Title: There are so many fud articles today
Post by: hous26 on September 01, 2017, 03:04:41 AM
Everywhere I see fud articles about bitcoin today.  I go to Facebook and there's an article on Investopedia and Vice have article calling bubbles.  I go to Yahoo to check my stock portfolio and theres a Motleyfool article spreading fud and then I go to youtube and Business Insider has a video saying Bitcoin is in a bubble.  I go into work and my boss tells me I need to sell my bitcoin because he read an article saying its in a really big bubble.

Is this fud being coordinated?  I'm not reading any of it but today it was impossible to avoid the clickbait titles.

I only a very small amount but i'm not changing a damn thing.

As more and more people get to know about Bitcoin and its existence, you can expect many more good fud articles to pass by on various websites and networks. While I think all of these are not coordinated, you should be sure to do some research before deciding the truth behind an article. About selling your Bitcoin, it wouldn't be a good idea while it is hitting new highs very regularly.

That would be very normal for an entity that suddenly caught huge attention and human being tend to focus more on the negative aspect (That's why there's a saying that say bad news always spread fast) rather than positive (no drama here yoz) on average. There might be more positive than fud articles but you might be focused on the bad ones having said the above. The timing might also just be another coincidences (:

Of course its rare to find some legit articles nowadays. Its hard to find truth about the informations online. Misdirections, misguidance and failed information to trick you are everywhere. Sometimes you don't even know what are you going to believe. That's why you need some solid knowledge on cryptocurrencies in order to be not easily persuaded. When you entered the world of trading and mining you will be able to stand up by yourself and share some valuable information to others, argue to some misconceptions and accept what you still don't  know.   ;)

FUD is part and parcel of this world. you can't do anything about it. and this is not new, every day there are FUD articles alongside all the rest of articles calling the ridiculous high prices as the top. and both of them are worthless in my opinion. they are trying to get attention. the valuable and thoughtful articles are usually rare and that is mostly because the news sites involving bitcoin are all clickbaits trying to generate more traffic to gain more money.

The FUD has always been there and I am not sure it's going to leave because ever since the price of bitcoin started getting more than pizza, then the issue starts and unfortunately it continues to increase anytime the value of bitcoin breaks a new horizon like we are seeing now but what they have been able to do, is to keep people coming in more inquisitive while those of us in, more determined to stay.

no one can stop FUD, it will be always part of this world. Politic, economy, government, and business, so we should not really care about that, higher the price of the bitcoin then FUD will be more rising, just stay away from them, they can do whatever they want, let's just focus with our business, i just miss the rocket mate :P

I'm an older bitcoiner and judging from the fud I've been reading on bitcointalk alone these past few days, it has become a gazillion times worse.

every that makes success, FUD is always there, it can not be separated from everything that leads to the luck like bitcoin, it's a person's right to participate in the investment process.

it is hard to resist the FUD, i know. But my experience as a trader and investor is: it is always exaggerated and has only one purpose: making money. People want your money and they do everything they can. 99% is pure bullshit and it is you to filter out the 1%. I always regretted giving in to the FUD when regarded from a long term perspective.

Oh boy, I see this thread was brought back from the dead.  It feels a bit like deja vu because the fud has escalated.  Now we have this crap making its rounds:
  • JP Morgan CEO calls Bitcoin "a fraud"
  • China to ban all ICO's
  • China to ban all exchanges on September 30
  • Charlie Lee said some stuff on Twitter he shouldn't have

It's been a bad week boys.
