WTF i just heard the news with a fcking SENATOR in the philippines ..
SHE get the 3 witnesses ( MINOR ) with out the consent of the parents and  now shes saying that kidnapping is LEGAL as long as you didnt harm them WTF !!! she is ONE of THE MOST CORRUPT person!! GANDANG PHILHEALT :)

You look at the president of the Philippines, he's that clown. Allegedly he personally killed drug addicts.
On the Philippine goverment, it's criminals. They have long been in prison.

Then she does not know the real definition of kidnapping in some parts of the world. And for that reason I would free her comment because over here kidnapping is not the same to the extent that any convicted fellow for kidnapping, the punishment is death without remedy whether it done with the intention to hurt the victim or its a mild one. I don't really think so. I'm disappointed if this is true. Kidnapping is already a crime whether the victim is being hurt or not. Kidnapping is already a crime because the victim is forced to take in some place. Maybe it will be legal if the victim also wants to come to the kidnapper.

Nooo! When kidnapping is legal! It is considered as illegal because you are forcing to take the person in other words kidnapped you are taking them against there will. Do you think you will be happy if someone force you to come with them?! Of course no! No one wanted that. God gave us freedom to do everything or free will, he gave your hands, fingers,foot, to do whatever we want. There are many jobs out there why would you choice to kidnapped, steal, etc, if you can work in a decent way were you don't hurt others just to earn a living.

Let's assume that this senator did say this. I'm no lawyer, but i think that you take a person without their consent then that is considered kidnapping whether they're hurt or not. So long as the said person, or a parent or guardian of they're minors, filed a complaint.

Of course. Kidnapping is taking someone against his will. In other words forcing someone to do something. This usually involves using physical force and threats, just like when you're robbing someone. It's a crime that is by no means petty. You can get 10 years with ease for kidnapping someone even if that person wasn't hurt.

I watched the documentary of vice news about bride kidnapping and they allowed that if I'm not not mistaken they shoot that on Uzbekistan or Kurdistan I forgot it.but I'm sure in there story.in other ways its illegal to kidnap a person whether you harm them or not its the right of very person to refuse whether they like it or not that is the human rights...

watched that news and it was the lady senator that really kidnapped thhe witnesses with out parent consent ! those paretns were interviewed and they confirrm that they wasn't informed with those things and demand for the witnessess to be under DSWD!

I strongly disagree to that statement that one of the senators in the Philippines said that kidnapping is legal as long as you don't harm the person or people whom you kidnap because in the first place, the word kidnap is already negative and will never be positive. The act of kidnapping is not a minor case when it comes to the law.  I hope that the person who said that will not stay in the government of the Philippines for long because it is like he or she has no plan to protect the victims of kidnapping but it is like he or she is protecting the people who did or will do kidnapping.

Kidnapping is still kidnapping even if the culprit doesn't harm the victim. Even the simple act of detaining someone out of his/her own will, refusing them freedom is what kidnapping really is. No one in his right mind should abduct other people.

Once you attempt or harassed simple individual without his/her consent and approval, it is considered as unlawful and illegal, you violates their human rights. However, if you are influential person and has a closed connection to some judges you can interchange the law. But, the law states  that kidnapping is unlawful act of capturing and carrying away a person against their will and holding them in false imprisonment. That's why it is very clear that kidnapping is illegal in any kind of exemption reason.

That statement of the Senator really is shocking. Kidnapping shouldn't be legal even if the victim is not harmed in any way. I think that is a joke, when you kidnapping its mean you rob their freedom and caused a mental damage to the victim, it can cause trauma to the victim, of course this is a criminal, the person who said kidnapping is not a criminal should be punished

What? This is absurd! Any form of crime should not be tolerated. In that case, I will just kidnap some kids and ask money from parents to earn, since it's not illegal. It is okay to be thankful that kidnappers didn't harm the kids they kidnap. Still, they violated the law.

I really think that this is impossible. First of all, kidnapping is illegal to a lot of countries around the world, it would be crazy to legalize it. Also, this will serve as an encouragement to most of the criminals out there that if kidnapping was to be legalized, they will think that there are also loopholes on other crimes, not just kidnapping.

Kidnapping is seizing someone against one's will with negative intentions behind. Kidnapping is  a crime and morally illegal because kidnapping someone means playing with one's will. How can we say that such types of crimes are going to be tolerated by the victims. Harming or doesn't harming is useless in case of detaining someone against one's will.

Kidnapping in itself wether we harm or not the victims is a crime and is punishable by law. There is no way under any circumstances can a crime be legal.

This country is such a joke. I had friends in high school who lived in the Philippines and told me all about it. This was 30 years ago.. It seems like things only got worse. So what's the solution? I don't see one.

Not pay attention to it and focus on developing countries that aren't full of idiots who would support a criminal like Duterte.

At some point they will either realize that the rest of the world is vastly superior to their stupid dumbasses and adapt, or they will eradicate themselves off the map and free up resources.

While the first scenario would be the best, the second one would still result in a net positive for humanity and the planet.

Keeping other people without their consent is illegal even if that person did not hurt you in any way. People are not items or pets that you cna just grab and keep and let them i. Captivity just because you see fit. They have rights. We have rights and it should be reapected

There is a thing called human rights and in that code for human rights it says there that no one should kidnap or keep another person without his or her express consent. KEEPing them in out of their own freedom is a violation of it and that makes it illegal
