Title: Do governments and businesses support or resist the Federal Reserve?
Post by: BenRayfield on June 23, 2011, 06:06:10 AM
The Federal Reserve is a bank and is not federal. They print money that says "Federal Reserve" on it, which would be the same as if I printed "Ben Rayfield" on some fancy paper with some numbers on it and gave it out as value backed by Ben Rayfield. Bitcoin did this too.

On the surface it appears that USA government likes the Federal Reserve since they print money whenever USA government wants it.

Probably theres bribes between many involved in this printing and distributing of new money and replacing of old money with new money, so anyone involved in that has an interest in keeping the Federal Reserve in power.

But what about everyone else who has no direct connection to the Federal Reserve? Do most governments and organizations want the Federal Reserve to continue printing money whenever they need it instead of considering the needs of everyone else?

Just because USA government gets their money from Federal Reserve does not mean USA government prefers Federal Reserve over Bitcoin or future cryptocurrencies that may be designed better for what a government or the Human species or a specific group needs.

There must be a larger number of people in governments that are left out of the Federal Reserve's unfair distribution of money.

I'm guessing that governments are not interfering much with Bitcoin because they want to see how this experiment turns out. Maybe they want to expand the idea into new systems they would build or use systems we build similar to it. Or maybe they want to know how dangerous it is.

Its hard to know which organizations are on which side of the Federal Reserve, cryptocurrencies, and similar organizations and systems.

The vast majority of Americans are dependent upon government handouts in one form or another -- social security, medicare/medicaid, food stamps, welfare, grants, student loans, gov't contracts, gov't jobs, military benefits, pensions.

Most of them are probably against the Federal Reserve, but would replace it with larger and more direct wealth redistribution.

I think the vast majority of the people don't have a clue how anything works and therefore don't really have much of an opinion on the Federal Reserve.

How many people off the street realize how the monetary system in the U.S. works really?

Most people aren't aware of it's existence, honestly.

The poverty of people in this nation is hidden by creative accounting, Media Blackout, and Food Stamps.
