Title: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: RangerK on May 21, 2013, 11:50:13 AM I suppose analysis should take into account a weakening dollar as much as a rising Bitcoin.
Some people think the emphasis on Bitcoin as a store of value (or commodity for trading) distracts from its use as a medium of exchange. What do you think? Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: ning on May 21, 2013, 05:47:10 PM It's determined, but not predictable:)

Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: masterblaster on May 21, 2013, 08:01:16 PM It's still widely unaccepted, once it does become accepted in a broad sense and if the market cap raises to around 100Billion then were're looking at numbers over 5k a piece. Right now there is so much infrastructure being built that I'm excited. But there is a looming sense of "woosh" it's all over should the blockchain ever become compromised.

What do you think? I think these people are idiots. Why would anyone accept it as a medium of exchange if it's not useful as a store of value? Being a good store of value or a useful commodity is a prerequisite for something to be used as a medium of exchange.Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: bb111189 on May 22, 2013, 03:46:10 AM around 140 i guess

Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: Eric in TX on May 22, 2013, 04:10:02 AM Seems like the price is pretty stable at current levels.
Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: spoorancher on May 22, 2013, 04:59:05 AM I did a quick pessimistic exponential curve fit and came up with $2670. That is completely ridiculous for sure, but it's what I answered for the poll. If that is the price on 12/31/13, I predict that it will then crash and we'll all be able to pick up some cheap coins at $500. ;)
Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: buckus69 on May 22, 2013, 05:03:39 AM It's been hovering around $100 - $120. Definitely below $300 unless there is some kind of big announcement.
Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: Bunny84 on May 22, 2013, 05:12:21 AM I guess it will be about 170-180$ stabilized then

Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: systic on May 22, 2013, 10:30:38 AM $ 192.14 lol very specific answerTitle: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: Coreyok96 on May 22, 2013, 10:35:58 AM I said < $600. Bitcoin has peaked at $266, it can go higher with all the media attention. Now, I'm not saying it WILL (don't invest based on what I say) but it could easily go higher than $300. Nonetheless, there is also the possibility of a massive crash which, although it would be a much needed buy in opportunity, would make the media rave about how bitcoin can't be use as a currency because it's too unstable... again.
Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: grimholt on May 22, 2013, 11:37:11 AM Voted < $600.
This is of course highly hypothetical as it's impossible to predict. According to http://www.bitcoinbullbear.com/ the long-term charts show no signs of a bubble (which has been claimed by some analytics) and a very healthy uptrend. I wouldn't be too surprised if we see new all-time highs before the end of the year. Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: ChronoX5 on May 22, 2013, 12:14:52 PM Went with sub 300. I think there will be a slow but steady growth with loads of fluctuations in between. I must say I enjoy the roller coaster ride quite a lot, although I didn't buy anything real with BTC yet.
Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: RangerK on December 03, 2013, 09:59:43 PM Bump.
Assuming BTC maintains its price level to the end of the month: Only 10% of the community foresaw this rise. 60% believed the price would be < $300. Sure I overshot the top, but wouldn't you like a coin for $500? Title: Re: On Dec 31, 2013, the price of 1 BTC will be: Post by: littlewizard on January 01, 2014, 02:33:50 AM Now it is 2014!
