I was also thinking about this as idea. There is new Ukrainian production http://cryptomat.com.ua/ But it's a bit more expensive than $1200, although not much Title: Re: BUYING Bitcoin ATM Post by: warningsigns on September 02, 2017, 03:36:12 AM Buying an ATM can be a bit tricky, not just in terms of the licensing and regulatory requirements but also the integrity of the ATM itself. Buying directly from the manufacturer might be expensive but there is less risk of encountering scams. For the novice, there is a risk of manipulation of a second hand ATM's software, some kind of backdoor access installed by the seller. One never knows. And since you will be linking the ATM to a hot wallet, caution is advised when choosing your seller.
There might be a reset function to essentially destroy third party manipulation, if that kind of risk even exists, but as I just mentioned earlier, one never knows. It's like buying a second hand KeepKey or Trezor. If you want the ATM shipped internationally, think about the Customs requirements too. They will probably impose taxes and will ask for the paperwork too. The kind of paperwork allowing you to import and operate it. Item details: Perfect condition Never been used Latest software (version 0.78) USD model Description: Good as new, never used Skyhook Bitcoin ATM. The Skyhook is a wonderfully simple and inexpensive open source portable Bitcoin ATM. The machine is tested and in perfectly working order. The only thing I have done to it is put a few stickers on it and upgraded the software to the latest version. I would love to keep it but I do not have a place to put it and I hate to see a useful piece of machinery sitting in storage. This ATM can only be used to accept USD. Included: Skyhook Bitcoin ATM, Power cord, Steel Security Cable, Mounting plate, SD card with software version 0.78 installed, Original setup instructions. * Project skyhook was "open source" which means it may or may not have technical support for software or hardware issues - buyer beware.
