How Payfair platform works.

The main objective of the guarantor is to ensure the fairness of the transaction.

Let's analyze point by point how it works (step-by-step sequence of actions):

1. Using the framework of our platform, the Buyer invites the Seller (or Vice versa) via a unique link. Using this link, you can track the current state of the application and manage it.

2. Further, the Buyer gives all the details and conditions of transaction and exposes them to the seller (or Vice versa).

3. The Seller negotiates with all the details and conditions of transaction with the Buyer (or Vice versa), and gives his(her) consent.

4. Once the buyer and seller have agreed on the terms, the seller sets the transaction state to "requirements were met".

5. If the buyer is satisfied with the conditions, he confirms the conditions. Funds from the Deposit are transferred to the seller. The transaction is considered completed.

6. If one of the parties (buyer or seller) was unhappy with the deal - requirements were not met, for example, they can dispute the transaction and they have the right to call for the GUARANTOR.

7. The guarantor is required to observe the rules of the transaction, monitor compliance with regulations on the part of the parties to the transaction. The main purpose of the guarantor is to settle disputes between Buyer and Seller and to exclude all possible risks that may arise in the transaction process.

8. Details of the work of the guarantor: to support the deal 3 independent guarantors are called, who evaluate the terms of the transaction, listen to the arguments of both the parties involved in the transaction, trying to find a compromise, to make amends to the deal for the subsequent unanimous, positive and correct decisions, thereby put an end to the dispute and proceed the transaction or its cancellation.

Hello! At the moment to become a trust node, the owner must have tokens equal to $ 200. The escrow node must have at least $ 250 tokens. We will decide the future of trust nodes though. Perhaps there can be a fixed priced of tokens for a trust node. We will decide this via voting. Soon we will publish the instruction.

Trust-nodes support the price of the token, they make it stable and resistant to dramatic changes. The main pecularity of a trust node is that they are awarded for their participation in the system. Trust nodes receive commission fees for every succesful trade or deal on the platform.

Escrow-nodes ensure the integrity of a trade between parties (buyer and seller) Guarantor nodes are secured by PFR tokens, every decision in the ecosystem is ensured by value, hence the platform gets rid of bad actors.

Our payments will depend on the number of tokens, 10k of tokens is the minimum for a trust node. A node can be one, if there are 60,000 tokens, then the payments will be 6 times larger.

On previous messages were indicating than a node would require $250. How did you get the 10K tokens?

$250 are escrow nodes.

My worry with Cryptopia, even if it might be cheaper (I don't know) is that it's gradually losing volume because it's not really updating itself. Others are way, way ahead in terms of UI and features already. One of the reasons Binance exploded in volume so recently is because they introduced stop-loss. A lot of whales were not doing major trades on there without it.

You can use the same mail as you use for a regular account, it works without verification. So if on the demo platform, someone will call a guarantor ( i.e. open a dispute) then the dispute will go directly to a real registered escrow, you can try to make decisions.

Some time ago I got my hands on PFR through stocks.exchange.  :) :) :) Now I cannot find it there anymore, any idea if it was delisted from that exchange?  ??? I looked through news and announcements (on the exchange) and then I came here to find out. The link on payfair.io which normally takes you to stocks.exchange doesn't work.

Edit: I forgot to ask what's your storage preference guys? Am I blind or I couldn't find the wallet.

Even though stocks.exchange does not have the BTC-PFR trading pair anymore you should still be able to withdraw your coins. Check your portfolio (not wallet) and you should be able to find your tokens.

As Payfair is an ERC-20 token it can be stored in any Ethereum address. Most people use myetherwallet to to create and manage their Ethereum accounts.

I was reading your whitepaper, because there is something I don't understand. You say that a 'trust node is a critical element', but what exactly does it do?

Does it run any code in the ETH blockchain to settle transactions? And if it does, why do you need many accounts loaded with tokens and registered to accomplish... whatever the trust nodes are going to accomplish?

Does it provide any other service than an incentive to buy tokens?

From what I could read, it seems to be just a way to keep some buying pressure on the token, much as all those scammy Dash clones popping up every week.

The trust node is a critical element within the network and performs the important job of maintaining, updating, and securing the PayFair ecosystem. Trust Nodes support the price of the token, they make it stable and resistant to dramatic changes. The incentive to hold trust nodes are that they are awarded for their participation in the system.

Node holders receive commission fees for every successful trade or deal on the platform of which is paid out in the currency that the trade was completed in:

- 80% of the 1% Fee taken from Non-Escrow transaction are distributed back to Trust Node holders.

- 40% of the 3% Escrow transaction fees are distributed back to Trust Node holders.

Additionally Trust node holders will be able to suggest and vote on the development of the platform and which cryptocurrencies to add next.

But what I want to know is exactly how sending tokens to an ETH contract contributes to the "job of maintaining, updating, and securing the PayFair ecosystem".

I don't understand where is the problem with the edcrow nodes ... you have a transaction on payfair your money is hold until buyer says il all went fine then the money is released to the seller. It cost 1%. But if the deal goes wrong the escrow solves it and it costs 3%.

My question is with trust nodes, not escrow nodes...

Escrow nodes needs a person with a brain to actually do some work and monitor the transactions; Trust nodes, you just lock the tokens in the ETH blockchain through a contract and wait for passive income. There is nothing else to do, so what exactly is locking these tokens doing that could not happen without this feature?

Trust node supports the stability of the PFR token and extracts profit from transactions.

So trust nodes just create buy pressure and remove coins from circulation to help keep the price up.

... and I guess if the dev team holds a lot of them, it's a way to finance their efforts and reward their hard work if successful.

I can live with this, it's just that if this is the case, the need/importance for trust nodes is a bit exaggerated, it seems to me.

NOTICE TO ALL ESCROW NODE HOLDERS

In order for your PFR to display within your Escrow Node Wallet, you must have a minimum of 0.005 ETH for Gas.
In the future we will automate this and it will no longer be needed.
If you are having display issues, please make sure you have 0.005 ETH within your ETH Escrow-Node Wallet.

ACCOUNT REGISTRATIONS

You must create a separate account for each dashboard you intend to use (client, trust-node and escrow-node).
You are able to use the same email address, however the user name must be different.

NOTICE TO ALL ESCROW-NODES

The power to determine an outcome should not be taken lightly.
As such, we have created the Escrow-Node: Best Practice guidelines: https://goo.gl/m4ySn9
These guidelines provide a short, but sweet, summary of the principles and process that you are expected to follow when resolving a dispute.
These guidelines will be integrated into the Escrow-Node dashboard shortly.

Each dashboard requires a different login.

All DEMO accounts have been deleted and will need to be re-registered, and all email verifications have now been fixed.

Sales occur (go) inside the platform. You withdraw your funds on MEW yourself

Where to store PFR for trust node, is it at payfair wallet platform? Or can use metamask wallet? What happens if I transfer tokens to the escrow wallet but that results in less than 10 000 PFR in MEW. Does that cancel the trust node?

Exchange listing for HitBTC – Crowdfunding

Over the past 2 months, PayFair has exploded with growth, far more than we originally anticipated. It has been amazing to see the flood of new supporters and PayFair advocates. However, there has been a growing demand from the community to have PFR listed on larger, easier to use, exchange. As many of you will know, our primary exchange IDEX has been suffering from technical difficulties the last few days and has made PFR extremely hard to buy or sell.

As such, we have been in contact with several exchanges. We have decided on HitBTC as our first listing as the pairing is permanent and they do not have any trading volume requirements. HitBTC (https://hitbtc.com/) has a trading volume of over 270 million dollars daily volume and will provide PFR with an excellent opportunity to grow.

This is where we need your help! We are launching a crowdfunding campaign to help us raise the funds to list on this exchange as our remaining ICO income needs to be reserved for the platform marketing. We will be taking 300k PFR (soft cap) to 500k PFR (hard cap) out of the team allocation to support this campaign. Please note: the PFR you are buying is FROZEN, meaning token distribution will be on the date of unfreezing (1st December 2018).

Crowdfunding details:

Soft Cap = $30,000 (40 ETH)
Hard Cap = $50,000 (66.66 ETH)
PFR Rate = 1 PFR/$0.10
Payment in ETH = 1 PFR = 0.000133333 ETH, or 1 ETH = 7500 PFR
Duration of crowdfunding = 30 days or until hard cap is reached, whichever is sooner

A: We are looking to encourage investors to buy PFR at a discounted rate,  much lower than what any exchange currently offers. But investors are unable to liquidate the crowdfunded PFR because it's frozen. So with the extra risk that investors are taking, the cheaper price is justified.

A massive thank you to the entire community; we managed to crowdfund the full $50,000 hard cap within 2 hours. This was entirely unexpected and has genuinely blown us all away here at PayFair.

We would like to re-confirm that every dollar you invested during this crowdfunding will be going towards having PFR listed on further exchanges. At this time we are looking at several potential options and have not signed off on any specific exchange just yet.

It is essential that we pick an exchange that we feel PayFair has room to grow initially. Several factors will be taken into account, such as Reputation, Listing Fees, Customer Fees, and Trade Volume.

We will be looking to update you all within the next 24-48 hours with further information on our findings.

PayFair Platform Features and Bugs Update

The following upgrades have been implemented:

Script implemented to automatically restore a users balance in case of unsuccessful withdrawal of funds
Password reset and 2FA integration for trust and escrow node dashboards
2FA User reset implementation
Frontend development continues to grow, including guides, notices and a ticket support system
Further Countries and FIAT Currencies added (more to be added)
Price adjustment by CMC has been upgraded

The following bugs have now been corrected:

Full withdrawal capability of funds has been restored
Full ERC20 trading restored
Patched the sending attachment feature within trade screens
Trustnodes now display correctly as decimals where appropriate
Fixed multiple bugs in the escrow system (hiding other escrow nodes, patched the display solution when rejecting, etc.)

Please note, countless minor corrections, upgrades, and bugs have been patched or integrated. However, to list all, would take quite some time!

PFR Exchange Update

It has become quite clear that the community, both on Reddit and Telegram,  find HitBTC an unfavorable choice in regards to exchanges. The initial intention was to negotiate lower rates; however, it seems the best solution may be to explore other avenues.

At this time, we are in talks with two additional exchanges that have both a positive reputation, low fees and daily transactional volumes between 15-25 million dollars. Due to the nature of the discussions, non-disclosure agreements are in place, and we sadly cannot go public with names at this time. Should terms be reached, the community will be informed immediately, but please be aware these discussions can take up to two weeks!

These two exchanges are by no means are only options. The community has been very vocal in regards to where they would like to be able to trade PFR. As such, and as promised, we would like the communities input on who they would like to see us approach.

With more and more internet p2p transaction I can see such platform to be really needed. We can't be sure if the other person won't scam us, so an escrow service that focus on cryptocurrencies can be very helpful.
