Title: What is the best pool to mine ETH ? with Nvidia cards
Post by: sergio-faucetbitcoin on September 01, 2017, 10:24:28 PM
Hi everyone,
I'm currently mining with a 6 GPU rig, GTX 1060, on Nanopool. I'm mining at 130 Mh/s , but I get a lot less with nanopool then for example the Cryptocompare calculator is showing me!!
I should get 0.92 Eth / month if what Cryptocompare say is true instead of the 0.64 they are giving me for a 130Mh/s average !

Should I change the pool or is cryptocompare wrong ?
What pool are you mining with, and is it similar to what cryptocompare says , or are you also a lot under ?

Thank you !

The "With Nvidia cards" part doesn't really matter.

I had good results from ethermine.org (and their "flypool" ZEC pool once they got the teething pains fixed) when I was mining ETH.

Part of the mining experience is learning about your coin - not just how to make money. Using a good calculator like https://etherscan.io/ether-mining-calculator would show that you should be earning about 0.74/mo at present rate assuming an effective 130 MH/s rate. Factor in pool fee and Claymore fee and you can shave off a little more.

The calculator you are using is making serious mistakes in calculation - scroll to the bottom and read the fine print. It assumes 19 second block time - we're way higher than that. It also assumes we're 5 ETH reward when we are at 4.95 and will drop to 3 soon.

Ether mine or Nanopool re both quite nice. There s no big difference but I do like to choose the biggest ones due to stability and rewards.
