I daytraded altcoins, but stopped that, as Bitcoin went up. Daytrading is a bit like gambling. Better invest on longterm. Many Altcoins went up within a few months. Ethereum was this year on 40$. Doge where in February on 0.0002 $, as I remember. Also good ICOs can have profitable longterm profits. Now I make my portfolio and hold it because I think, good altcoins will continue their upturn for years.

Day trading is very promising and traders especially professional and skillful one are really make it in day trading. As a personal trading experience, I have made a lot of profits  from altcoins trading and the most profitable things to do is to buy altcoins that are very cheap and hold then later sell them for profit at a higher prices. When I bought litecoin at $25 early this year , I have in mind that the coin is really undervalued! From there I expect the coin to rise in future and take profit. This principle is simple but few follow it.

I believe that doing alts trade you need to study alt before, see how it behaves, know its resistances and supports. And of course, study it, know how to get out and know how to get in.

I used to do day trading altcoins but I  stopped it three months back. I understood one thing . Its better to buy bitcoins and hold it since it's price is increasing like anything. I have also invested some money in ethereum. I find holding coins more profitable than day trading. Its may be because I am not good in day trading.

The most times i try to buy more coins holding long term. Just watch out for some fundamental good long term bags, that have a good range to grow and a great community behind it.

day trading is a risky thing. you need patience to make money in crypto. i found keeping your coins long term pays more in the end

i don't prefer day trading. long term investment is the best options for altcoins and ICOs.

i agree it seems that day trading alt is more risky but perhaps the best strategy is a multi front attack. Long term investing in bit/eth/ and im going with neo and day trade for small percent gains on coins like fun. But if you are going to day trade, do you feel its better to trade back to bitcoin, where the price can fluctuate a lot, or something like tether where it seems to be very stable at 1 usd.

I think that used trading policies is importance think you have to do for making  profit when you buying  cryptocurrency  in less price  and holds for times you can get more like people  purchase  BCC in .067 and selling  when goes. 0 225  so do not try to buying  any currency's i. high price if you want to profit in future.

Well, Long term hold is not always the option, I am holding some coins since 2013 which are worth a shit now: Quark, Primecoin, PPC, etc.
Back then I decided to hold and now everything is gone from them.
On the other side I am holding coins like stellar since the beginning and made some really good profits.
I would also love to start day trading, if anyone is willing to teach me, will be happy to share some of the profit!
Thanks!

It's close to gambling honestly unless you really know how to read charts / understand the market -> EG buy the rumor and sell the news eh?

Daily trading is a very difficult process. Not everyone can do it. This requires a lot of experience and knowledge. If you do not have the knowledge and experience, it is absurd to enter this business.

Day traders need bigger capital, fortunately to anticipate the decline at the time of purchase. If the capital is embedded there is another capital that we can humiliate to buy another altcoin again. So we do not sell the loss of altcoin we have bought it
