Title: 0/3 confirmations for six hours, please help
Post by: cluelessguy on August 15, 2017, 04:01:43 AM
I have a pending transaction for 6 hours on blockchain.  It has 0/3 confirmations. I am an idiot and not even sure how to post the transaction number. Do i just click on...Verify on blockchain.info ? Is the transaction # then on the upper left? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

you are spending an unconfirmed output linked to a series of unconfirmed outputs

edab1a54e462e3dfbd3094307ac6bfa373c1bee5887a48a163d4e32d1fc82daa

and so on.

and unless all of the previous ones are confirmed you shouldn't expect your tx to confirm.

Thanks Pooya for responding. Is there anything i can do to remedy this? Do i have to just wait for the other ones to confirm? Should i contact the party that sent me the bitcoins? I have no clue about any of this, so thanks so much for the help!

no unfortunately there is not that many things you can do except waiting. there are 6 or 7 transactions before yours waiting to be confirmed and since they are all paying 150 satoshi/byte fee they will all take a longer time to be confirmed because currently there are 43K transactions waiting to be confirmed and most of them are paying 200-300 satoshi/byte fees (http://bitcoinfees.21.co/)

for example one thing that comes to mind is pushing them through a tx accelerator like this https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
but there is a limited number per hour and it is already reached.

Thanks again pooya. Couple more questions if i may, sorry for being a pain in the ass.  About how long do you think it will take for my tx to confirm? The next time i get bitcoins from this party, is there anything i can relay to them to do, so this does not happen again?

And should i try to put my tx in the txaccelerator every hour, or periodically from here on out until it is confirmed?

That is easy to do bro, if you are transaction not get confirmed as you expected. You can use any transaction accelerator tool to done it with the tx id. To make you can use the viabtc accelerator. That is same he might done. use the below link do next time.

when mempool is this big with a lot of unconfirmed transactions in it, using ViaBTC accelerator is not an easy thing since they only accept 100 tx every hour and they have a very small hashrate which means they rarely find blocks.

that screenshot above is not ViaBTC accelerator ;)

The transaction has 46+ confirmations, it should be in your wallet already!
In the future please open your own thread and don't post in old threads. How did you even find this one, it is from 2017?!

Did you actually use this recently and verify that it works? Because whenever I submit my TX id, it says the queue is full.

I read to try at the beginning of every hour like at 3:00PM,4:00PM,5:00PM, etc and its still full. I've even tried right after ViaBTC found a block (which is rare these days) and same issue.

Has anyone in the last week or so used this accelerator and confirmed that it works?

Has anyone in the last week or so used this accelerator and confirmed that it works?

Still, have no proof that viabtc accelerator is working.

Have you tried some other ways to accelerate your transaction like RBF or CPFP or rebroadcast the transaction to some pools? If not do this first
