• 5x RX 580 Nitro+
• 5x 1080ti OC-11GD
• 1x GTX 970 (just because I had it in my pc from when I used to game)
• 2x EVGA T2 1600w PSU
• Asrock H110 Pro BTC+

Red GPUs connected to the left PSU (580, 580, 970, 1080ti, 1080ti, 1080ti)
Green GPUs connected to the right PSU (580, 580, 580, 1080ti, 1080ti)

anyone have any advice as far as what I should keep in mind as far as how many I can connect to each psu? I'm new to all this; so any advice is very much appreciated.

Also, I have each sata cable connected to about 2-3 risers; is that a safe amount? I don't want to go above that.

Still in the process of building; don't mind the wire chaos.

Be very carrefull with yours connections : power and data.
You are one of the first with so much GPUs in a single mobo and you have to monitor all the technical issues.

PSU :
The best is to have a platinium PSU and 30% more power that the sum of the GPUs you connect to it.
Be very carreful to the cable becomes not to hot after hours and days...

SATA Data :
No probleme : you can connect more than one GPU to the same cable.

Actually it could be a problem for SATA cables. They are not made with much power draw in mind. It's always recommended to use PCIE or Molex for your risers.

Well, 580s will consume just over 100W if undervolted each, 1080ti's, on the other hand, will do just over 175W with best clocks and undervolted. So, One PSU connected to 5x 580s, MOB, and risers while the second PSU connected to 5x 1080ti, 970. Use Molex cables and ditch SATA all-together because all of your GPUs are power-sucker.A Molex daisy chained to two GPUs, i.e., Five Molex cables for connecting 10 GPUs (580s,1080ti) and you can use SATA for 970 if you want. It's not that power hungry.

My risers have a 6pin connection; you're suggesting I get a 6pin to molex adapter for them? What about all the fire issues related to that adapter?

Well, the majority of fire issues are related with SATA to SATA connection on risers with more power flow then they are capable of. If you have six pin risers, then they are better. Daisy chain a six pin to two risers and you're very good to go.

Don't beat around the bush try one of these PSU with 32 PCI-e cables and plugs. Enough for all of the cards and can plug straight into the risers which is better than any adapters.

You would still need a small PSU to turn MB and HDD on and for the CPU power

Two 1600w platinum PSU's should be perfect for that setup. At least that's exactly what I would use. You have enough room on that PSU to put 2 risers per cable, I would never do 3. And you have one VGA cable per card on that PSU. The power draw should put you around 1000w per PSU which leaves you ample head room. You are fine for wattage, but you need to make sure you are using independent cables as much as possible which a 1600w will give you.
