Title: Is steemit profitable?
Post by: setifien19 on August 24, 2017, 07:16:41 PM
Hi bitcointalkers , I recently joined steemit (social network that pays its users )
I googled about it , but still did not find the appropriate answer.
So I said why not to post here , maybe I find something.
Is it legit ?
Does it pay ?
Any experiences

In my experience most Steemit users and writers - even the pros only make a fraction of what a full time job at McDonalds would pay you or anywhere else for that matter. Based on that, I would not recommend quitting your job to work on Sttemit. hahaha :D

Pretty sure this doesn't belong in "Bitcoin Discussion".

A lot of people says "it's someting like reddit", yeah it's kinda similar.

Yes there isn't any scam in steemit but unfortunately the reward of working there is too low, so i will advice you to take it as your part time if you want to carry on there but try something else which is more profitable than it.

To be honest I signed up in steemit from the beginning but I have never been an active user. Several friends have invited me with enthusiasm to join that platform and they have spent a lot of time writing there but to date I have no evidence that they are making much money.

Apparently there are people who are receiving some dollars for their hard work, but personally I do not like an activity where your work is paid according to the subjective opinion of others, regardless of the quality of your work. You can waste hours to write a great essay about sciences or arts, but at the end of the day you will only pick few dollars, and a popular member can make hundreds by posting bullshit.

Been there before coming here.
I posted good stories and yet I didn't get much.
Or maybe because bitcoin price is not soaring yet like this that is why I didnt feel the profit from making a good post.
Don't quit anything and just make it a hobby. Somehow you are earning in two ways.

I also have long signed up in steemit and have an account there. But I am confused how to get dollars there, I finally not active and not interested at all anymore.
I see there are also people here who follow blog campaigns and articles are made in steemit.

It's legit.

It works like a writing/social media site. If you write well about stuff other people want to read, and gain a large following, you can make some decent money. If you don't write well, you'll make pennies.

I actually just joined steemit too and it seems to be legit. I joined after watching one video by the Jerry
Banfield guy who has been making much money from the website. I think all you need to do is work hard in getting your posts upvoted.

I also like Steemit very much, I can post some useful information or posts there and show the link to someone who is interested in it, so I think it is a little better then reddit with a more friendly interface.

Steemit is great for writers, no doubt, though you must be excellent in writing of articles that may interest people. Indeed, you have to promote your articles so you are eligible for receiving rewards. Promoting on PTC, chats or anywhere else boosts the income and visitors.

I haven’t really used the steemit though I have watched a lot of videos on youtube describing how the stuff works and though its confusing, I think it works by paying you when people read your post, upvote or comment and stuff like that.

steemit is great. A great platform for bloggers who have something to tell or to present something. It also works and the payments are made after receiving so-called "upvotes" for the contributions or comments written.
Something untidy and inadequate is still the search for contributions. And also the clarity of the categories I would criticize.
But otherwise a great platform.

I've read a blog about STEEMIT and he shares about his experienced. It's been a tough experience as he stumbles on his beginnings. As STEEMIT capitalizes on ideas which really squeeze your thoughts to be able to keep up in delivering ideas that are on subject of the discussions. Also as far as my own understanding, it is a legit social media platform where you will get paid for curating contents as long as it is within the topic of discussion. Way to Go!

Do you have proofs to prove it's a scam
Have you been scammed there?

Well, I am a steemit member from past 4 months and I would say experience is not bad. Yes, it is true that if you are new and don't have huge steem balance in your account, then it is very difficult to earn anything over $1 per post. In most case, much lower. But if you have content which is original, interesting and of high quality, then you do have some chances. But it is surely not quick rich scheme. You can increase your chances by interacting more, commenting on whale posts etc. joining some communities, being consistent and then you will eventually start earning good on your posts. But certainly as many mentioned before, don't leave your job to pursue it fulltime. You can check out my steemit profile, in my website link to get an idea.

Steemit is bullshit. I was writing original articles about various cryptos collecting upvotes but when i suposed to recive payment for articles payment was declined.   Also some bot called steemcleaners was flagging every single article i wrote as a spam even though i was always creating unique content and even if i used some quote from some other website i mentioned it as  a original source

I had a bad experience on steemit. I actually came there long before I came to Bitcoin (I did not properly understand Steem Dollars as a cryptocurrency). It seemed so easy at first. Just keep posting original content and people will like it. You earn when you get upvotes (likes).

But I lost interest after seeing new accounts of "girls" just post hello and upload a selfie. And they earn hundreds of upvotes and dollars.

Maybe I am biased but if you are not a famous person or hot girl, do not expect much.

Then, there is no place for guys ( even if they are handsome😂😂😂)

Steemit coin is very profitable in market. Only, i am less fortunate to get coins from web steemit. Really, mostly if woman who uses her can easily get upvote or other.
