Title: Bittrex vs Binance
Post by: SavvyOli on August 22, 2017, 10:33:34 AM
Hi guys,

i know this is a David vs Goliath comparison. But as Binance is the first exchange to give you NEO GAS, while bittrex takes all of the GAS, i feel its coming up as a strong contender.

any views?

Binance is better GAS wise, but everything else bittrex wins :)

But why not use both?

does it make sense to use binance as a neo wallet? hahaha

Im not sure on the whole Neo issue but i have used trex for many many years and love it, I have never had an issue with tres and i dont hold any Neo so lol but if trex is not paying gas i would not hold my Neo there anyway simple as that

At a Binance the abrupt design, modern) Bittrex already has become boring, but there it is more than currencies) I use both

No since you cannot send NEO to ICOs like Red Pulse which are starting on September...

Use both brother. Binance is new and there still are not vary many coins trading on it. Bittrex has more and the reputation is also good.

Only just hearing about Binance but I will be sticking with Bittrex as they have proving to be a very stable and decent exchange and I'm not buying into NEO right now.  Be careful with any new exchange and only keep a small amount on them just in case.

trader choose exchanger not about design
but about trusted, and much trader register and then high volume transaction

if every new altcoin succes ico selling and binanced added can trade in there i think slowly can equal bittrex
if above bittres still very dificult and imposible

I don't actually compare the two because they are both useful but if I need to choose one I should choose bittrex because
it's been serving us for a long period of time and it is serving as very well. In fact some traders in poloniex are transferring to bittrex
as it has a lot of market for altcoins.

Not even a little threat to Bittrex. The volume and the number of tradable coins are so huge in difference. You are right, this is actually comparing goliath and david. But there is still a big room for improvement for Binance.

Binance feels fresh. I bought some GAS from there today, it went smoothly. But it has very few coins listed currently. The Binance token is also quite innovative

Well even if binance is the first exchange to give you NEO has bittrex is still way better in many aspects. You can really save from sending and receiving NEO via binance but is it safe there? IMO it is safer to use bittrex because they are a well known and an established exchange while binance is not that old of an exchange so there is a higher risk of one losing stored NEO there. Unlike you OP, I dont feel like binance is the upcoming strong contender of bittrex.

So far I have only had good experience with Bittrex, but would put NEO in a personal wallet or Binance.

No, because the coins you don't own aren't your coins.
An exchange shouldn't be used as a wallet.

IMO, trading platform is not a good wallet choice. I only keep those coins in trading platform temporary for the trading purpose. Haven't tried trading in Binance so can't compare the features.

Yes this is true. Storing your coins in exchange is too risky. My friend store his coins in bittrex and now he got scam. Like out of nowhere his coins just like a bubble that disappear. He already contacted the support and hope it will get back to him. Thats why after I trade my coins in bittrex I immediately transfer it to my wallet.

This is true, bittrex have been used for how many years now same on poloniex too and i didnt even heard about Binance exchange site since i do have only the focus on most reputable ones but for now these reputable exchanges have already some issues hope they would able to resolve it.

Checked out Binance and it looks good. But since the volume isnt super high yet you won't be able to tell if they can handle it or not. They have their own currency as well, but I am unclear of what the benefit of holding it is. Bittrex is still my go-to, high volume, a lot of coins, also a lot of trading pairs with eth, since the ETH family is quite big now, I use eth trading pairs. However Bittrex has a lot of dead inactive coins and they need to do some type of cleaning soon.

Bittrex is horrible with their KYC bs why don't we get to know our trader too ? They very quick to ask us for a freaking selfie which is so cheeky and rude but I'd you ask them for their info then want ? They won't give it to you so why should I trust them ?

I'm not comfortable giving a business access to my passport which is meant for national government identification.  If they REQUIRE a passport, that is not a good sign.

If you can't decide which is which then why not use both then and you can compare them both to which you are comfortable using because we all have different perception. I myself like using Bittrex than Binance.

How easy is it to get verified at binance?

I notice the btc price there is higher than on bittrex.  So if you are selling btc for altcoins and then selling the altcoins eventually for btc, is it better to use binance or bittrex if the btc usdt rate is higher on bittrex?

Bittrex has Enhanced Trex chrome extension, does Binance have anything to make it ... well less crappy with concerning the charts? Binance seems to be the better exchange, especially for withdraw times in my experience, but the charting application is rough in the basic and advanced mode.

I would choose binance when it comes to trading fees because they charge 50% off in transaction fee when you are using bnb coins as fee and beside that they only charge 0.10% fee whereas in bittrex they charge 0.20% trading fee. They distribute the gas in Neo while bittrex does not. They already have stop limit option which is one of the edge of bittrex before but now both of them have the same feature. There are some problems with Bittrex regarding account verification and you cannot withdraw unless you are verified while in Binance you can still withdraw even if you are not verified.

Can you explain the binance fees if you own binance coin?  So you pay 0.10 percent fee when trading on binance compared to 0.25 percent fee.  But with the binance coin, its 0.05 percent.  But how many binance coin do you need?  Does it mean if you send btc to binance, you need to convert your btc to binance coin and then use that to buy other altcoins to pay the 0.05 percent fee?  Or does it just mean as long as you own binance coin, you get that discount?  And if so, how much binance coin you need on your wallet?

I made a purchase of an altcoin on bittrex and it was pretty simple.  Binance looks much complicated.  Are the prices at the top and bottom... which is the to buy and which is to sell?  On bittrex it shows you left side is to sell and right is to buy.  Is binance that user friendly because it looks a bit complicated compared to bittrex?

Hey Binance. Some of us are enjoying your exchange, but some of us are of course questioning why you are raising the fees since you are still new and still have to compete with the big guys. Of course, fees will rise after a while, we all understood that. But with crypto prices going so high now, are you not making more money already without having to charge more fees? What is the plan for you to remain competitive and attractive? Just maintain fees below the big guys or do you have something long term in mind?

Bittrex is a bad exchange now unlike before because they forced you to verify yourself and it's only a matter of time before some talented hackers will expose our identities. I'm now using Binance but I hope they are not only good at the start.

Used to prefer bittrex. But their support team takes almost a month to response to my tickets. Personally I think this is really bad, especially it’s for finance related industries. Same happens to poloniex. Just don’t understand why such a big trading company couldn’t provide a more responsive support.

binance is worst exchange site I have ever seen. They asked me turn on 2FA when withdraw and then I dont receive sms code to login my account. I tried to contact their supporters and got nothing. In the next time, when I can login I will withdraw all my coins and say goodbye with them.

I don't know what to think of them. I got verified on all other exchanges I applied for, yet Binance rejected me for having unclear photos of documents, despite having shot them with a €2k camera and €1.5k lens which documents are crystal clear to be seen over 40MB a piece (even shrinking them with Irfanview to 1MB, they are crystal clear)... yet people get verified with sloppy 1.3mp and 3mp cell phone cameras. Heck, I got verified with credit card companies, a+++ banks, real estate brokers, forex brokers with much less clearness, but I cannot on Binance with top gear equipment? Anyway, needless to say, I don't trade here, but good to have an account in case there are problems with other exchanges. I guess they don't want serious traders, but swingtraders or investors who trade once a month or per quarter.

I never had a problem with Bittrex and they're always razor fast on their trading platform + deposits and withdrawals, so that's where I trade my alts.

Personally, I think Kucoin (Hong Kong) will outgrow Binance (China) and Bittrex (USA) will always be here to stay (as a giant). Why I have the countries in brackets? Because of geo-politics, anything can happen in China at any moment. I trust the most freedom and stability in Hong Kong and Singapore. Usa is a tricky one.

"In response to China’s decisions, we are moving our IP’s from Hong Kong to an offshore location. Now we have our IPs registered in BVI ( British Virgin Islands) and other locations. So we are registered in multiple locations and we have people in multiple locations. That way we will never be affected by one regulatory body."

If you're a representative of Binance, thank you for your fast and reassuring reply. That's positive news, I'll reverify next week. I'm looking forward to trade and stack binance coins on your platform.

I enjoyed the binance exchange. It is easy to verify identity. just a few hours. and low transaction fees. I will choose binance better than bittrex. Although I am using both exchanges
binance is worst exchange site I have ever seen.

I think the service from bittrex is not so kind as for service from the Binance, I perfer to use Binance, bigger trading volume and fast service.

I've been accustomed to using bittrex, and it has been verified since August 2017, and for binance I just signed up last week, so have not had time to try to trade in binance, but if it is already used, trading on any exchanger it will still be comfortable using it , when the new will indeed be confused

Hi guys,

i know this is a David vs Goliath comparison. But as Binance is the first exchange to give you NEO GAS, while bittrex takes all of the GAS, i feel its coming up as a strong contender.

any viewis?
I like in Binance, nice support, withdrawal speed, technical support very good.

Bittrex operators are insider trading shitcoin pumping scumbag market manipulating scumbags. Steer clear from their exchange. Binance for the win!

lol no, ive using bittrex for a long time up until now but i dont think they are manipulating their own exchange. you know the markets is just mere volatile and that is why your experiencing a sudden change or fluctuations all the time. binance on the other hand is also a good exchange with fair fees and faster process when compared to some other known exchanges out there but overall id still prefer to use bittrex because they are the oldest and the most popular exchanges ever known since then.

Binance is currently accepting new users.  They're adding new coins like crazy and actually answer support tickets (unheard of in this space, apparently).  Quickly becoming the top global exchange.

So yeah i let my reference here, to the benefits of both parts and new users.

I choose both because both exchange have a good reputation in crypto currency industry. Also list of each exchange have a good value, on the other side almost same list and price so I don't want to select anyone in this exchange.

bittrex has been around for way longer than binance. However binance has a great approach regarding marketing and list more new coins than bittrex. i like to see bittrex as the more conventional, oldschool exchange and binance more as the new type of crypto altcoin exchange.

i agree that bittrex is older than binance thats is why i still trust and use bittrex over binance although i also have an account on binance but id didnt like their interface as well as their ui therfor im still sticking into bittrex. although ive heard several good feedbacks about binance. overall i believe that majority of votes will be half because most users will also loved binance but there is also a die hard fan for bittrex including me.

binance above bittrex
in binance without verification still can withdraw until 2 bitcoin/day, in bittrex must verification can withdraw
and volume transaction in binance still above bittrex

Binance exchange should be chosen as this is the world's leading exchange floor at the moment. This is also the only exchange floor have an application on the iOS and Android smartphones, convenient for traders to easily track rates and make transactions anywhere without carrying a laptop.

For me I'll choose Binance cause I often have to go out so I can't keep my laptop next to me all the time and Binance exchange has moblie trading app, it's very convinient so I choose Binance to trade. But there is a problem on Binance that I can't trade with small amount after the comma, for example if I have 0.1199 ETH, I just can sell 0.11 or maybe 0.119 ETH. LOL

Just few months after Binance birth and it is already becoming bigger and stronger. It is not a David vs Goliath comparison anymore. Binance being a Chinese exchange but functioning completely as an international player is what makes it big and successful.

Binance is a place where east meets the west and all that money is being traded there, china whales are using them as proxy since they are based in hong kong and are under differnt laws then the mainland.Same for us outsiders since we can buy coins that are mostly chiniese startups and we would be able to buy it anywhere else, its a win-win situation for all sides

yes, binance is an international exchange and is now the target of a new token wanting to get in there, having such a large volume that causes many broker interested in binance

Bittrex without a doubt before is one of the best exchange but as time goes by, they have been stuck and started to become weak in something. A lot of withdrawal problems occurred that made other traders, depositors or investors to remove them from their bucket list. And with binance, its starting to shine and they are now one of the well known exchange but I'm worried that the same fate as bittrex will happen to them in the near future.

Your website has been so very buggy and its very slow in loading. Many users including me are experiencing tons of lag's so that will make your exchange to become slower. But I know you are having some maintenance and you are trying to upgrade your system. It will make your website load faster and reduce those lag's that we are experiencing. That's what I can see and I hope you'll consider the continuous upgrade of your exchange and as well as with the security.

Binance all the way.
They actually love their customers. You can get a support reply within 2-3 days with Binance.
Or weeks with Bittrex. Also, Binance has a amazing looking app, big plus.

But Bittrex requires ID verification for their traders and that annoys me that's why I prefer the binance since they doesn't force their traders to submit that confidential ID's of them. And also I love that asian exchange since it select the coins they add on their system and also they minimize the scams so that people can assure that the coin listed their is potential ones.

I use both but if told to choose one of these two exchanges. I prefer and comfortable using bittrex. Volume and transaction are equally large. Just for me is, bittrex lighter and faster if accessed (trading) via the website.
