Well, this is anti-speculation, I know :) but let's be honest: some of today's TOP 50 altcoins will be gone and forgotten a year from now.

Which one(s) and most of all: why???

I've got some suggestions but I'd like to hear some of yours first... :)

Neo because it will change its name for ChineseEthereumhypedcoin.

Sounds like you are one of those frustrated folks who did not buy NEO early

I did well with NEO and its not a bad coin but its way overvalued and I'm out for now. I wouldn't touch it right now.

I think non of the top altcoins will die off like that. But some half dead projects may die. There are handful of projects like that (Das looks like one)

Yes, if we look at the very top on marketcap nowadays, eth, ripple, litecoin, dash, monero, zcash, neo are not likely to die. I am not sure about these other coins like iota or nem, though. But they don't mean much even nowadays. Just look at historical snapshots and you will be convinced. In august 2016 top coins where eth, ripple, ltc, steem, etc, dash, nem, maid, nxt. Now among these only nxt, maid and steem are not top 10 but they're still in top 50.

well if i want to give a more logical answer i'd say none of them because they are on top for a reason! and that reason is not going away that easily. it can be pure hype or manipulation or something else but whatever it is, it can keep the coin alive even if it loses the position "on top".

but if i had to give a guess, i'd say Ethereum. because there are a lot of bugs and issues with that coin. the scaling problems, the network congestion, high costs, slow transactions, hacks, people losing faith and money in it, the soon to die mining, Vitalik not having faith in his own project,....

This is not a top coin but I believe egame is about to be delisted from novaexchange soon. When you get delisted from nova it's basically game over! If you want to be an egame millionaire then grab some soon

Litecoin

I will go with Ripple.  I'm not sure how that coin is even at the price it is now. 

top coin is hard to die, because there are many stakeholders, maybe they will not on the list gradually, but that will be a long period

It is tough question. Even guessing which ones out of bottom 50 are likely to die is not easy.
Overall, in such a powerful bull market, even pigs can keep flying.

I think that approx. about 30% of all coins that in the top 100 at the moment will be on the brink of extinction, for example DOGE ( i am still wondering who is holding it, come on, it has nothing to introduce to their holders, except for a puppy ;D ) or all other coins that has the same idea as SONM (supercomputer).

Welp.. My TOP Fav. altcoin Dobbscoin (http://www.dobbscoin.info) is being de-listed from Cryptopia according to the lies they are posting on it's market page. Still solo-mining nicely none the less.. It's ALWAYS headed for extinction, on target no doubt with the end of the human race.

Egame does not have any potential to make you rich. They are almost dead and soon will be delisted. No altcoin at all has a tendency to make you millionaire within few weeks. This thing is only attributed to bitcoins and all wise traders and investors are after bitcoins just because of this reason.
