Title: 4/6 GPUs working with msi z170
Post by: Tonyoh on August 18, 2017, 11:31:33 PM
Hello :)

I am currently mining ETH with 4 gtx 1070. I was also able to connect 2 others with risers. With lspci I see the 6 gpus are there but unfortunately nvidia tells that there is only 4 GPUs... I have been struggling for the past 5 hours and tried all what I could google. I would be sooooo thanksful if someone had a clear fix on this.

ps: I am using ubuntu OS.

Regards,

Which version of Ubuntu are you using? What motherboard?

What BIOS settings have you modified, and what other troubleshooting steps have you already taken?

I battled the O/S linux and windows for quite awhile then scrapped them all for ethos and have 6 online. you can get it https://gpushack.com for  $39. download and set your setting. Haven't had much downtime either.
