Title: question pool alert: erundook
Post by: mr_right on May 21, 2013, 06:23:55 AM
I have used this guys pool from royalcoin days and I only got 50% of what I should make. I switched to another pool and immediate makes double of what I got. I thought it maybe just a config issue and since I didn't spend much time on it, I wasn't 100% sure. Well, this guys' WDC pool is the same. This time I was on it for 16 hours. CGminer reported double what he reports (valid+invalid shares). Now I tried to cashout, it's not working. Was able to get a payout finally. Definitely a SCAM questionable. This guy should be labeled as a SCAMMER questionable.

edit: I was able to get a payout. But my personal and true experience with both his RYC and WDC is they pay only half of I should've made. This is not due to fork or slow ping:

Chain forking does NOT change the # of shares. It only moves your valid to invalid shares. As I said, the total of valid+invalid was only half of what CGminer reported locally. I also configured CGminer to drop stale shares, with this option stale shares are not counted. Until erundook explains why this is, I think this pool is questionable. I changed the title to questionable until he can explain this difference.

Erundook provides good and stable pools. With your post count you need to show some real evidence.

There was talk of some chain forking going on earlier, maybe a chunk of the pools blocks got wiped out.

at least when i was on his pool he was solid _ and he has a pretty good rep, i can only comment on my own experience but when i was with his pool it was working pretty much as it should. _ then again i didn't try many others.

I long since moved to mine a real currency Nibble .

I didn't have any issues when I was mining on wdc.erundook but I moved over to dontmine.me to spread the hashrate.

I cant withdraw.  The automatic isnt working anyone else having probems from erundook?

I think I get more coins from other pool too. But I think it's not a scam, maybe a miss configuration on his pool or my own connection ping.

I just checked my automatic transaction history on their second server, looks fine to me.

If something forked.. he should make a announcement about it.

Anyway, no one of you will care anyway :)

Why would a fork effect auto payouts?

I also noticed bad numbers coming out of erundook....I had half of my miners on erundook (tried both pools) and half on dontmine. The difference was very clear...but I didn't think they were scamming, maybe just bad performance or something.

Either way, scammer or not, the numbers were indeed much lower than others, so that part is true.

If blocks are gone, the money will be too right?

Anyway if there is any problems, he need to announce them.

And auto payment works fine here also

Have you bothered to do a traceroute to it and other pools?

When I ping wdcpool2.erundook.net I get 215ms

When I  ping wdc.dontmine.me I get 18ms

Because they are in different bloody countries!

Obviously my earnings from the faster ping are higher less orphans and rejects.

Look at his pool thread, he is saying something happened overnight with the payout system. He has had to disable manual payout because it was paying out more than owed.

hey guys. could you please *ask* me if something went wrong before calling me a scammer? if you see things failing - ask me, i am here almost 24/7 at my pool threads. i am not scamming anyone, its just bad things happening sometimes just like to any other pool. so please if you got anything that you think is wrong while mining at my pools, please:
- read corresponding pool thread, the thing you're upset with could be already explained there
- if not, post the problem to the thread, add pool hostname and your account id so i could check if anything went wrong

i repeat. i dont scam anyone. i was working really hard to build up my reputation to let threads like this happen.

thanks.

he has a point. He makes and supports pools, the appreciation he gets is being called a scammer when someone thinks "I only got 50% of what I should make". And then " I thought it maybe just a config issue and since I didn't spend much time on it, I wasn't 100% sure."

So after confessing in your own post that you're not 100% sure your first course of action is to immediately label someone a scammer. Nice work brah you're a sweet and value-adding member of the community.

the one thing i will say looking at his pools is that he incorrectly describes them as RBPPS, they're proportional.
Block   Validity   Finder   Time   Reward   Shares   Share cost   Your shares   Your reward
47,122    14   zimmerland   5 minutes ago   32.1   10,016   0.00291   0   0.00000
47,105    31   zimmerland   9 minutes ago   32.3   4,834   0.00624   0   0.00000

in RBPPS the share cost would be equal unless difficulty was changing, and you wouldn't see  rewards=block reward

Mr Right, you really should rename the subject on this thread. I know erundook and he is the last guy that would ever scam someone; bends over backward to help people. And I've been here since 2011. If you encountered an issue, you need to ask him to address it or help, not resort to slandering someones reputation.

if he is not a scammer change the title of this thread since people only read that sometimes without seeing the rest of the thread.

I used his royalcoin pool too, and a few days in he copped the blocks were not paying out right. He spent the guts of a day going through each block manually making sure people got what they were owed. That's not the actions of a scammer. If he was scamming like other pools did he would have shut up shop and kept the surplus for himself.

By far one of the best pool owners I've seen on here

His worldcoin pool is great, looks nice, automatic payouts at your threshold. I have not encountered any problems whatsoever from my perspective.

The guy has a great support 24 hours a day. Previously, he was producing CNC now moved on WDC. Not any complaints there.

I tried JKC and RYC pools from Erundook and worked flawlessly. Definitely he's not a scam.

Admin needs to delete this thread.  Erundook even posted on the pool that there was an issue. His pools have been awesome and I appreciate the work that went into them. People need to read/research and quit jumping to scammer conclusions so fast.  Everyone screams for pools to be open on launch day for these coins, and when someone takes the time to create a pool and get it released ASAP, they freak out when a small mistake pops up. If you have an issue with him, message him first. Posting a scammer thread really should be your last resort.

Just to add.. when I was using the 2 WDC pools by erundook everything went very smoothly. As it stands I'd happy to mine at any pool of his until I see convincing evidence not too.

I think the word "scam" is bandied about far too freely on this forum..

Indeed you are right.

I have mined on his pool exactly what I expected. Even found my first block in life since 2 months of mining :)

possibly Mr right missed the way how payment is made on this kind of pool or haven't checked ping to the server, or...

Anyway he should change the subject of this thread and say sorry to erundook.

This is my true and personal experience. I have mined both RYC and WDC in his pool and the earning rate is definitely question.
