The deeponion community grows every single day, this is why.  Is anyone here mining ONION? Is it worth mining with GPU or would I need to invest in an ASIC? - I have a couple of rings from my ETH days mining ZEC (mainly 7970's and the odd 7950).

you should do your calculations
but since it's x11 algo, I'mnost sure how profitable it would be mining with gpu

also we could expect dump this friday...

The value of it raises because of the communities support.
Call it a scamcoin if you want but still its price wont be affected by mere accusations...
And please dont call someone an idiot if you dont know them that well...
Because someday the one that you called idiots may prove that youre totally wrong in naming them as one...
Have a nice day....
:D

I loaded the wallet client onto an old netbook and only have it online while I'm at my office, just to be safe. I don't know of any hard evidence that the DeepOnion client is malware, but you never know.

Having said that, I'm not too worried about it. I had to jump through a few hoops to join the airdrop, but at this point, anything I can get out of it is free.

While the price jumped, the mining difficulty jumped much faster

network difficulty was 2,000 one week ago, but now it is POW: 28365.28828246, and it was almost 40k last night

good coin, good dev team, good community, just don;t know how can the mining profitability last

As I understand it the "airdrop" is designed in such a way that recipients lose all future bounties the moment they sell.  My guess is the distribution and current pump is by design for non-bounty holders to make incredible money while once the drop finishes a cataclysmic drop will occur when all those bounty holders try to finally cash out.

I don't discredit the project itself, because I haven't looked into it deeply at all simply because this sig campaign/pump scheme looks like a newly designed "dev" mass profit model.

The coin may have a future but i'm VERY skeptical of the validity of the current valuation.

Why do you think that any coin that is newly produced is cause for the call of SCAM?
@crypto_rainbow as a developer has been part of many previous projects and most of those had a decent success. Now he has developed DeepOnion and so far so good the airdrop is working wonders. People have effectively made $500 each week just being a part of the airdrop

Rather than calling DeepOnion a scam, please go the forum and buzzing DeepOnion community and be a constructive part of our community.

My guess will be like this
someone rich  :D decided to invest into onion coin
well, if you think = it is wise, because the supply is thin, the coins circulates in a few number on the market and it is hard to mine, so miners will not harm too much dumping daily volume and I think this investor can't take a part in airdrop
so what choice does he has?  just buy from exchange, but taking to the account that supply is limited, he bought all coins with a cheap price, then continue and continue to buy coins with higher and higher price.

that is all  ;D
