Title: Coffee supply chain and blockchain
Post by: CoffeeForblockchain on August 26, 2017, 10:39:18 AM
I am currently a founder at The Abyssinian which connects coffee farmers and the startup community. The story is the coffee supplychain is fundamentally broken system that neglects the people who plant and work hard as it requires a lot of manual and careful cultivation this goes on for years(an average coffee tree takes up to  5 years to bear its full crop of beans) but at the end the farmers are super lucky if their life don't result in crisis. I want to change that through technology. I have been fascinated about blockchain and l will be working with that to change the supplychain that is leading this farmers to poverty. The reason why I am setting up Abyssinian.co is to create a marketplace where farmers connect with you to trade their coffee. We will do this by helping farmers bring the supply chain back to themselves and add value to it, this means they learn how to roast, design and pack , they learn about financial side of it. We  plan to teach them about cryptocurrencies as we plan trade with cryptocurrencies on our platform. In the end you will be able to buy it directly, trace your coffee, get information on it, end to end and also rate the coffee and farmer and more. We will also use the blockchain-smart contracts to work on regulatory complexity.  This will a huge step in the coffee chain which doesn't serve the farmers that work hard for it.

I am currently  raising funds to bring this project to existence , I really hope you can join us by contributing , currently we only accept Ethereum and Bitcoin we will add more cryptocurrencies. We want you to work and change the world with a rest coffee that is also changing the lives of millions of farmers.

Here is where you can help us www.abyssinian.co

You won't find good support for your project if you won't even run a spell-check on your website.

>Supply Chain autotmation

I think you need to come up with a more thorough plan and fix your website before asking for donations.

Though your project is something new, not innovative though in true sense, but why will anyone crowdfund the project without any benefits? You have to envision a pathway so that those who invests something gets back something in return, without which it will be hard to motivate investors.

You have good advocacy by trying to help the farmers get more from their products but your presentation is lacking. Prepare us a proper business plan, model, roadmap, feasibilty studies and maybe someone here will be willing to donate for your cause. Or help you start crowfund to get your needed funds.
