Title: Raising funds
Post by: Two4D2 on August 27, 2017, 10:33:07 AM
I have a really cool idea that I would like to implement, but would need about 1.5 BTC to do it and about 1 BTC for marketing efforts. Now I dont have such sum of money available and would like to ask here for ideas on what could I do. I dont want to start a whole new ICO for that.

Well the best option for you right now, is to give a basic idea of your project. It will gather few investors here and there, with a message like yours, "i have a brilliant idea" etc. You won't be getting an investor like that. Have you done a swot analysis for your idea? It may work in your Brian but it may not work in the market, so do a swot analysis and give the public a basic picture and you may get lucky. Also try your local investors as you have a much better chance getting them on board as compared to getting one from here.

Lovely advice up there. But if you think your idea has a real life app. then start an ICO!

From my past experiences, you will never get a serious investor with a word "I have a brilliant idea"

Try to be more clear and I am sure someone will join your idea if it really worths and you may collect more than you need.

Without revealing your idea, you should post a breakdown of what the 1.5BTC will be used for.

Example:

0.01 for domain name
0.01 for hosting

etc...

Thank you very much for ideas so far, starting an ICO on my own would probably be too hard. I see most of them are very well constructed, high quality forum post, whitepaper, etc..
My English is kinda broken so my ICO would probably look like someones who just wants to take money and run...I do see some ICOs with very simple, text only forum post but then again I dont know how successful those are.

Why not give a try? Setup a proper website, write the whitepaper, plan the timeline/roadmap, ext. Show your sincerity about the project (not the one who take and run). At least show some effort and show some of your skill (If you can't even setup a website, how come can you do the rest). Don't compare with big company ICO. (actually i don't like to invest those kind of projects, seems just like fortune 500 company to me. They only hunt for profit with token sale. Not much help for development and expend the usage of cryptos).

If you have a brilliant idea, i very sure there will be people will support your project. GOOD LUCK

We have to be aware that whenever  we introduce new things or project or proposal  it is always  better to share most of the things like advantages and disadvantages, and the solutions, That will make us successful.
