under which license are the bitcoin images from the wiki? https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Promotional_graphics Can I use it for commercial products like a shirt? Most artists who have created and disseminated Bitcoin logos are expecting people to use them. So you could announce that you have released something to the public domain, then ten years later you could say "Actually, from now on I would like to collect royalties."It's trivially worked around by adding an implied license, e.g. "I release this to the public domain. Do whatever you like with it". Then you cannot successfully sue someone who did whatever they liked with it. |
