I've looked on the charts on coinmarketcap as I usually do, everything seemed to be as it always is and then something extraordinary caught my sight: monero is not worth $90 and went 75% up through the day. Usually only shitty coins have these price pumps. What's happening? I know it's a good coin, I was even thinking about buying some. Why is the price suddenly so high? Any major improvements done? I sold my $350 of Monero last week :(

We did already missed the opportunity on buying cheaper monero going back on the previous days and now im regretting again and again. Dont know actually the latest news or rumors and on the link you have given i think it do really have a relation on its price movement. If we did bought earlier we would made almost 100% profits and thats really a serious bunch amount of profits on our portfolio.

Monero has good potential. This coin has one of the safest protocols. Therefore, it will grow in price.

Maybe it is time for Monero to go to the moon.
It was way undervalued IMO. Needs to be at the $300+ range.
Only regret is not buying more last weeks.

I also see Monero got listed on Bithump. A Korean exchange.

this is not the first time a good coin goes up in price and it won't be the last, it doesn't have to be a weird thing like the other topic in this board about it is suggesting. and it doesn't have to be "scammers" buying it just because it is the anon coin!
it is just how this market works. coins rise up after some time of accumulation and market manipulation and they come down usually and stop at some better price.

Finally Monero is moving, was pretty undervalued to some of the coins, that increased in value the past few weeks.  :D

well... it's not listed, just rumors from twitter ...
and litecoin is listed there as well but price is not skyrocketing, so why monero should be different?

Because Monero has a feature. LTC doesn't

simply because the market maker decided that it is not time for litecoin to rise for the moment, and they decided to focus all their attention to monero for the time being and then divert it fully with all the profit they gain from XMR to LTC afterwards.

p.s. it is good to see a coin that deserves it, is rising.

Monero will be very anonymous with adding the new cryptography from the RuffCT paper which will be published soon.

Here are the reasons XMR went up:

• Bithumb adding XMR
• RuffCT crypto paper enables RingCT up to around 100 => more anonymity XMR beating ZCash
• Multisig
• light wallets on Google play and Apple store soon
• Kovri I2P in work
• a lot of media coverage for XMR (CNBC, Forbes)

Its possible. It would likely go to mars, the more options fr those who like privacy. I'd be one of the the keeperr of ETH that will hold forever. I have  had mine for over 2 years already to which I bought when the price was just $50.  Privacy/ untraceable will be a great feature.

I love Monero ever since I learnt about it. It is one of the greatest coins in the market probably right behind bitcoin. I would love to see it going to the moon.

Sounds like you have a little happy, congrat. I feel like its growth won't be quite linear and stable and it won't be a very sound long term investment to make.

Number of reditors on r/Monero are increasing by 1000 every few days now and should reach 20000 soon.

Last wave of newcomers that hit crypto in Spring 2017 just discovered the most fungible coin in existence.

I kept hearing about monero nowadays. It's good news that it's rocketing it's way up. I don't have any monero and I think since it's price is increasing in value, it's not ideal to buy anymore because I will not gain from it. Any ideas or suggestion guys? I'm not really into altcoin investment since there's a lot of altcoin and I don't know which is which.

Bithumb is the world's largest exchange and it lists monero. As it is skyrocketing now, many people will sell it to make profit hence there will be one more chance for those who want to buy monero.

It is already coming down significantly from the highs so a pullback in to low $60s should be the next buying chance.

it's a great time to buy these days. Don t have any problems with the price for now :D the future is great for that coin. I toke few more last days.

In fact monero is going to the normal, because it always followed bitcoin from 1400 000 to 2200000 satoshies and now it is 1800 000 satoshies, what is the surprise? 

Yes, but could a Korean exchange make such a big difference? I understand if it was a Chinese one, but Korea doesn't seem to be deeply into cryptocurrencies.It already did. Even though the price went down, it's now worth $80 which is great for the currency and not so great for us who missed the chance to buy it in time. I guess I'll try to be attentive now and perhaps buy monero when the price drops a bit more.

Ehm. Korean Bithumb has the largest trading daily volume on the whole world. Ranging into 1 billion USD. Bithumb has brought BCH and ETH that high.
I read yesterday also some traders in Tradingview chat wondering how a "tiny" exchange could change that much. Yes 1 billion tiny. lol
Such a profound lack of knowledge causes people to miss profit or lose money.

Bithumb has also just few coins listed, some of them are crappy ETC and DASH.
So a lot of this huge volume could flow now into XMR. We can only guess how high the XMR price could explode through this.

hoping to buy it soon in the future. i have sold it on the $77 and i have gain a good profit from it but then i have invested some of my invested in new coin which are under $1 and hoping it to go to moon in the near future. i think there are many other coin which has a good potential and will go to moon in the near future but right now i am going to buy it soon just waiting for price of it to dump.

please check the price bitconwise. The price is not so high.
Monero price was also over 0.02 btc on sept. 2016, march 17 and may 17.
Daily price is not important. The important think for long time investors is if the price can stay in that levels or not. Monero couldnt achive it yet.

It's good .. i think the community of monero will make suprize because i a long time not hear that xmr will goin up .. and now we will see with that issue xmr going to the moon .. good job team ..
