Post by: SuperStar1 on August 18, 2017, 12:30:44 AM
Hey guys I have downloaded freewallet for Bitcoin and was wondering how it works?
I intend to link it to my mobile. Question is will I receive any email confirmations from freewallet if I choose the login with mobile option in the app? Appreciate the help thanks.

I never heard that wallet. I try to find on google but what i found is a lot people say if that wallet is scam. Maybe you can try another wallet, if you want use web wallet, blockchain and coinbase its good and worth to try. But make sure you already backup your wallet when already register it.

Don't use it. For android, download Mycelium/Copay/Electrum.

1. Freewallet is an web wallet that has full control over your private keys. Use a app that gives you full control for yous coins, or they are not yours.
2. There was reports of funds getting stolen while using any of the Freewallet apps[1].

You can use Mycelium like TryNinja said. There's some wallet that support on ios.
You can check some good wallet list in here https://99bitcoins.com/best-bitcoin-wallet-ios-iphone-ipad/ so you can choose what do you want. I will recomend mycelium for ios. You can check people review about mycelium on google.

How about Electrum wallet. The desktop wallet don't removed transaction history if I understand it correctly. I'm using it right now and I can see it on the history tab.

Its good to used Electrum because you have total control of your private key and its very safe and fast and did I say that you can also adjust the fees from lower to higher if you are in a hurry to get your bitcoin confirmed. I suggest you try to used it mate.

That wallet is a scam based on my experience. Take a look at their facebook page and see the reviews that claims that freewallet had stolen money from them. Don't download any wallets made by this freewallet. I've warned you to prevent disappointments in the future.

SuperStar1, if you're using your phone number to log in, you can still set & verify your email address in the Settings to receive notifications about balance changes, verification messages, etc. to your email. We have a pretty decent knowledge base, plus you can always contact our support in the in-app chat for more info & assistance.
