Title: Interesting comparison of Bitcoin price with major companies. Post by: RobJ on August 15, 2017, 10:18:41 PM This chart freaked me out somewhat so I'm interested to get the opinion of some Bitcoin experts.
Bitcoin's total value has now surpassed most major corporations. In the past few weeks it's leapfrogged some of Wall Street's biggest names. Is that a sign that things are getting crazy or is it natural that a new major currency player should be worth a lot more than even the biggest firms? https://www.facebook.com/thesharesguy/photos/a.1918619358392204.1073741828.1872336579687149/1918618831725590/?type=3 Title: Re: Interesting comparison of Bitcoin price with major companies. Corporations make money and pay dividends, the other is money. Look at the gold market cap for a better comparison (and a glance at the moon). Post by: xaxistech on August 15, 2017, 10:32:49 PM Yes it is amazing how bitcoin is growing, and also is worth much more than some big companies. But you can not compare those with bitcoin, bitcoin is a currencie, those are on big big companies, that pays dividends and have many products. Bitcoin is just like gold, they are a new way to pay and hold money, that can be a passive income in a near future.
So they are two different things, but bitcoin has a lot of value right now, and it is getting more precious with the time. Title: Re: Interesting comparison of Bitcoin price with major companies. So I've just checked and the market cap of gold is around $7 trillion. So Bitcoin x 100 = gold. I guess it could happen! (probably by next month ;) ) Title: Re: Interesting comparison of Bitcoin price with major companies. Post by: djuvantebit on August 16, 2017, 09:16:03 AM Bitcoin and companies are not in the same category, companies have assets and liabilities, their stocks is influenced by micro and macro economics, less volatility and less exposure, company access the market for expansion and more value in their stocks. Bitcoin is in the class of gold, haven of investment
