The one thing that successful crowdfunding campaigns have in common is this: Either the person doing it already has a good reputation (Chris Roberts for example). Or they have something to show already, like finished assets and techdemos (like Embers of Caerus). Best case scenario: You have both in very good quality and get money thrown at you in the millions (Star Citizen).

Also I am tempted to doubt that a newly founded startup will be able to deliver better quality than thriXXX or Illusion (which are both in the business of porn games for more than a decade now) which both no doubtedly will create games for the OR once it becomes truely big in terms of sold units to actual customers.

Sounds like the best plan, it's either that or get a loan, the only downside is you have to work hard and honour your deal to pay it off so make sure you're realistic and start small.

I'll be honest, I am totally new at this. I am a white American, 28 years old, living in Southeast Asia. I'm currently searching for Japanese/Korean programmers, but if I can't find any, I'll settle for local Southeast Asia programmers.

Well, I am living in Southeast Asia, and am currently searching for programmers. I'm a white American guy but I moved here a year ago. So because the living costs are cheaper here, I can probably pay a programmer 500 dollars a month. Of course I'll need to check them out first and make sure they know what they are doing. Generally when a person is looking for investment in their business, they try and be as polite and good natured as possible, rather than engaging in a flame war in full view of potential investors.

If someone accuses you of being a scam, why not show why you're not a scam. Show some detailed business plans, some financial projections etc.

You want investment for your business. Keep your politics out of it. What you believe in your own time is up to you, but investors should not hear about your world view and politics.

You can't even get $300 together for the developer kit??? Why should we risk our money for this if you don't believe enough in this project to risk any of yours? Also if you can't manage your own finances to get $300, how do you expect to be able to manage the finances of a business.

The whole claim of 6 million jews killed in WW2 is nonsense. There was not even that many jews in Europe at that time. Even still, assuming for a moment that it is true, let's compare the numbers. Communism was created by Jews (you can google it and learn the truth yourself) and communism killed about 100 million people total this past century. 100 million vs. 6 million. We rarely hear about the 100 million, so apparently jews think that their lives are far more valuable than non-jews. Otherwise, why do they put so much emphasis on a measly 6 million, and never speak about the far greater 100 million?
