Title: mempool conflict
Post by: minibank on August 21, 2017, 10:10:47 AM
Hi. I am unable to send btc. When i try to send bitcoin using my blockchain wallet (web version) an error appears "...258 mempool conflict". Anyone has anything like that? It has began couple of days ago.

it probably means that you have already made one transaction previously that is not yet confirmed (in other words it is currently in the mempool). and in your new transaction you are trying to spend the same funds again (same transaction output) or in other words you are attempting to do a double spend.

My last transfer was confirmed as usually and i tried to send different amounts of btc. I have no unconfirmed transaction to or from my wallet.
Any ideas?

to my knowledge "258: txn-mempool-conflict" means there was a conflict when the node (blockchain.info's node) tried to validate your transaction to put it in its mempool.
most of the time it is because of double spending or creating an invalid transaction.
but also i believe you will get the same error if you include a very low fee too. (less than 1.5 satoshi/byte)

I set generous fee and i'm unable to send btc. Thanx for the answers. You react much faster then blockchain support.))
Looks like i'm the only one with such problem.
