Title: help please serious problem with transaction
Post by: anders31 on August 28, 2017, 08:40:35 PM
so last night i wanted to withdrawal my money on bitrex to my bitcoin wallet but the problem is i had 500$ Tether (USDT) and i didn't notice that so i withdraw USDT coin to my wallet bitcoin and it did send because the USDT coin use the same starting number as bitcoin which is (1) and when i recieved money i only had like 0.5$ :(
so i contacted bitrex and they told me that You have sent USDT to a BTC address, these wallets have addresses that validate to each other, but the wallets are not compatible for receiving coins. You'll need to research how to remove a private key from a Bitcoin address and import it into a USDT wallet to recover these coins.

can anyone help how to remove a private key from a Bitcoin address and import it into a USDT wallet??

thanks !
