Looks like you can predict the price just by watching Google trends.

Here are some more graphs:

As usual people getting once it is valuable or expensive. Many countries are adapting bitcoin like japan and south korea that's why it didn't surprise me that the volume of bitcoin search in google is surging. People are curious on why some country are using bitcoin while it is just a virtual currency.

I think the constant reports on CNN and Bloomberg are the real reason people are Googling Bitcoin. It's hard not to want to get in on it when you hear it has risen by several hundred percent since January. It's the dot-com boom all over again.

Bitcoin rises in value. Google too can be considered a way to help in the growth. Without Google lot of us could have never known anything about bitcoin. Just on people searching more about bitcoin the economy of Google will grow. Maybe a part might get into bitcoin while the rest just search to know about it.

The media always plays an important role. It's almost insane to see how the mainstream media news sources that were hammering down on Bitcoin back in the days, are now extremely bullish on Bitcoin. On top of that we have Goldman Sachs contributing significantly as well. It's pure madness. This kind of bullish sentiment is very important, because the average joe more often than not, adds a lot value to what's being covered in the news. In most cases them taking everything in the media for granted so easily isn't really something to cheer about, but in this case it's all positive for once. It's safe to say that never before, there has been this much fresh money flowing into Bitcoin - its effect on the market is clear for every one.

This is just a chicken and an egg problem. And it's clear that Bitcoin's price comes first, and than the google searches follow, and not the other way around. Bitcoin's price didn't increase because more people suddenly started googling "Bitcoin". You can't predict Bitcoin's price by watching Google trends, the market changes much faster than people's interest in Bitcoin.

That is exactly what I was thinking as well.
The google trend gives you an overview of the situation at the moment.
I don't see how this leads to the prediction of a future developement.
The trend and the price seem to do the same thing at the same time. None is really ahead of the other.

Google Analytics shows the growth in the number of queries about bitcoins. This indicates the increasing demand for the currency. Accordingly, this leads to higher prices. Do not underestimate Google Analytics. If the right to use it then you can earn good money.

We haven't seen anything yet, it's still not that big in terms of google searches. In any way this proves why people stay poor: They only care about things when they are going up in price. You had to do your homework back when nobody was googling bitcoin, there was plenty of time after the 2013 bubble busted, but people are sheep and they will only learn about things when the rest are coming.

We are going to $100,000 long term but people will forget about bitcoin during the dips/crashes instead of accumulating as the smart money does. While the rest sleep smart money works hard.

this is true even in forbes bitcoin was already mention because it reach $570 - $4000 in less than a year. I just read it today and this is a good thing for those long term holder because they can actually take advantage of it because people will going to be more curious about bitcoin so the demand will raise more than it raising today. people will gonna find out that they can make more income on bitcoin.

Your point is hardly understandable and invalid. Even in the case people become more curious about Bitcoin, it doesn't mean in any way that the demand will rise. You can be curious about something and search in search engines it doesn't mean you are looking to buy. If people buy everything they search in Gooogle then LOL.
Forbes has been covering about the Bitcoin and Blockchain topic far before it reach "$570 - $4000 in less than a year" I don't even know where the Bitcoin value jumped from 570$ to 4000$ in less than 1 year

Google trends don't tell you anything about the current growth spurts other than that they are... well... happening. However it helps to visualize the positive feedback loop that is the media and Bitcoin's price. I guess what you are actually seeing is people getting primed for the next growth phase, when everyone will be reminded that Bitcoin is still a thing: "Remember when you were thinking that it's too late to invest in Bitcoin? Well, it wasn't."

I think those who are searching in google about bitcoin is those are people are newbie and no idea if hat actually is bitcoin because they notice the price are really increases and i think attract other people and curious about the price increase ..
And honestly thanks for this looks like i have idea about the google trends and it can be a good if you really trying and follow the google trends ..
Also because of the other people who are promoting bitcoin and other exchange site how they are promoting it in  social media is also 1 of the reason why bitcoin is getting popularity and making the price increase..

That presentation is one of the reason why people tend to look for bitcoin because it really gives a positive prediction for the future value of bitcoin...Many are now adopting crypto currency and want to earn bitcoin...sooner as the demand for bitcoin continue to rise I am confident the value will continue to rise and gives high profit to all users.

it is more like a circle rather than only one way thing. your title is actually correct but i don't agree with this statement.
it is always like this:
.... >> price rise >> more news coverage + more search >> more adoption >> price rise >> more news coverage + more search >> more adoption >> price rise >>  ....

and that is exactly what happened. the rally started this year and reached the ATH (~$1200) media went crazy, price went up higher, media went more crazy, new ATH was reached, you could see bitcoin everywhere and people were speculating about new ATHs, so new ATH happened again and media went more crazy and now you can see bitcoin on the front page of major financial newspapers.

It does seem to be a virtuous cycle. As the price increases, Bitcoin attracts attention and a new set of investors come in. This causes the price to increase further. But be warned, the opposite is also true. When bad news comes, people will leave in droves.

Yes, many people are interested when the trend is experiencing a remarkable improvement. As it is said that the rise in bitcoin prices reaches 70% in just 30 days. Many people are then looking for information about bitcoin and in the end they are interested and use bitcoin as an investment. Information can indeed change everything, information has a strong appeal to change one's decisions.

High price is the best advertisement for bitcoin, it requires nothing more than a community being active on it's own and just with that new people will become interested, without any marketing, promotions,etc.. Just yesterday I was i a caffe with my friend and his friend, he wasn't into bitcoin in any way and the two of us were talking about the price, so he got interested and after a few minutes of talking I could see him searching for bitcoin on his phone.

I believe this is true. Due to the mainstream media btc curiousity is higher that makes them search about it. Not to mention the influential people promoting and investing in it. People seeing some publicity stunt such as that of the latest dota tournament guy holding a banner that urges people to buy btc. Being curious is natural for us that's why when we see or read unfamiliar things the first thing we do is to google it.
