. The system will affect the development of society in improving the better life in the economic, political, and cultural fields. The government as a political agent becomes the main actors in building the community that is the responsibility. The thing that the government does in realizing ideal development is to set the concept of ideal society and make it happen in a concrete step.
