I am thinking about transfering 15 ether to bittrex to buy 300 Qtum. I dont know much about Qtum. Is it like NEO? I want to transfer most of my Eth and buy other coins that have potential to grow faster than Eth. What do you think about my decision to buy Qtum???

Its going to be listed on COINONE (South Korea exchange) on Monday so I think it has value to put some $$ there.

In fact it has started pumping today and it should keep doing during tomorrow.

I've been playing around with the qtum testnet. It's fast and smooth. It has more features than eth, more stable. If I had more btc I'd be buying more. It could be worth as much as ethereum by next year. Buy the dips.

I think QTUM has long legs and ways to go. Its valuation is still under $1B mark but not for long.

Not as valuable as bitcoin. Even in this forum I can find dozens of people who are not familiar with Qtum. So, it's ridiculous to compare Bitcoin to Qtum.

However, Qtum can rise 100$ until the end of the year. The Qtum team is doing quality work.

A great news for QTUN holders. QTUM is about to be listed on Coinone (Korean exchange). Perhaps time to buy right now. What do you guys think, it's a buy? mine A big YES!!

I think it is also good time to buy some qutm now, as you can see, many ICO projects such as inkchain are supported to buy tokens with qutm, so it will be widely used in the future in my opinion.

Anyone who tries to tell you what a currency will be trading two weeks out hasn't been trading long enough to make such a comment. I can easily tell you "up" or "down" but who knows, plus I have a 50% chance of being correct.

From what I hear, they have a good backbone, quality work, and a decent roadmap for the near future.

In a technical aspect of the chart, too hard to read anything other than the H4 chart due to the huge spike that ruins my key level plotting.

I'm just in it for a few bucks then I'll move on. I'm a trader, not an investor.

QTUM  high is around $19 so it will run into $20s once it breaks out above. Just a matter of time.

can someone tell me if it is possible to stake QTUM and what wallet we have to use? I have some Qtum in bittrex and I want to move them to a wallet.

I would recommend you to do more research before you decide to buy! As far as I know QTUM is a modified version of the Bitcoin blockchain (combined with features of the litecoin blockchain or something like that). To be honest Im skeptical about QTUM because their CEO was accused of being a scammer somehow. But I also hold some since it was trading on $8, just to be on the safe side.
As you want to invest quite a lot of money in it, I would do more research first (my purchase was only 10 Qtum, so it wont hurt when things go south).

As for the wallet, the QTUM mainnet is up and running as far as I know, you should transfer the coins from Bittrex to the official wallet. Storing in MEW is not possible anymore as far as I know. But Im not sure, Im also still keeping the QTUM that I got on the exchange.

What exactly is the reason to buy QTUM but what is the reason to not? where will it go? nobody knows market is crazy and thats for safe?

The market cap is big enough, I don't think going further prices are easy for qtum project. I heard them with a partnership of matchpool project. They will prepare and send qgup tokens I think.

Indeed. You made a really good point here. It seems that it doesnt matter anymore what you buy and when, the market is crazy and it will eventually shoot up even if its a scam, and maybe also go down if its a really good project. Market is insane!

QTUM got deal with Gazprom (largest oil producer in the world) and Gazfond (largest pension fund, worth 200 billion $$$)

I didn't find this news anywhere. I thought the pump is because of the UBTC airdrop to QTUM hodlers on Jan 3rd and also all the large and medium-large cap coins are pumping, so now here comes the time for QTUM. But if this news is true, then this pump will go longer and can give huge profit in coming days unless Bitcoin goes bullish again which is most likely the outcome near 18th Dec when CME is launching futures.

 However, according to charts, QTUM-BTC pair is trying to break downtrend line while hitting all time high in USD which indicates towards bullish movement.

With pump or without pump Qtum is a currency to invest, has a great team of quality and great commitment, we can speculate and we know it will grow. :)

125% gain the past 3 days.  I am happy :)

I invested in both NEO and QTUM, but even though I am in profit, I exchanged 1 BTC for 420 QTUM when BTC=$3,500 wasnt a good decision. Hopefully it will soon  rise to the level of NEO, good long term hold.

I think it'll hit $40 soon, just need some more time for news to spread

That would be a good thing to do because QTUM coin is a good coin and has the potential for great source of earning. The QTUM may be in the rank on the coin market cap and soon to be it will be flying to the moon after the end of the ICO or soon.

The idea is pretty good. Given the fact that the Etherium will not soon grow in value. This time needs to be used.

Qtum  I've been following lately. the price has fallen too low. prices before entering the upward trend. I think bitcoin is the lowest prices with the strengthening. after the rocket Qtum sent into space, Qtum deserved his rise. but there was a fall.

I was very surprise NEO beating Qtum to their game, this is one project I was very bullish on before the FUD about the team make up but since end of their ICO they have not been able to generate huge interest for their platform the way NEO is currently, I think if they can make the platform very attractive for developers the make may reflect this confidence

Qtum coin is a potential coin and for sure few months the become $100 price so if that happen we will earn a lot of profit for sure.  First I see this project I believe it will increase the price but the price decrease a little bit but don't worry it will increase again.  Better to be patient and for sure your waiting you will be have a good result.  Qtum will become hundreds dollars be patient and maybe thousands.

I read somewhere that Gazprom and few other giant companies are investing in QTUM technology and those powerful companies aren't joke and their teams and analysts did probably close research where to invest for brighter future. among many other coins this one looks less risky. definitely can bonce to 40-50$.

QTUM is a great project. Its price had jumped big two months ago on some big partnership news.
Current prices are a great buying chance again.

I consider QTUM as one of the most promising coins in 2018. The team has planned a lot of good events that will positively affect the price. In addition, I heard that this project plans to make some very useful partnerships.

It maybe will happen but for now better option will be ethereum. Price still falling and eth will be very good investment when start growing. Better than qtum

ETH, NEO and QTUM, those three are in my top priority picks of 2018. But as I'm already deep in other cryptos, so waiting for some greens to move into these cryptos.

Although QTUM is gaining a lot of attention from investors, it will never be able to reach $ 1k this year. ETH has had a huge technological foundation and is considered very successful but it has not yet been able to reach 1k $ over the years. QTUM is new, they need time to adjust and improve. So it will only cost $ 50 this year.

For information who use exchanges other than Binance, lately, Binance made a competition for QTUM and it's price rised because of the high amount of buyings.

QTUM has good prospects for development. With good marketing, it can achieve considerable success. It is definitely worth watching this project. But for now, eth or neo seem a better choice.

I stopped buying GNO cos the volume sucks.  So I'll be holding what I have anyway and start buying QTUM instead.  The chart looks good imho.  A little sideways action for a little buying opportunity in case it trends up.

Btw some of the charts kinda reminds me of April - May 2017.  ;)

QTUM has a good chart movement so far. They could achieve success if they continue to be aggressive in promoting their projects through social media, forums, bounties, etc.

^  Uuhhh nope.  It could be a better idea to just stay away from the market for now.  BTC's down trend could still continue for the rest of the year.  And who knows, 2019 could be the same.  :(

if only people can read the ann thread of qtum and read for themselves about the tumultuous start of it in the forum...
but i dont know if they really achieve their objectives atm. people should do their own research first to assess their potential.

Qtum used to be very popular a year ago, but now, it is starting to lose its popularity. I do not know why. However, I think that this is a very profitable altcoin. It must gain a lot in 2 years.

Has been a long time since no one talked about QTUM, it had its old ATH around 90-100ish $ and now is trading around 9.xx$.

It's still very active, and some prediction that it could increase this year...

What do you guys think ? Will it reach again its old ATH this year ?
