Title: New DiceBot in progress - V0.0.2 Update - Add stats information
Post by: mydicebot on August 31, 2017, 11:50:26 AM
Hi,

I am a new guy here, and after the investigation for the dice website, especially for those providing public API ones, I am starting developing dice bot for them.

My Draft Plan

* Support Platform: Windows, Mac, Android, iOS (Not sure whether Apple allow me to submit this kind of app), HTML5
* Register New Account
* Login Existing Account
* Update Essential Information
* Deposit/Withdraw/Tip
* Manual Bet
* Basic Auto Bet
* Advance Auto Bet - Compatible with Seuntjie DiceBot Setting files
* Lua Script - Compatible with Seuntjie DiceBot Lua Script
* Share/Pull Settings/Lua Script from Client Directly - May be share to Gist (Github) and pull from Gist (Github)
* Rating for the Settings/Lua Script - By using Gist Rating (Github)
* Chatting ? Not sure, it's not a core function

Roadmap

* No roadmap, sorry. It's a casual project for fun.

Update
V0.0.2 - Add stats information

Will you publish the source code?

At the beginning, I just try to wrap the network protocol of one sample dice site. Then I develop the basic UI of login page and manual bet page.

Screenshots for V0.0.1 on Mobile as below:

PS.
I don't know why the image cannot be shown correctly here. I am too new here.

I am not sure right now, as I am just having the idea to do this thing. It's too early to say yes or no.

I am worry if I publish the source code at the end, some one could steal it and inject some scam code into it and redistribute the scam one, that's terrible.

What will be your goal with this bot? Auto betting? Auto adjusting betting amounts? What will the feature be like?

Without any working prototype it is quite hard to say anything about your project but I don't think use of dice bot is quite popular because it will involve third party risk.

It's nice to have more bots around. But the only way to trust on any bot/service which is accessing my external funds is to be able to review the source code. So you need to considering this. I'm sure I'm not the only one who will not trust a closed service.

You need to work on you UI.

Its a cool idea and all, but don't almost all of the big websites already have a bot?  What is the point of using yours versus the ones they have on the site?

Yes, they do have the inbuilt bot/auto bet feature, but one cannot do advance betting, some people like to try different strategies, the inbuilt auto-bet feature has limited functionality, with this kind of bots one can build more advance betting techniques, keep logs of bets so many other features.
I'm interested in seeing android dicebot.

If it's a project for fun it's cool but i didn't see anything different then dicebot.There is no new features or anything and unless it doesn't support more gambling sites there is no point in using this one.

What kind of advanced betting are you talking about?  I mean every website I have seen offers increments on loss/win, go up by some percentage, on win/loss go back to base bet.  What other things can you actually do?

What a reason to do it? I mean winning in dice is impossible (because of math). If you're interesting I could to post my bot code (because it is useless)

Winning in dice is not impossible, LOL. Why would people keep playing if there wasn't a chance that you could win?
It's -EV yeah and a dice bot doesn't change that, but for some people it's just fun to gamble with their own automated strats instead f betting manually.

It's good that you're building this bot, looking forward to checking it out when you're finished.

Looks like seuntjie's bot is going to have a competitor. YOu should probably check that bot out OP. Maybe you can learn a thing or two on how you can improve your bot.
This is a great opportunity not just for you but also for every gambler as now we have options on what bot to use since Seuntijie has a monopoly of the dice gambling bots.

You can see some of the scripts/betting example here (https://bot.seuntjie.com/Scripts.aspx), something like random amount betting isn't possible with inbuilt bot, but with advance bot it's possible, you can also create your own scripts.

Thanks you very much to show me how to show screenshot correctly.

I'll release the alpha/beta version once it's ready. So stay tuned. :)

Yep, UI is ugly right now, will improve then.

open source or close, will decide later.
