You could create a temp address for receiving that one payment, if you are worried about it being tracked or something. Title: Re: Can anyone give me 0.01 bitcoin for testing? Post by: chungy on June 23, 2011, 12:22:33 PM If you want to test, join the Testnet (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Testnet). You can currently get 5 BTC (testnet) from its own faucet (http://testnet.freebitcoins.appspot.com/), and the difficulty is rather low so you can generate a few hundred in one day easily.
Still, for testing, even 5BTC is more than enough :P Or 0.001 for that matter. Title: Re: Can anyone give me 0.01 bitcoin for testing? But people like testing real money, so I think the faucet is a win, letting users jump in and get some real money right off the bat. Title: Re: Can anyone give me 0.01 bitcoin for testing? Post by: Jimerson on June 23, 2011, 01:48:49 PM I thought that the faucet was an excellent site and it helped me get started in understanding bitcoins.
