So decided to start a fun little contest to get everyones creativity flowing, for those unaware or needing to find out more about the coin please come over to the CV2 thread:

This contest will be open from August 27th (Now) until 09/03 12 pm PST.  
At which point all submissions will be compiled into a separate thread with a poll allowing the community to select the one they feel is the best for COLX at which point all votes will be tallied on 09/10 12 pm PST (or as close to it as possible) and winners will be notified through PM.


Prizes - I'm not a dev, just a community member so not too over the top.  
Edit: Prizes are fixed regardless of the price going up or down, USD calculations were done at a price of 2 satoshi.

1st Place - 20m CV2 sent to your wallet - Equivalent of one COLX masternode.  $1600 currently.

2nd Place - 10m CV2 sent to your wallet - 1/2 masternode. $800 currently.

3rd Place - 5m CV2 sent to your wallet - 1/4 masternode.  $400 currently.

This is my submission:

Showing our environmentally friendly side, love it  :).

Allow me to participate, guys. I wanted to keep it as simple and legible as possible.

A few details:

• Two tones of green, that emphasize the "eco-friendly" idea.
• The interior design tries to simulate the veins of a leaf.
• Circular shape, that refers you to both "coin" and "planet" concepts.
• It happened casually, but if you really search for details, the veins form a V of victory, like in wrist watches advertisings.

This is great! I'm an artist which doesn't make me a great investor,  :D so this is perfect for me. I'll get started on something tonight. Don't usually feel as though I can participate in the community but now I'm excited to put my skills to use.  ;D

Very impressive.

This is it. I believe it is much better without the "coin"  on the end of the name since Colossus is such a great and strong name. I kept the symbol simple and therefore easy to identify when Colossus hits the top 10 market cap. I chose natural green and blues to convey a clean environmentally friendly feel. The leaf in the shield represents protection of assets (both money and the environment) and I chose a strong, modern (though not futuristic), yet classic font from France to give it a safe yet fresh feel.

Classic, confident, trustworthy, and ecofriendly... everything that this cryptocurrency embodies in my eyes.

I will try to join this contest and even though I will not win I will still name my upcoming first baby Colossus! ;D I love this project! It's Eco friendly and why should we spend lots of energy in mining when we can just use our PC for a transaction? Right?

I just upload my logo in a swf file as long as it will be finished. I just remember the hints that I should be made: shades greens, circle like a coin (currency) and world (global), a letter v perhaps a victory, a leaf for the eco friendly project and  the 01010101010 that represents the process of a computer

Instead of having just a leaf as the main focus of the logo , I thought I'd use a
spartan to portray the strong name Colossus with a leaf as the secondary focus.

Hey had a few attempts at this, I'll admit I'm a newbie here but I love the direction this coin is going!

I went for a minimal approach as the application of the logo would be as an icon and small screens so it has to be able to scale down while retaining the image. I also included comparisons next to well known currency symbols as I think its important to establish a professional identity as crypto will be the currency of the future. I chose a green colour palette keeping with the theme of environmentally friendly.

Second looks like the cosmics logo.

first is a pretty common style of wordmark for the letter C i haven't seen that article but im sure hes got that from others too. i've seen that kind of design in typography books.

man, be sure I am no alt :) you will see when I post my submission. It will be one long document with one version. Different to all others. I am actually working on my submission for couple of days now. I understand your concerns with multiple submissions, but I believe it won't be case in the end. This contest was brought to my attention from guys on slack and I read bitcointalk but don't ever comment , just for this I made an account.

Sir, sorry to interfere. But I was concerned about the poll part. There are about 60 logo designs in the poll. I don't think any genuine voter would have time or energy to check them all. It took me 3 mins to find mine. Sir, in this poll, people will be flooding this forum with alt accounts just to vote themselves. It would be better that you took one or two days to shortlist some 10 designs. From that the community should have voted that too not by polls but by commenting. So, that everyone would have known the authenticity of the voter. This way Sir some deserving would be left out.

Just my two cents.

I was contemplating that actually 113 total entries after duplicates/multiples were removed.

It took me close to 4 hours to actually assemble them all currently.  So I won't do it today if I do.

(I think tomorrow after giving a little bit of time and letting the telegram group work through their picks, I may pull it down to a closer knit group of entries)

i agree that it needs to be shortlisted, atm it greatly favours the first entries as people aren't going to scroll through all 113. You could do it in rounds, randomly allocate entries into groups and have a poll for each group and then take top voted from each group into a final vote. Can see how that would be tedious to format though.

I will be shortlisting in this manner though after counting telegram votes:
10 community picks, 5 of my picks and any that the devs give as an honorable mention.
