I'd like to hear from you altcoin experts what new projects and coins have the greatest potential for future success.  I'm looking to invest in some new stuff long-term in hopes of high ROI, but the altcoin announcement section is a real jumble.  So far, I'm looking at Karbon and Looq, but I'd like to hear other ideas.  What and why, basically (links to announcements are appreciated!).

I think DNT (district0x) is pretty interesting concept. GOing to hold long on that one.

DNT looks pretty decent, but we'll see.

TenX, neo and district0x are the most exciting ones and they are increasing very fast now, if they will dump I will buy some.

I know a lot of people won't like this, but I suggest ripple for long term. It is not a new project but this year have improved and expanded the project and are working to be used by every bank in the world to send funds. It is at or near a bottom, not a bad place to invest. It has a high supply in the billions so many say it won't go very high, but others believe it could be worth $1 one day, maybe next year.

Zencash, a new project forked from zclassic, still in development has the potential to be in the top anon coins, like zcash and monero. It has features better than monero. https://blog.zensystem.io/zencash-overview-for-investment-professionals/

Stratis, waves, both unique quality projects that have a ways to go. Even if they, aren't worth $1000 a coin I don't see them disappearing.

Civic, has 1 billion coins, but could easily be used by more than a billion people.

Quantum Resistance Ledger, elastic, golem, edgeless. All have potential. And of course bitcoin.

Neo - Xmn - Adx. They are all in good rank. But we must be more careful and clever in making decisions in order to get maximum results.

well if you are looking for investment for long term check NEM and WAVEs [but i think they are not new] also check Ripple also it is not new but it was expanding its project and upgrading there coin as of now. Good to start for new exciting XRP it is for long term also

For me. Neo is the best altcoin at the present time because many investors watching NEO is the second bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market and this would be great for those who have bought this altcoin as it has had very high prices in the time recently

0x just had it's ICO, it's still traded for very cheap as it's not on big exchanges yet! Whenever this hits bittrex it will moon.

I really like RISE, it's been forgotten about, only has a market cap of around $10M, currently only trades on Bittrex, but is on the move in terms of development.


Rise is building a development platform for decentralized distributed applications, smart contracts, and side-chain / token asset creation. Rise plans to increase the accessibility of the platform to developers by offering Software Development Kits, which support multiple programming languages: JavaScript, Python, C#, Ruby, and JAVA. Eventually, they plan to offer an interface with drag-and-drop building tools. (Think WordPress for blockchain development).

In addition to the development platform, Rise offers an incubator service for developers to help create blockchain projects. It's not easy to develop a new blockchain project as the talent pool is limited, but Rise plans to offer their expertise, advice, and funding to help.

My current list of favorites is as follows

1. byteballs - based on direct acrylic graphs, should rally now that the large airdrops to bitcoin holders that sell immediately are ending, future airdrops will be more beneficial to byte balls holders, the development team is focusing on merchant adoption and offering incentives

2. deeponion - viral marketing and growing mindshare, this will benefits from a rising tide that will lift privacy coins as the war on cash

3. spectre coin - low cap privacy coin integrated with TOR, good staking performance

4. xtrabytes - technology now in testnet, much lower market cap than other smart contact platforms (ETH, Lisk, Stratis) , new logo, new website and new white paper in development

Adex has a successful ico like it just run only in two weeks because of the fast sold out ot tokens.
And just recently it pumping hard and continue increasing.
So i can say adex is one of the promising coin now. Have a good coin circulation and no wonder it will go to the moon sooner. And also its support is very strong.

neo is on the top now and it i predict it will go as high as 100$ next one or two months, also adex parnered with neo makes it more promising to invest in. tenx pay also has some big news to come so better invest your money in them for sure profits.

At this time many new altcoins appear in the crypto market and i think the presence of new altcoin is able to improve the crypto progress that everyone is interested in trying to trade crypto.
Altcoin trade is currently growing and growing along with the growth of new coins that have good value in market. And I'm more inclined to choose XRP, WAVES and ZEN for both trading and investment, I think this coin have potential to continue to increase in the future.

The most exciting new altcoins now for me is Adex they already released Adex Core and they also partnered with NEO and we all know how successful NEO become just recently. After all the good news adex price skyrocketed and with the history with there ICO that only runs for hours this prove that this coin has a lot of investors and has a good project.

Dimcoin is most exciting coin in recent time to buy created on NEM platform and it's already raised 10+ million in ico. Skincoin also will rule gaming industry .Dent is another promising coin.

Neo is a beast! Its going to beat ETH in the platform wars.

In my opinion, there are some altcoins which are really down in value and you might as well consider investing, is dogecoin, wings, nxt. I just have hope in this projects, I believe that they might benefit in a long run. That is why I also invested as well. I am just hoping to benefit after a few years. You might as well consider investing in ongoing icos, there are some coins which really gives hope, dimcoin, opus, vibrate, social.

I keep telling people about XTRABYTES which is basically ETH 2.0 but much much much better.

DeepOnion has a great community and limiteted supply. It will grow fast

NEO, I think is a really great coin. Nice projects, and pump really great.
Another coin is XEM, it is always in the coinmarketcap top 10 and have a great platforms. More projects will come soon and it seems very interesting for a long term hold.

So the coins people seem to be most talking about I no longer know...looks like I new to do more and more research.

Xtrabytes I've heard of, seems promising. District0x I havent, but I hear a lot of hype on it, so will check that out. Stratis always comes up that's a solid contender but not a new ICO. Neo I have some of might have to increase my holdings. Multiple people posted on deeponion don't know if it's targeted group of people but seems worth checking out. Too many choices can sometimes get lost

Now waves is the most exciting coin at this time.I have total 400 waves fo hold my future life secure.Waves price is now 3.98$ via https://coinmarketcap.com 12.32% dump.But pump very fast i think.

You are the first one to mention iota in this thread. I believe this coin is interesting because it offers a brand new way the crypto can be operating. Okay, we've seen currencies with no mining. But have we seen those which have NO blocks? I mean, they all are organized in a chain of blocks. Here we have something deeply sophisticated, a thing called tangles. I can't find a good explanation of what this is but I believe it's great that at least there was made an attempt to create something new, not just clone what everyone already has.

In my very own opinion, the most underrated cryptocurrency right now that has one of the largest potentials is MGO(Mobilego). It's got almost everything you'd want in a crypto. And it's just around $1.00.

Neo is a very good coin. I think Neo is the latest coin that many people are interested in. Neo has many advantages that are very good for us to do trading.

Neo is good coin to invest, and it seems very active in the market. I also choose waves, and mgo to put my money and I think it has a bright future. Im just holding these coins for a long term investment.

Altcoins, which are most appreciated in the money market, are always exciting. It's really fun to do buy-and-sell transactions, make money. It does not make any sense that the market is so bad this time.

At the moment, the most exciting new altcoins are PirateChain (ARRR), Genesis (GENX), Haven Protocol (XHV), Stellite (XTL), Callisto Network (CLO), Bloc.Money (BLOC), BitTube (TUBE), Loki (LOKI), Italocoin (ITA), StakerToken (STR), and Electronero (ETNX).

In my opinion now the best project is Tomo. They are developing a new blockchain. Which have too many important things inside in it like masternodes etc. Also their ceo is from NEM and their investors are really strong guys.
Also they announced about their technology. They are trying to develope their platform with sharding. 

Well, exactly, I'm also planning on buying new altcoins, buying the newly traded altcoin, and then it's time for the Bounty hunters to sell tokens at very cheap prices, which may sell at a lower price. ICO price is 50%, that is the opportunity for us to buy.

For me now the most exciting new projects that we can put our money in is privcy, I mean it is not a very high profile coin at this point but i have a lot of faith in the coin to be able to do well in the long run. It is a privacy coin, with a good community behind the coin supporting its growth in every point, it is also listed on a good number of exchanges now

QuarkChain's testnet is live now and they are planned to launch mainnet in Q4 2018-Q1 2019 with 20K TPS sharding POW-blockhain with EVM supported. I see QKC is the main ETH competitor now so the price will moon soon but DYOR.

It's 2019 now. I think, the most exciting altcoins out in the market are: Beam, Komodo, Binance, Tron, Bitcoin Gold, Ethereum, Pirate (ARRR), ZelCash, Verus coin, X-Cash, BitTube, and Monero. Most of them are not new, but they are exciting.

The WPP project, which I wore on for a long time, can be considered for long term investment. Unfortunately, after being in good shape for a while, it has recently lost value.

Personally, I'm following the VITE project now, a very promising project in my opinion, the developers are improving it and this month their ViteX exchange is due to start.

I like Ontology, although this is not a new project already. I also believe that Raven token will become one of the most popular altcoins. RAVEN token will be added to the Binance DEX listing already, and it is expected that the price of the coin will be running. Although it is pretty young, it has managed to gain a lot, showing all the time only positive rating.

The most exciting new altcoin that I know so far base on there performance in the market are QDAO from the platinum team and BTCB is a BEP2 token which totally backed by Bitcoin and also share exact the same trend and price with bitcoin . However, all this altcoin are already listed on capital market.

I really like the project Pundi x/ have been watching him, and I think that soon he should show good XXX.  there is a lot of news, the team is working and the project is developing very quickly.

I have three top blockchain coins on mind which key focus on special areas not properly addressed in cryptocurrency. Harmony addresses sharding and blockchain scalability. Sero brings Privacy on blockchain and offers smart contracts services to privacy dapps and Contentos is a global chain for content creators worldwide

Its not new but its quite exciting because its cheap to invest on it. The one that a big investor would be interested is perhaps the gowithmi (GMAT) which basically is mapping the entire world. Its on the market already, I didn't know this is really a good project until I saw it got listed on exchange. So this is a utility token that any user can use to register some place in the map.

Why are you still looking for something new? New doesn´t mean better or higher returns, now it is the best time to buy estabilished altcoins for very cheap price.  :)

In the cryptocurrency market, there are some altcoins that are truly down in worth and you should think about investing,  XVG,  and ABT, are examples.
I simply have trust in this projects, I accept that they may profit in a long run. That is the reason I invested also. I am simply planning to profit following a couple of years.

There are some altcoins that are worthy to buy and invest in now. Some altcoins like XRP, UBT, BLINk and others you might have probably heard their names are all worthy coins to invest in. They have higher potential and will grow in the future.

each and every currency is started with the excitement and some different unique features in it but at the end only we can see the result how it going on with the excitement to be successful or not so that we cannot really say in this correct time nothing will be going on from the beginning time in a right way.

So far I'm monitoring a new altcoin called COTI, I have been following the developments since last year. And yesterday it was just listed in KuCoin and BitMax, within a few days of being listed, this coin had a trading volume of 24 million per day.
It's fantastic, in my opinion with the new coin level, and now the price is down due to the influence of bitcoin too. But I am sure that in the next 6 months COTI will go to the moon when the altcoin season arrives.

btw the latest announcement that COTI will be listed at Binance through voting.

and now i am very interested with SERO,from IEO till now on its price rise extremely.investors that hold this coins get huge profits.for long term, i think sero has good developtment plan.

I read about Contentos recently and I find it quite interesting. It aims to be the biggest content sharing platform on blockchain and has made many interesting partnerships and affiliates in Binance, Digifinexfunds, Harmony and so many more. I think it will only get bigger from now on because mainnet and several other events are about to happen soon withing this quarter of the year and next

for now I can't trust all the altcoins that have just been launched ... because a lot of the latest projects that have completed ICO / IEO have decreased in price after the coins have been listed on the market ... so now I have more confidence in the altcoin can last a long time with large volumes ... like ethereum, doge, and litecoin for my investment of money that I have ... then you have to be more careful to choose a new altcoin ...

Well, it differs when it comes to the time frame of them being exciting, exciting on the merit of their tech, their potential of short/long term ROI  etc. When it comes to the long term, Hedera Hasgraph should do very well and in the short term ROI wise, Ferrum Network has every chance to kill it post their ICO.

They have working products, they cooperate with China telecom, have partnerships with ZTE, Huawei and some other big players. I think this is a real gem with market cap just little over $10 millions, this alt have huge potential I believe and I already bought some, I`m thinking to buy more and make my position even stronger.

I understand you perfectly well, but we should not allow all these bad and scam projects to make us neglect the good ones that really need us to grow. If we keep neglecting all the projects that we have in the market because of the fear that majority of them are scams, we will end up seeing the end of ICO and even IEO completely and there might be no such thing as cryptocurrency again.

All we need to just try and do is make some research and try to figure out the ones that are still very reliable and sincere with what they are planning to do in the market. We have had successful projects in the past which are still in the market till date, if people that made them successful had given up on them then, would we have seen the coins to also pick for investment now?

Currently I am researching BQQQ, it is a coin exchange and very potential because its Big Partner is Bittrex.

fundamental coins will likely not show such large percentages anymore. the author meant rather coins that have not pumped and have a great chance at the pump. I like to rely on pundi x, I hope this project will do me rich))

Each and every day there are lots of new coins where created but nothing will perform well for the future and there is no hope you will created on any project that is a problem right now to make the hope on any currency is not possible so it need to be definitely change
