bitcoin has been maintaining it value at 4k+ last week, some speculations that it will hit 5

Nobody knows for sure. What you are asking about is a matter of speculation. What most of us think is that it will keep going up in the long term but we do not know exactly when the new dip will be.

maybe yes maybe no, no one can know. but my speculation if bitcoin success for segwit maybe price can more than $5K in this year

there're a lot of speculation what will happen,
a lot of factors involved in our current price,and many people have their own opinion.
for example :
Back then people fear about chain split that will happen on 1 august,because there'll be another coin created based on Bitcoin we called it BCC,
but a day before split come,Bitcoin price retracing back into its place and hit another ATH.
so,people keep buying it because of FOMO(Fear of Missing Out),and here we comes.

So what will happen next ? nobody knows about it what will happen,but even if we don't know about it,
we can make a preparation for ourself,there're only 2 option Go higher or Go lower.

Yes it will to near to cross $5000 or go more to $6000, By this month it is impossible so assume it before the end of the year of december.

Yes sure, i think Bitcoin price will keep raising on end this month, or stay in the price of more than $3500. And the obviously bitcoin price will not get down to $2000 for surely i guess. I'm sure bitcoin will get more popular and more peoples are interested in the benefits of bitcoin than others.

The 5000$ decent speculation hasn't come yet and most provably the rise will not be stopped until by the end of this month and surely we can even see more on next month around so just hold your seat and make sure you didn't dump your coin for this early.

I believe bitcoin price will continue to increase by the end of the month.  There is a huge possibility that bitcoin will reach 5k USD since the market is still in its bullish state.  As long as there is no FUD or badpress being released, their being bullish will continue.  I also think that $6k by the end of the year is reachable with the upcoming updates regarding blockchain issue of bitcoin.

for me I say, it will hit 6-10k, for the upcoming months, and that's what all want, but an speculation will always a speculation, lets just wait and see what will happen next, surely bitcoin will exite us for upcoming days :)

That is about to happen and $5000 is anytime soon to happen i am thinking in the next years possible price don't aim only for $5000 aim for your future and save bitcoins.

sad is cause i think there is few people who managed Bitcoin value ... and they can do whatever they want.. pump or dump :(

Considering there is no big news to influence the market into current situation.
I think the price in the next few weeks will get corrected down 15 or 30 percents .
To bounceback by the end of this year as always that bitcoin market did in the past.

bitcoin is just starting to rise and it is in the early stages of the rally. for the following 2 months the rise can continue even if it means at a slower pace. we have some stuff coming up but that won't happen in this 2 month period. and everything is currently ready for it too.
there is little to stop bitcoin now after activation of SegWit.

I don't see any reason for a huge dump in Bitcoin as for now. So, I would say yes Bitcoin will keep on increasing in coming months as well. Actually Bitcoin is in uptrend since April and did continue it till June. July was the month of uncertainty that is why there was a halt and we saw a drop. Otherwise there is an increase in demand as countries are legalizing it, mainstream media seems more interested in it and people are trusting it more and thus the price will continue to rise.

Purely short term talking, as long as we have the activation of Segwit (there are five days left till activation) still ahead of us, the market will remain holding its position at current levels, and may even end up touching the $5000 level in best case - after that a correction is inevitable. How much the price will end up falling back down remains to be seen, but I don't expect a whole lot drama. My personal guess is a test of $3000 to be very realistic. This will be a perfect buy back opportunity, or a perfect moment for waiting people to enter the market at a bit cheaper levels. If people don't make use of that opportunity, it's really a shame as people have had enough chances to buy at lower levels.

Correct, it will take some time before we see the price crashing, it is going strong since the split and I think it will continue to do so. Of course there will be correction along the way but it will be non significant as investors have already fully trusted on bitcoin that they will continue to buy eventhough at premium price.

Countries will surely adopt bitcoin sooner otherwise they will be left out. There are news that the first Egyptian exchange will be put up, they are just waiting for regulations coming the government. So once they are allowed trading volumes and price will surely go high again.

Im really surprised that bitcoin has maintained it's value at 4000 US Dollars in the last few weeks, and like others I expect it to hit 5000 US Dollars, but not at the end of this month. It is too fast if it will touch the said price by the end of the month IMO, since it has just breached 4000 US Dollars mark this month. That being said, bitcoin still is unpredictable so it might or might not reach 5000 US Dollars at the end of the month, only time can tell what will really happen.

Most likely it would. Segwit is incoming just around a week is left for segwit to get activated, that was has been causing this up trend mostly. And since the price is skyrocketing since last month the FOMO is increasing within people and they are buying ore BTC and thus the price is increasing more.

Not so sure the end of the month will hit 5, but if the value of 4k dollars this can be maintained I think there is still a possibility of 5k dollars will be touched at the end of the month.

bitcoin now keep increasing and everyday pump the price value i think the bitcoin continue to raise before  the end of month reach a price value upto 5000$ or if not reach that amount maybe at first week of incoming will reach the price value 5000$, the bitcoin now rapidly continue the popularization in the cryptocurrency world.

Monitoring this price is really tiring. Still looking for a right time to sell or maybe I will not if this keeps on going on. Just want to be ready if a big dip is also coming. Better stay awake

Promotion is not growing by raising prices. This requires a lot of factors. Including the ease of use. It seems to me that the development of trade with bitcoins will have a much greater impact on popularity than any increase in prices.

Who knows as all things is possible to happen, it may rise or it may down. What matters here is, the current price is testing it's resistance. It's way more better than a quick jump to $5,000. Speculations to reached that target will really rise because of the continous pump this past days or weeks but if ever there will be a price decrease for a range of $500 up for let's say tomorrow, another speculation will be made again.

So let's just watched and see what will happened.

Every user expect for a price pumping by the month end, but none is sure about the hard reality of the price variations. Anything might happen anytime. It's all about the market acceptance and the circulation of bitcoin with regards to the total volume of coins available in the market.

I'm expecting some profit taking this weekend (people moving some money into fiat just in case miners switch to BCH and BTC starts having problems mining blocks.

I would think that bitcoin could reach 5000 $. This is not impossible because nowadays I often see bitcoin price moving over $ 500 in a very short time. If the bitcoin price is currently at the $ 4300 price it is certainly possible that if there is still about 2 weeks. Bitcoin is a very profitable investment and let's see what happens next at the end of the month.

bitcoin will surely surpass $5000 barrier. there's a lot of demands as of today you can look it up on the web. because bitcoin was recently one of the trending news when bitcoin reach $4k barrier in less that a year that's the reason why you must guys hold your bitcoin then sell it when it reach $5000 because there where always be a big dump also after the bubble price.

In my opinion, instead of try the risk in end of this month for waiting Bitcoin continue increasing up again, choose take profit early will better than it.
Because example the price of Bitcoin can reach to $5,000 but you can sure 100% you have time for sell your Bitcoin in that time.

My opinion is that bitcoin price will stay on this range, between four and four and a half thousand dollars in next couple of months. It was fast growth after August the first but I think that we will see that same situation as we had couple of months ago, when price jumped from 1200$ to 2000+ or better said 2500+ and stayed there for some time.

I also foresee that possibilities that $5000 will be met after several days to come after this month and it's hard to achieve that amount besides it now fluctuates down. Now is the chance for new investors to buy and hold for long term investments, because after that minimal decrease the huge price surge will come our way. That's why it's a good reason to invest for now and never dump your asset easily because price showed a higher potential to show up. 

It will hit $5,000 for sure and we may not know if the rise will continue this month. There can be some pausing while it can continue for the next month, who knows? But as we can see on the charts for the last weeks bitcoin will be no doubt to increase and this is going to be continuous.

Prices may continue as per exchanges are witnessing incredible volume and already many media coverage are talking about bitcoin's new peak prices. When new people are getting into bitcoins, we cannot expect any downfall in near future. I am very much confident prices keep on increasing toward $10,000 levels by end of this year. After that one million dollars target by 2020 hence where we may find levels for prices to slip down.

I'm thinking with the side of bitcoin's price increase, exchanges can't take the volume and value of bitcoin and possible they may shutdown. Though I'm not saying that they don't have enough funds but this is just a factor that I'm thinking with the current price increase of bitcoin. I'll just hope that it won't happen and price will continue to surge.

Hope that it will not happen just like before that there are exchange site was hack and crash and then the price of bitcoin crash and many people also panic selling..  this is always happening every year but right now looks like we are still not seen any exchange site crash or shutdown..

Not sure. Personally i do think that this is a bubble that we are currently in. I'm just not sure when it is going to burst.

If it doesn't burst for another 1 month then yeah, bitcoin could well continue to rise until a week after Segwit gets implemented, and $5k is just an arbitrary figure. It could go up to $6k as far as anyone knows in these crazy market conditions.

IMO, what's likely to occur is that btc goes up to $4800-4900 and then is unable to break the $5k barrier, and a price adjustment occurs as a result.

Remember just because it's going up doesn't mean the bubble isn't going to burst.

The possibility that the price is very likely to happen. If you look at how bitcoin prices move then there should be a price increase at the end of the month. Bitcoin prices every day are always on the rise and next month's time is right to see better prices.

It will hit $5000 of course. That will happen before late this year I think. But I prefer BTC to be lingering on the $4000 figure for now, at least for some 2 to 3 months so that the alts will not be too affected and suffer from quick rises of BTC.

Well if this continue to stay at this level I think its a good way gaining support more people will invest since they are seeing higher chances for the price to move up though we are seeing some downfall and maybe some are also riding with bch for some quick earnings.

It is hard to say. What I can say is that bitcoin is currently having a hard time breaking its resistance level which is 4400. And now that BCH is on the rise as well, it makes it harder for bitcoin to geet past that. In fact, it is dragging bitcoin down. But its support at 4000 is well intact so we can say that it can still make a bull run and break past 4500.

I try to avoid the speculation threads, as most are just exercises in mutual masturbation,
but I am somewhat curious myself where bitcoin is headed this month.  We're stuck in
the $4100-$4300 range.  If history repeats itself (which it may not), the stagnation
should be followed by an upsurge.  That would be nice, but I'm expecting a correction one
of these days, too.  The rise has just been too damn dramatic.  Then there's all this bubble
talk...

I don't know but this is coming to my mind. I'm not into crashing or hacking that will happen to the exchanges but the thing is that they can't take it anymore as the price gets higher and they need to shutdown their service. Well I'm just overthinking about things as this is possible to happen because of the price increase.

altcoins rising price never had any significant effects on bitcoin price. they usually have the opposite effect of what you expect actually. because when they get pumped (BCH was pumped about 90% last day) they give their traders a lot of profit and all that profit comes back to bitcoin in the end and pushes the price even higher.

exactly, actually altcoin is following bitcoin, if bitcoin price is down, then it is time for altcoin to go up and vice versa. but for this condition now, i think bitcoin will continue to raise until the end of month and in next month, the price will reach highest price but of course there will be a correction before it is increase. maybe this time is a good time for altcoin to go up and make correction for new price.

Maybe the price of bitcoin become 5000 dollara before end of this month of august . Because as of now the oprice is already 4300 dollars and it will continue to increase again for sure next week. But if bitcoin price not reach 5000 dollars before end of this august maybe it will reach the month of september . So its better now if you buy bitcoin to make a lot of profit.

Even i had a felling that bitcoin would indeed cross 5000$ but it doesn't really matter much even if bitcoin ends with 4000$ end of month reason for this is it has already increased by more than 1500$ if we expect the price to rise more it will just have more chances of falling in coming days. Don't always be happy if the price increases the most important thing is for how long it stays

BTC can definitely hold 4k past many dumps that tried to take it down below that level but it looks like it will take some time to reach 5k until the end of this month because if it goes, it will be a pure pump and we don't need that. Let's go steadily and wait for some more time as SegWit2x drama has come up and everyone is talking about a second fork to take place (possibly) in November. It will certainly reach 5k until the end of this year.

For me it does not matter how much is bitcoin. I rarely sell bitcoins and so even when you lose 10-20 dollars due to the falling prices I'm not upset. The basic amount of bitcoins I have and so their growth compensates for the few times my loss from the sale.

I think so, there are no stopping for bitcoin and there are no reasons for bitcoin to stop increasing, the issue has been solved and there are no big alt coin that threathen bitcoin, so people will trade and hold bitcoin, bitcoin price will continue to rise just dont know how fast it will rise and bitcoin price lately has been a bit wild and unpredictable

Nobody knows that exactly, but we all know that bitcoin will hit $6k at the end of the year. By the way, i think there is gonna be a correction in this month, it will probably hit $3500 and then go up to the sky again, like it always did. (remember when it touched $1,8k and then $3,1k)
But if you wanna buy right now, buy, it is so cheap and it can almost be doubled at the end of the year

I'm not so sure at the end of this month bitcoin price will reach $5000, but i think the bitcoin price wouldn't be far between $3500- $4000. That's my estimate of seeing the current price movement, however i don't know whether my estimate's right or not, i just expected hopefully end of this month will reach $5000 more.

Well, the remaining 10 days until this month ends, I also do not think that bitcoin can touch the price of $ 5000 this month, but I think bitcoin can reach $ 4500. Well, but it will happen if bitcoin price rises quickly within 10 days.

I believe and have believed and will survive a bitcoin continued to rise until the end of the month even to the end of the year 2017 because of the bitcoin currently reaches number $4000, probably in late August or early september of bitcoin will achieve $5000. I expect this would happen so till the end of the year 2017 so that bitcoin going towards the era of renewal that is by the numbers $10000 ;)

yes its look like difficult but i think not impossible for bitcoin. i am sure that bitcoin price will continue increase and in the moth of September it will cross 5000$.therefore i think the best option is to hold bitcoin for some time and secure our position because bitcoin will surely give us a good profit.

Thos month has nothing new like you predict between $3500-$4000 in relation on its current movement and we can expect more in the next month. thinking of $5000 this month is possible but it is much better to hold your bitcoin to be sure without expecting.

For now, bitcoin prices are still steady at $ 4000, and there are no signs yet to rise again. But in a few days, or weeks, the bitcoin price will certainly go up again, whether it will rise until the end of the month or not, of course, I'm sure the price will definitely go up.

I see bitcoin rises occur in time every week. Very likely btc touched 5K, but i am less optimistic if will happen at the end this month. And more likely to occur in september. Bitcoin trend is very visible, technically it moves well in one line.

Yes, technically speaking the price growth has happened from the beginning of the year. In between the price reached new ATH and the price seems to grow with high volatility. Hope there will be an price pumping by the end of the month as the resistance gain is going on.
