Title: New coins
Post by: barwizi on May 23, 2013, 01:14:04 PM
Seems the craze is finally over, phew :D !!!!! i'm betting there are people with as many as 12 wallets on their miners. Now, the current coins need to discuss amongst themselves who will survive the next 7 days.

Now, if GLD, PWC and RYC, could just die, and stay dead, we can move on from these dark times :P

Still a GLD supporter? When even Cryptsy won't add a coin, it's probably time to cut you losses and move on. Just sayin...

WorldCoin is dead, too. Only Bitcoin and the main altcoins will survive. ;)

If there will be a coin which will bring something completely new, then it has a good chance too. Netcoin is the next big candidate.

I'm an impartial reader here, but keep in mind that exchanges are based on what one person, or a small group, wants to implement. Not what the majority wants.

With that said, I would think that since exchanges get a cut of all trades, there would be no reason NOT to add as many coins as possible. The more choices people have, the more likely they are to trade (and more often).

Edit: I accidentally a word

I am developing a new coin called BitterCoin. It will be a take off of BitCoin, but will be for people who rage about things in forums and troll boxes.

So get your BitterCoins now, and the only way to mine them is to rage on forums and trolls boxes  ;D

Can you please set up a nice site with tutorials (preferably in video form) on how to rage? I'm in the unfortunate position of not having this knowledge yet. In return, I will rage at you via video chat (after you supply your credit card information, of course). It will be the best raging you have ever gotten!

GLD won't die, there are too many coins out there.  GLD is more profitable than Litecoin.  GLD trades for .5 to 1 LTC per 1000GLD.  Even at .5 LTC per 1000 GLD, with  1000 kh/s I can mine near 6000 GLD and trade them for 3 - 6 LTC.

Mind blowing isn't it?

I'm trying... if you want on an exchange, then people need to start letting these exchanges know.  Just one guy asking isn't gonna cut it.

plenty of us are emailing and letting them know, we need more pools up, network hashrate is too low to hit an exchange site

You have much still to learn...

There will soon be an even greater influx of new coins as the general populous adapts to the idea of cryptocurrency. Bill Gates will launch his own MSCoin which will be default installed on every PC and suck 90% of your CPU to protein fold in the name of philanthropy, Apple will follow up quickly with iCoin, which will have a new client that nobody knows how to program. There'll be WalCoin offering 3 blocks for every 2 mined and McCoin will release blueprints for it's 3d-printed burger made from polystyrene to a random N miners at regular intervals for the first 90 days. That's before the drug companies get involved and you're faced with the likes of ViagraCoin which automatically fires your GPU miner up--only for you to find out your client has crashed, and Abilify which awards you a block every time you get depressed. Once the celebrities are onboard with the likes of KardashianCoin which will do nothing at all and BieberCoin which will cause your computer to sound random error noises until a seeming eternity, you know you're reaching critical mass and coinage has become part of your culture. At this point, congratulations are in order.

It gets worse from there. When the protein folding is 99.97% finished, it will crash, sending an error message to Microsoft and forcing you to restart it from the beginning. Sometimes it will even BSOD, causing you to have to a full reboot of your PC.

Hilarious.

All of the *coins mentioned in this thread so far are currently being premined. There will be and announcement once the premining is at 90% explaining why these new coins, despite the fact that they are unimproved clones/forks, are superior. Forum members who want to undermine these new coins will inadvertently secure the new coins partial/temporary success by bumping the [ANN] tread up constantly with unsupported FUD, causing new/bored miners to add their hashrate to the coins network, thinking, "If this clown/scammer/hater/idiot does not like this coin, it must be worth mining."

All joking aside, I don't think there is anything wrong with someone starting another open altcoin as long as they are honest about it. Adopters should investigate the coin and determine whether or not it is right for them. Forum members that just want to hate on it should post in this thread (maybe), instead of cluttering up the announcement tread and impeding on the ability of other forum members to enjoy the coin.

If you are sure that a new altcoin is worthless or lame, don't involve yourself. If you think that there is a scam involved, please do the responsible thing and report your evidence. There are so many boys crying wolf around here, that if someone did try to scam or insert a virus, many miners and wallet holders would completely ignore big read bold letters saying, "THIS IS A SCAM!!!"

tl;dr
If you suspect a scam, do the responsible thing and share you evidence or reasoning. If you just don't like the coin, please don't waste your time as well as ours trying to undermine it.

WDC is still more profitable, than LTC, so, um...Yeah...
