I've seen lot's of hype of the past few months about waves but it has been trending downwards in terms of price. I still think I want to buy but:

1. Is now a good time or should I wait for the price to keep dropping?
2.  How do i go about purchasing waves? which exchanges is it listed on?

Waves is a great coin in my opinion, I see it going $50+ this year and $100 next year.

I think that the waves in the coming time will show great growth, especially when they begin to do ICO on their platform.

And what are the risks associated with leasing? Can you lose your coins or are they just tied up for a certain period of time?

About the first question: don't rely on advice,,, especially from this forum. Get what you want at what price your own research recommends to you. That way, you don't have false hopes and you can learn properly. But my opinion: since you can earn from leasing, probably no harm to buy now. You can earn more to make up for losses if the value drops.

About the second question: if you are asking this, you shouldn't be buying any crypto! Invest into a service that takes care of your decisions for you. Good luck.

It is hard to predict future value but I think it can be safely assumed that investing in Waves yields better chances of profit than gambling. Waves is gaining influence rapidly and is considered as one of the possible future alt-goliaths. All this is speculation however and I agree with the person above me that taking advice from others regarding investing in crypto usually isn't good. I did it myself and the results were mostly disappointing.

Really waves is good potential coin i think.Still now price is dump 4.46$ in https://coinmarketcap.com so its time is best for buy waves.Waves after four or five months raising minimum 30$ its my personal predict.

I think waves is a good buy. But don't expect it to moon instantly when you see others moon. Read about waves, about the team, the project, and if you believe invest.

It is always bad time to buy a coin when it is rising you should buy it if everyone is hopeless about it and sell it, ~buy always when there is blood.

I am in the same boat. What I think i a good plan is to buy BTC, transfer it to the DEX thingy and then buy Wave from there with the BTC transfered. https://waveswallet.io/

If you understand this is a longterm hodl then buy Waves. Waves will be worth a lot in future...so keep buying them at every chance you get.

But if you are looking for quick pump and dump profits then look for other coins.

All these hypes are for long time in future waves price will definitely increase in short term you can't expect to get good returns it is still under development and still has a long way ahead of it. Once the company passes these hurdles it is shoot to moon just buy now and hold.

if you want to purchase waves now , maybe you need to hold it atleast for 1-2 years. but if you want to keep it for short term dont buy now, wait for the deep, if you purchase for long term, put your waves on leasing, you can get more waves if you leased it. keep it for two years, there is an improvement in DEX development, now you can use DEX on your android phone.

Of course, it is worth buying and keeping, because it is expected to grow against the background of the latest news that smart accounts have been activated on Waves MainNet. The growth potential of the coin is at least 100x. I personally bought and I'm glad.  ;)

I don't know that mainnet waves will be launched and activated,
hopefully if that happens then the waves will definitely rise

Never had a high opinion about waves, i dont think about it as a project that has big value to me. In a down market such as this we are having now, it will suffer as every other asset

I still believe in this coin. I think that it will grow in the next 2 years to a price of 500 dollars. The project is good, the team too .... why not ..

Waves is a very user-friendly platofrm for creating tokens. The problem is that most of people who are in crypto community and what to create their own tokens are good at programming anyway, so they don't really care about interface and build stuff with ERC-20 standard. But when the time comes when various businesses start to realize that they need to adopt blockchain and want to cryptonize their projects, it might come in very handy.
The price is very low right now, so now is probably a great time to buy. You can buy Waves on many major exchanges, so I don't think it'll be a problem.

Before the last 9-10 months ago Waves price was all most $15 but now Waves price is $2.30 according to the coinmarketcap (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/waves/)
My opinion is, this is the best time to buy Waves and I believe after next 4-5 months it will reach $30=35 so buy Waves now as much as you can. So let's see what will happen.

hype of waves was so much higher last year comparing with now. but that hype did not work during that huge bullish run at the end of 2017. i dunno it can go upward. hard to say. if you want to buy it is already listed in all major exchanges like binance and bitrex.

actually i recommend you buy waves if you have a lot of money,
i am sure the waves prices can touch 10 $ even 20 $ again

I think that is a general perception and the logical reasoning is also needed to be discussed. Besides, this is true only about an asset with great potential in its early ages Right now, when all the coins in the market have reduced values and very low prospect of growing anytime sooner, I do not think you should invest in Waves. Better change your mind and go for something else. ETH, Litecoin and Bitcoin are great alternatives.
