Will the LTC price rise if the lightning network is active?
What other chances has LTC to increase attention?

BTC is the best option for shorterm or longterm Investment, as you can see BTC price going Up everyday, not like LTC stuck in that price
I'm sure BTC will be more than $5000 by end of the year 8)

I think yes litecoin's price will rise after the lightning network is activated on litecoin's blockchain because
it is one of bugs fixing on litecoin's network and it is good for the network also will affect on the litecoin's price,
the other reasons will makes litecoin's price increase is halping block of litecoin. We can see the last halping block of litecoin
has made litecoin's price increase, it will happen in the next halping block of litecoin too.

I will pick BTC. The amount of USD that it jumps when it gains more value is really high unlike LTC or any other coin. Maybe because of its popularity or every altcoin is somehow leaned to bitcoin in exchanges and wallet site. This cause a lot of movement with bitcoin which makes it easier for a trade.

My thought is that BTC is a far better investment. I don't think LTC has a lot of upside from where it is, and with the new BTC forks it's only better than before.

I think for now it is very vulnerable to invest bitcoin. So I advise you to invest in Litecoin, they have a fairly stable price and the fluctuations are not too big as bitcoin

Both is profitable and you can earn profit and you may serve it as a long term investment. Btc is a good investment as the price is very active as of the moment. And also with Ltc Im very pretty sure we can earn good profit on this coin.

btc is best in either investment. even in short or long term. btc also has more potential and benefits that ltc as altcoin.

LTC's big pump was all about segwit. Litecoin managed to get segwit before Bitcoin due the fact that a lot of miners were delaying it as much as possible. They also made a lot of money in LTC by playing around with their hashrate power during the signaling process... it was really a circus.

Now that segwit is around the corner for BTC, im finding it difficult to defend a long position on LTC, it has nothing to offer for now, so stick to Bitcoin only.

A few weeks ago I would have clearly said Bitcoin. Just because of the split and the free BCC / BCH coins through the fork. After the bitcoin price has increased so strongly over the last two weeks, I would invest in both. 60% in LTC and 40% in Bitcoin. I'm expecting a correction at Bitcoin. Then Altcoins should benefit and rise. So you can balance or reduce your losses.

If you do have the money then going both coins would really be the best thing. I have known LTC isnt really moving on previous months or even years but now on the news that it might activate lightning network then its really possible for its price to rise up now and i do really strongly believe on that one and if i do really have the money i will put some funds into that coin and specially to bitcoin it wont really be left behind. Yet there are still other choices too which diversifying would be the best thing to do as of now.

I'd take BTC any time. Ltc seems stuck in one place, not moving anywhere. Btc seems so much more dynamic

I know Litecoin will not be stuck in its place forever. It is just waiting for the right time to acquire much price and fly really high. But so far, we just have to wait for such things to unfold in their proper time. That is why, for me it is better to invest in BTC. A much safer choice and a quicker one as well.

I agree, I will choose to invest in btc as this is very high potential. We can trade either short term or long term investment. If we can notice price is high and if you can hold we can really earn huge profit. In Ltc I think it is also good to invest that until today it is still active in the market.

Btc no more futher thinking, why? Because of the value of it, it is a good investment and haven't you heard the news about the bitcoins, they will never be broadcast on mainstream if they are not that successful. But ltc is also a good investment though a little investment may do because for me, ltc is just a baby for now preparing for their growth. What do I know, maybe they will immediately grow without even knowing. Lets just investment in all those who have potentials.

If you are choosing between BTC and LTC, I will spilt the investment. 80% on BTC and 30% on LTC.

Then why not diversify it further by adding a few more of the promising altcoins such as Waves, Bitsend and Stellar Lumens? But I would advise everyone to limit their altcoin holdings to a maximum of 20%. Leave the remaining 80% to Bitcoin.

BTC is at its all time high these days. It's quite risky to invest on it, I think the price will go down sooner or later.

LTC is a strange coin in my opinion. Its technology is nothing special and the price never reached as high level as ETH. But Charlie Lee is a serious dev, its user-base is large and has a quite long history so far. So I think it's always a good choice.

Because investment is a goal for longterm or at least for me more than holding 3months. Then, i prioritize in LTC to invest. Current cheap price can make me to gain big profit some time later.

That is best choice to our portofolio invest on bitcoins and litecoin, however there are no better investment between bitcoins or litecoin
the both has huge risk losing values in them, no one who gives guarantee will not crash.

Completely agree. Right now I would split as well 60/40 in favor of LTC.

I would still go for bitcoin even at current price. It is still good with a little bit below 4K as support and 4.3K as resistance. I play along those prices and earn some profit. But that is just me. LTC is also a good coin. If you want to go long term, invest in both. I do not think you will lose on any of them, long term.

Interesting that the current situation with either Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash make each chain more similar to litecoin. Bitcoin Cash by increasing it's blocksize has found a way to have a larger transactional capacity that matches LTC. Meanwhile with Bitcoin adopting segwit it will enjoy the capability of the Lightning Network, MAST and it enhances the ability of Smart Contracts on side chains just like Litecoin. I agree that by following litecoin both forks are better than before.

Some Bitcoiners like to call litecoin their testnet; but, it's just a dismissive way to acknowledge litecoins leadership. Hopefully, litecoin can continue to lead BTC in the right direction and keep both coins relevant.

Bitcoin cant go up more than 50% for example in 1-2 month. But if altcoins go up, they can go really 300% and even more.

Do you think what is better BTC or LTC? Bitcoin is now activating Segwit and it is expected to increase the price that we now feel and see. While litecoins are still stable and still continue to collapse, Litecoins has to take a long time to raise prices. But it's better to have a LTC reserved for you in case it starts getting out of the box and getting ready for a place.

In my opinion is BTC. But there is many altcoin that you can start trade with that. ETH, IOTA, NEO is one of them.

I suggest you invest btc for long time period. See again their price action history, volume and news speculation. Besides that, btc is the mother of coins, every speculation will giving impact into another coin. Last thing is, bitcoin has the biggest trust as alternative payment or making profit. Either of the coins require risk when we invest it in since the changes in its value is uncertain; whether it goes up or down. But if you want to gain bigger profit, then i guess its best to invest in btc since there is a huge possibility that its value will continue to rise up to 5k. Ltc have been stable for a while though it is also good to invest in it while its price is not too high  as of the moment, making it affordable to buy,  but if one plans to invest in Ltc, it should be for long term investments.

Maybe with an active ltc lightning network can attract attention and prices go up, and for my opinion maybe btc is the best choice for investment because they have proven it.

Bitcoin for short or long term holding will definitely give you a sure profit.

80% on bitcoin and 20% on ltc.

Although bitcoin is the mostly used and mostly known cryptocurrency, but in my opinion I think investing in bitcoin is not one of the best moves at the moment. Looking at the current value, I think there is too much is risk. However, Litecoin investments might be the best move at the moment since litecoin still has a chance to go as big as bitcoin. It is still affordable and the risks are slightly low.

Obviously, BTC is better investment than LTC.  Long term investment in BTC will definitely give you good profit than LTC.

Yes at this time price of bitcoin is so high and altcoin certainly can be good investment or trading alternative, and LTC is altcoin which has potential to continue to grow but currently price of LTC is declining, maybe this is the best time to invest in LTC.

Well I really go for bitcoins. It is all about bitcoins. Look at the pump of bitcoin. Once 2009 to be exact,its price was only .09 usd and look at it right now. Each bitcoin is now worth $4500. Imagine that. Well the problem by now is the price of bitcoin. And the price of litecoin is now $45. Well I really think that it is up to you. For me I will go for bitcoin. Because it will pump so high in the next years. After next year don't be shocked if you see bitcoin at $10000. Goodluck on investment.

Yes I bet to bitcoin because I believe that this crypto currency had more potential than to litecoin. Moreover, bitcoin value is continue increasing while litecoin price was not stable and sometimes fluctuate to increase but a little bit value.

I'm not sure bitcoin cash has a future because the price is stuck on that price after the hype is gone. On the other hand, Litecoin has a huge increase. If i must pick on that both two coin, i rather pick litecoin. Litecoin price will increase soon when the bitcoin price going down, so just wait for it or you can buy it now.

I like to invest in btc more than ltc though both are good coin but as we all know ltc has been very quite for long time now. But I am still hoping that this can still grow.

If I have to have a choice between BTC and LTC, BTC for sure. LTC is a shit coin, nothing new has been developed for years.There are too many coins claimed to beat BTC, why not give them a chance?

This is somehow i truly agree as we see that other altcoin now is far beyond bitcoin. When altcoins getting pump to the moon they said that it will be the next bitcoin but again they dump and bitcoin will rise  suddenly and the gap is to far apart somehow that they cannot replace the bitcoin from the throne.

I also think Litecoin's price will rise after the lightning is activated on its blockchain because if its bugs will be fixed then Litecoin will go back where it had left off before bitcoin went to the moon but if I were to choose between which of these coins are better to invest based on its achievements over the years and that would be bitcoin still. This is just my opinion though, I truly believe in bitcoin and nothing can stop it from going to the moon.

If you are going to consider on investing in litecoin which is technically a form of crypto-currency you should also consider investing on Bitcoin. Why? The nest reason is all forms of alternative coin depends or have a specific value in terms of Bitcoin. So the price of Bitcoin in the market affect the value of other crypto-currency making it a form of a universal crypto-currency good in the platform of trading and management.

This time Bitcoin hit the higher price ever. I think, invest in BTC very damn high risk for now, better choose LTC nor other Altcoin for safe play while waiting for bitcoin in stable price. If you have high adrenaline, go catch some profit in BTC.

Recently, Litecoin has emerged as a very potent altcoin, even comparing it with Bitcoin. Litecoin has a relatively good growth rate and is currently stable at around $ 45, which is not a bad price at all. I do not really follow the development of LTC, but I think BTC is the champion, many people have hope for this, but if you want to try invest for LTC I hope you succeed.

To invest, I will suggest BTC because this will give instant profit no need to wait for a long time. To see the price variation we can make at least $200 profit per day. If we have $4k investment. That means within one month we can get back our investment. LTC is only good to miners they can mine more coins and earn money. Or else buy LTC and wait for a couple of years to get profit.

It's good to invest in ltc because there is lots of project using ltc blockchain such as adcoin is one among them still there is lots of Ico coming which will utilize ltc blockchain and again it's the longest existing cryptocurrency with open source.

Ltc prices tend to be stable right now, I think it can't generate much profits to invest in ltc, if for a long term investment I prefer bitcoin but for the short term it may be altcoin like ltc or altcoin which is more potential that price changes tend to rise and fast is good investment.

They are both looks expensive now since they're went up high. But it is good now since we see that they're really increasing and for future it can still increase.  So they both worth having.

Yes, I will also choose Bitcoin as I said above. The value of Bitcoin is so great that it is an e-currency that has the most value today and many people are investing in it. As you say, we can make a short profit from Bitcoin without having to spend so long to wait as LTC because LTC has a much lower value. I think there will be few LTC buyers and wait a few years to sell, it will take a lot of time and I'm not sure that the LTC value will increase. However, it is also suitable for people with large capital and trade coin

I have ETH, BTC and LTC but the majority is BTC (> 50%)
I think the price of ETH, BTC and LTC will go up in the long term, so for me it is buy and hold

I think it will be futile, I have learned it, ltc does not seem to be getting up just walking in place. You better invest for another.
