Title: need help in identifyin a converter cable. Post by: CanaryInTheMine on June 23, 2011, 04:09:00 AM take a look at: http://www.epowertec.com/power_cd.html I bought one of these open box from newegg for $12 the other day and though it was a great buy. Glad I only bought 1. If you look at the 3rd picture from the bottom you will see the 3-pin black connector that converts into a regular computer powercord on one end and this 3-pin looking receptacle. Problem is, this converter is missing from box... returning is gonna suck... Does anyone recognize this converter? Where can I find one of these? Title: Re: need help in identifyin a converter cable. Post by: RyNinDaCleM on June 23, 2011, 04:24:32 AM I've seen them in electronics stores (maybe Radio Shack), though I saw them at a different shop! I don't know what they're called to google it though!
If you can identify which prong is which, you could probably make one with parts from Radio Shack! Title: Re: need help in identifyin a converter cable. I'm pretty sure that is a proprietary power connector. I doubt you will find that in radio shack, but it's worth a try. Bring in the psu and show them what you are looking for. Your best bet though is to contact Epower and tell them you need a power connector.
I had considered that unit if I got more cards and kept the same power supply. IMO, the 20% 1 egg reviews is too high; I'm more comfortable in the less than 8% 1-egg review range. I just don't want to deal with a bad psu again. |
