How are you going to compensate for the volatility of your CDX token when it hits the markets? As a content creator the $$$ amount per token being paid out will no doubt fluctuate up and down from day to day.......worse for the advertisers, how can they determine the value of their ad revenue on a token that you have to admit.....cannot just keep going vertical forever.

It seems to me that the success of this project lies very heavy on the speculators pushing the value up and keeping it up. GREAT, if the value of the project justifies the consistent and managed upward momentum, but come on, nothing is stopping a pump and dump from happening, lets say for example, from your competition who would love to create chaos for your customers who have to rely on some kind of stability of the coin.

Would a longer term contract signed by content creators and advertisers help?...and would they be willing to do so if pump and dump is done to you by your competition or anyone with a large stake on a regular basis?

what is to stop anyone from purchasing a large amount during the ICO just to control the price? Has already happened to many coins already.

Why not have a derivative coin / tokens tied to the US $  separate from the CDX just for this very reason?

the only other way I can see you preventing large swings is if you held a majority of tokens in order to flood the market or buyback your own tokens in a moments notice. This does not always work so well either.

Don't get me wrong, I like the project and might still invest, but tough questions need to be asked in order to make sure it is project that can be as strong as possible for all parties that want something like this to succeed.

I understand your concerns. But our average contribution is less than 2.5 ETH. It's ALL small time investors and first time users who want to save the alt media space. Maybe some pump-and-dump group will show up eventually, but hasn't shown up so far. So there is no one to create the pumps or the dumps... Once the CDX hits the market, it will become very expensive to buy up coins there. That's why I believe that where the pumps and dumps happen, the coin creators are in on the action. It's all about the people.

I have been speaking to Sten on Skype. He brought his two buddies on the team. I did not talk to them. I have already reached out to Sten to explain why he is using different names. There might be legitimate reasons for that. People do change names sometimes. I'll let you know when he gets back to me.

Anyway, we haven't paid Sten or the other two anything yet, as the software development is scheduled to start after the pre-sale and before the ICO. Just in case these guys turn out to be some kind of weirdos, I have a backup team of devs standing by as well. This is the online world. You just never know who is who.

As for the video with Adam. Adam is a well-known person (https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Adam+Guerbuez+scammer&t=h_&ia=web). Our colleague was reaching out to hundreds of youtubers to let them know about CDX. Adam was one of them. When we figured out who he was, we cut our ties with him. I assume that's why he removed the video.

I have reached out to Sten Loor 5 hours ago and he hasn't responded yet. This was reason enough for me to reach out to our backup dev team. I have asked them to send us a video showing each of their team members introducing themselves. And to send us each members' LinkedIn and Github pages as well, so that we can easily verify that they are who they claim to be.

In the meantime I will be reaching out to Upwork where I met Sten Loor and will be reporting him for identity theft. I will do the same for his two buddies because they might not be who they pretend to be either.

I have to thank the OP for bringing this to my attention. Thankfully, we have not entered into any actual software development with these people, so there is zero negative impact from their attempted fraud.

Really don't know what you mean by spreading "fud" , but I think you can learn a lesson or two about doing proper research. Seems like you've blindly invested. If you can't research and ask the hard questions then this isn't for you.

The coin is called Network. I am not sure whether there are some centralized rules regarding naming the coins. I have researched the most well-known coin listing sites before deciding on CDX. There was no mention of any other coin using this symbol. We'll see.

Read the whitepaper and their backgrounds , this isn't just some hocus pocus plan. It's actually well thought out. Also, in regard to sponsored posts all companies do it. It's not something new , thats how you get your word out.

This is going to seem strange.
I'm thanking you for out competing me, and I've put aside my own project so I could invest it's funds in your token sale.

I'd been brainstorming on a similar concept since '14, and re-envisioned it in '15 when it first occurred to me block-chains like Lisk and Ethereum might best solve the "censorship of thought" problem I've noticed growing since '03.  But my company doesn't develop block-chain.  Though I've personally held crypto since '09, our main "bread and butter" was print and web-media until '15.  So I kind of sat on this whole idea, not really bringing it back out of the cupboard till I began considering potential interest in block-chain beyond just investing.

But, it's much better for ideas like this to be done by groups like yours who actually specialize in block-chain, its development, and have the experience to do it right.

When Patreon out right, Orwell 1984-style, thought-police-banned, specifically someone who was exactly like I used to be at her age, and banned her for doing exactly what I would have done if there had been a Social Media to do it on back in 2002 - and they did it just 11 days after Buzzfeed banned another exactly like one of my best friends from high school in the '90s - I'd had enough.   I had to find a way to care for and protect, I had to.  I knew nothing about crypto or blockchain, I just knew what I had to do.

First I got the idea of just promoting Steem, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized there wasn't anything specifically about Steem that would prevent their community from doing exactly what the elites at YouTube, Google, and Patreon do.  When I spent an evening just testing the waters in one of their chatroom, the few women I actually spoke to all had that same cry-bully snowflake feel I could palpably taste from little girls (I refuse to acknowledge them as grown women like myself) from the Grepolis community back in 2013.

Yeah sure, Steem is block-chain, but it's block-chain on the same model as Youtube.  The only thing that will change when its elites censor people, is that the populous will ask them to.  Instead of Orwell's 1984 we get Huxley's Brave New World.

So I assigned someone who owes me some favors to look into a strategy which involved using Steem as a stop-gap so I could have time to figure out how something like this could be done.  When he sent me back this link:

I've already redirected what had been allocated to my own coin into your ICO.  I've been moving it little-by-little each time I've read another article and became more convince this was the right thing.  I sent the last of it like 90 minutes before the crowd sale ended.

Guys, we have addressed the listing on exchanges issue in the Roadmap for 2017 (https://commodityadnetwork.com/the-road-ahead-for-2017/) and explained the reasons why we are not going to trade coins before the product is ready and before there are actual network participants in the ad network. Just hold your horses for a while. There is nothing to trade these tokens on at the moment. These measures will serve everyone well in the longer term.

AdEx partly can be called a competitor

I have read the whitepapers of projects that might appear to be competitors (such as Adex) and I can tell with 100% certainty that not one of those projects will provide anything close to what we are doing. Whether in terms of the level of personalized service to content creators and advertisers or in terms of community value (in our case that niche community would be primarily the alt-media community). So, no - no competitors.

This has been covered in our latest progress report. But to make sure that it doesn't go unnoticed.

I missed the pre-sale, love the idea and am going to support it. Quick question, I'm an experienced stock trader, relatively new to crypto, have a coinbase account. But, I see that CDX is only available on a few exchanges - Hitbtc, Yobit, Coinbaseexchange, Livecoin, Mercatox, and Etherdelta. I've done a little research, lots of mixed/negative reviews on most. I am looking for preferably USA based, reliable, established and safe. Not worried about cheapest fees, as this will be a longterm buy and hold for me. Can anyone recommend the best exchange based on what I'm looking for? - thanks in advance.

Buy on EtherDelta so you can get your tokens off the exchange and into MyEtherWallet , there is a way to link the 2 together for easy transfers .

This is my first post on Bitcoin Forum so please excuse any faux-pas...

I bought into this (CDX token) on EtherDelta but I have noticed there is no activity since Dec 11?  Regrettably, I did not yet read the white paper so I
don't even know if they plan on sharing revenue when it / if it starts rolling in.  I heard the interview with CMO Steve St. Angelo on Dave's X22report.com's youtube channel called x22reportspotlight.
Based on that alone I decided to help fund them but bought the token in the aftermarket and will hold the token for at least a year or two.

CDX is an ERC 20 token and can be stored on the hardwallets TREZOR, Ledger Nano S and others as well as software wallets. 

Does anyone know if you can store tokens on a paper wallet?

Oh well I have lost money before...

Why is this mooning after several months under $0.03?

I guess Jsnip4 jumped in this crypto so the price surged. I cannot find anyother reason since there are no updates whatsoever in their website blog and their twitter activity is almost none in the past months.

There is no hope for success project now. The devs disappeared as I can see. There are no good updates and moving towards to the good project.

I managed to take advantage of the pump on Livecoin and sold my stake at $0.18 pretty impressive considering a week ago it was under 3c. Wish the rest of you all the luck for the future

Why does CDX deeply drop on these days ?
Bad news comes ?

   Taken a good basis for the project CDX and mediocre abandoned everything. Commodity advertising network will not? Did this it turned out so difficult? Or have some other factors played an important role? Even the presence of a token on large exchanges does not help, there is no demand, interest tends to zero. Yeah, and it looks like the team split up or hid pretty well.   ;)

Now everything falls in price. In May, there was a pamp, you could sell CDX tokens at 15 cents. And now the project seems dead. The Twitter account was deleted, it's very bad.

So ... is there still a team?  Is anything still being developed here?  Just wondering.
