Title: Antminer S9 13,5TH - under/overclocking, temperature and loudness
Post by: btctroll on August 20, 2017, 04:09:42 PM
I have started mining now with a s9 13,5th batch and because of the loudness i have underlcocked the machine down to 575.00M frequency with a fan percentage of 43%.

Fan speed is at 3,120/3,720. The loudness in dB 75-80 but i always think the psu is louder, just because of the small fan.

The temperatures are the moment max. 67° PCB and 99° Chip. The room temperature is about 20°

All in all i have about 12-12,3TH which works for me now at best. I dont have tested the consumption yet but it should be not more than 1200w.

Bitmain says 0-40°, i have read not more than 90° PCB  and 115° Chip, other say not more than 60° PCB. The s9 stops automatically at 80° but in tests at 90°...

How do you guys run this loud beast?

Look through the existing s9 threads dealing with it. All you ask has already been covered in there and there is no point in repeating it all for the hundredth time just because folks are too lazy to read a little.
