I guess now after Bitmixer.io closed, the most popular currently is chipmixer I really don't know if it's the best in the industry but you still may take a look at it in Service ANNs section.
To be honest I really don't know why people would use third party services such as mixers. What do you mean by privacy?Isn't bitcoin anonymity enough for you?

Bitcoin isn't that anonymous. Anyone can track you through the Blockchain if they know where to start and have and has the motivation to do this.

That's why ChipMixer may be the best when it comes to mixing and anonymizing your transactions. I may be biased because of my signature, but I trully believe in their mixing process.

ChipMixer creates Bitcoin addresses (chips) and funds them with specific sizes. There are chips with 0.001 BTC, 0.002 BTC, 0.004 BTC and so on till 4.096 BTC. When you deposit your Bitcoins, you receive same amount in chips. For example you deposit 0.112 BTC and you receive 0.064 + 0.032 + 0.016. Each chip was funded before your deposit, so there is no link between them and your deposit on blockchain. They are already anonymous. With each chip, you receive its private key, so you can spend them any time you want.

Check out the ANN thread if you want to know more[1].

Naturally it should be chipmixer because they are new but they have proof to be business minded by the campaign they are running on this forum but unlike the defunct bitmixer.io with a lot of review and feedback; chipmixer have none.

Obviously i'm biased, and i recommend Chipmixer, but i'll try to justify as objectively as possible.

1. Chip-based mixing process means that your coins are guaranteed to not be associated with the bitcoins that you sent, since the chips were created earlier.
2. No fees, you can donate though if you wish to.
3. Great support, in my experience you'll always get a response within 48h. The forum handle is also extremely active, and responds to any requests unlike Bitmixer's forum handle which is sometimes not online for weeks/months.
4. Have spent tens of thousands of dollars on advertising their site.

Naturally it should be chipmixer because they are new but they have proof to be business minded by the campaign they are running on this forum but unlike the defunct bitmixer.io with a lot of review and feedback; chipmixer have none.

It has gotten a lot of feedback, actually. Just check their ann thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1935098.0

There's 2 option that we can used here and they are Chipmixer and bitblender but I don't really know on what is best mixer on them since I never try to used a mixer these days but It's bery good thing if people would do some good background checking of those mixers so that they may find good and trusted that can be used for long term basis.

There are 3 mixers that came to my mind as per bitcoin mixers absence.

Bitblender - one that has a very stable campaign here in forum.

Chipmixer - starting to become popular because of its signature campaign too.

Cryptomixer - I dont have an idea if this is still an active mixer though.

When Bitmixer closed, the owner made a thread where he urged other mixing sites to follow suite and close which was a alarming message while bowing out of business. Even after this, I've heard Chipmixer and Bitblender are doing a fine job at mixing Bitcoins and keeping them private. The fact that we don't know yet as to why Bitmixer's owner gave out such a statement before closing, making it seem a bit risky.

Bitmixer.io is gone...
I advice www.mixercrypto.com . Actually, is the best solution to clean btc.
Be careful with this website! They look exactly like [banned mixer]

Only use trusted mixers.

I have good experiences with chipmixer. You can see it at the signature of preposter. They have a quick support and are responsible on their site and also directly hwre in the forum. I think, it is the best mixer on the market.

I have used https://[banned mixer]/ it is started on more than one year ago, so it can be trusted and no complaint from the other users, it is simple, easy to be used, secure and cheap fees, cryptomixer is the best choice, for more information about the [banned mixer] can visit the website and they give the information about your question.

I don't think cryptomixer is the best place to mix your coins simply because they are not popular enough for this purpose. the more popular a mixing service is, the more it is used and that means tracing the coins through these services becomes that much harder. but when rarely people use them, it may become easier to trace the transactions that go through them.
I remember they started a long time ago and did it with a signature campaign on bitcointalk but because of lack of interest in their service they had to reduce the payment then eventually after a short while they couldn't handle the costs of a small signature campaign!

That's a good point to make actually - the less popular the service, the easier it is to trace your associations with transactions, no matter the technology. I don't use mixers myself. I don't really need to, not yet anyway. But I find that I use all my addresses from a very popular site that gets thousands of new signups as unique addresses a day... yes, I realise that I am risking my coins with that site, but I withdraw regularly, with the added benefit that I don't deal with lots of inputs.

Whoever traces me will realise the site I use, but can't prove anything else. I'm all mixed up in there with everyone else.

Here are my top pick:

Crypto Mixer - (https://[banned mixer]/) Been using this for so long and the support is very good.

But the best mixer so far as far as I know is:

Chipmixer - (https://chipmixer.com/) - Mixing reinvented. Also try and tested. Another good sign.  Check out their signature campaign, its one of the best campaign right now. Top quality posters. So based on that I will assumed and experience of course that chipmixer is the one that has replaced bitmixer.io

Great to see that you guys just revived a topic from August of last year with the latest post was also from that time. Nice. Sarcasm

Bitmixer has been gone for a long time and the OP probably don't even ready any of the suggestions you people have placed here.

No offense, but I think it's a waste of time using a mixing service with these amount of Bitcoin; 0.006BTC=358.64USD, 0.006BTC=53.86USD, and 0.006BTC=71.73USD. Also, I don't think online thieves would be interested in it too? Try mixing coins that worth millions or even hundreds of dollars and let's see what will happen.  8)

There is mixing service still live in the market buddy. After bitmixer closed their service. now cryptomixer and chipmixer are take the mixing service market now and people are also trusted chipmixer as a suggestable one for any mixing service.
I still I do not under why people still saying bitcoin mixing work is helpful for terrorists and others.

Bitcoin basically anonymous transaction but with mixing their coin, it's far become untraceable and become more difficult to find the source.
So some group may have advantage for using this kind of service

At first I want to mention that this thread was created in August, why do you people bump it now?
And then, bitcoin mixing is used for that reasons, other people don't need that extra privacy. If you have white and clean shirt, why will you wash it? You need to wash when it's dirt (just example).
And also want to mention that bitblender and cryptomixer are old ones, cryptomixer has proved it's reserves too.

Bitcoin isn't anonymous at all, and especially not when it comes to the majority of the people. In most cases people buy their first coins from an exchange, where in current times account verification is a must, so all the coins they withdraw from that exchange, will have their personal information attached to them. In order to get rid of that personal taint, people mix their coins. It's as simple as that. Bitcoin is no longer the preferred way of settling illegal transactions, where I have been seeing privacy centric coins as Monero gain more popularity. I am just waiting for the day these privacy based currencies start being the main currency on dark net markets -- the sooner that happens, the sooner we get rid of the idiots blaming Bitcoin for everything that happens.

The privacy focused coins are more likely to be outlawed. At least more likely than a mixing website being outlawed. Even if a mixing website is outlawed a new one can pop up, but if an entire coin is outlawed? No idea how that shakes out.

Can somebody answer why bitmixer closed anyways?
