The project is named such because of the location of its inception and its need in the current marketplace in India which has high irregularities in its processes to distribute funds for social welfare. Indicoin being a digital currency is open to all that are willing to buy and will be a tradable currency from any part of the world. Also, the indicoin platform will be made to accommodate all regions so that any user from any part of the globe can use the platform to create and fulfill tasks related to some social cause or general community development.
Minimum fund goal is set at 1,500 ETH's and maximum fund goal is set at 20,000 ETH's for first two phases. Fund goal for the last phase will be decided upon the successful completion of earlier stages.

The social welfare and development system in India as well as all over the world poses some discrete irregularities such as the questionable distribution of funds within the social welfare sector. We plan to decentralize the entire payment gateway so that the allocated funds reach their intended targets. And you asked for why Indians couldn't just use ETH? And that's because Most Indians don't even use Bitcoin and that's what we are trying to change by helping them to shift from the traditional debt based economy.

This is nice movement for Indian people this project looking nice I but would avoid to invest in it because it's origin oriented coin. I like global project which has more high chance to grow.

How to earn money while doing social service?

The formation and development of this idea originated in India hence it is named such. But Indicoin is a globally tradeable cryptocurrency just like any other altcoin. Our Indicoin platform will be available to use anywhere in the world. Hence a broad mass of people can join in our mission of social welfare.

Its always said that social workers make no money, but through Indicoins you can support a good cause and get rewarded for the same. Wondering how?

1) Is a normal user/personnel allowed to send in the ideas for improvement, if yes how?
2) How long one needs to wait for voting to complete?
3) Who decides the dead of project completion?
4) Who monitors the projection execution?
5) Who funds the proposed change/idea?
6) How do you plan to battle the corruption and obstacles that you will come across in executing the selected project tasks?

1. If the user/personnel has no prior connection with Indicoin, he/she can send in the ideas for improvement and the members of the committee then decide whether or not the idea is viable and can ultimately do some good to society. But if an INDI holder wants a special proposal which would help shape the society better, then it would be listed as any other proposal which can either be upvoted or downvoted. However, to speed things up and make better grasp over the idea the member can induce the "critical" option embedded within DApp.

2. Voting is completed as soon as consensus is reached. If a consensus is not reached i.e the community chooses not to vote the proposal will be rejected and no coins will be distributed, There will be various parameters at every stage to earn Indicoins as the reward which includes the importance of the document, voting pattern of users, whether raised under the provided timestamp etc.

3. The date of completion will be decided both by the user and the community. The user will have the opportunity to input a specific period of time according to social proof starting the voting process. After the time is over or a consensus reached whichever earlier, the project will be deemed completed.

4. The execution of any proposal would not be moderated or monitored by any specific person or group because this is a DApp and which works on the transparent voting process. If however, some member notices some discrepancy in voting then he can send his feedback. Senior member will then review the query received. The more your proposals are successfully passed you raise your level.

The community monitors the project execution , The actual proof of work provided by the user will be voted upon by the community . If the community deems the project is appropriate and the evidence substantial then indicoin will be distributed to the user .

5. If the proposed idea/change will be upvoted and funded by the donations of community members. Donations will be accepted and managed for community development programs. Initial funds will be used if DApp needs to be developed and managed over time.

6. First of all, uploaded documents cannot be deleted so it leads to a platform of true facts and figures which are approved by the community and cannot be forged or misused. So, it avoids the condition where one can delete and repost the same proposal over and over again. Along with that, the community members who downvoted the proposal will be rewarded Indicoins. The tokens allocated for that particular proposal will be equally distributed between downvotes. This way the battle corruption that we will come across in executing the selected project tasks would be won, and multiple smart contract and integration would help us to overcome the obstacles that we would come across.

Indicoin is basically a ethereum based social service platform in which the community members gets reward(Indicoin) for raising proposals and voting for the proposals raised through the platform. As when people will be rewarded with some thing like indicoin by doing something good towards society then it will motivate people to do good. More and more people will come in it and demand will go up for Indicoin.
Let me explain you in detail.

I am a community member. Any Indicoin holder is a community member.
I raise a proposal of doing any task which helps in the upliftment of society say for example I am planting a number of trees.

So what I do now is I raise a proposal.
The proposal now gets reviewed by other community members.
This proof of work is now reviewed by other members of the platform by a transparent and unbiased voting process.
The group members will either upvote it or downvote it. Upvote means they are satisfied that I really did it, downvote it if it seems that I did the trick and didn't actually do the job.
As a whole, votes will be calculated and if I really did plant the tree I'll be rewarded Indicoins

This is just one example I am illustrating. There are million other ways in which one can someone other or society as a whole.

Here, at Indicoin we have not confined ourself to the single social issue, the social Service/social tasks are categorized on the basis of the 17 SDGs laid down by UN. The users can also browse and Search the Decentralized application on the basis of different SDGs, as categories.

To upload a social proof of work, the user will select the category and then share his proposal. After this, the user will upload the proof, which can be anything like a live video, images, documents, or anything that provides a solid ground for the proposal to be validated or curated.

I liked the idea. I go to your website and what's the first thing I see? Its on wordpress. I was turned off instantly. Second, I see you've used autogenerated passwords for profile and I couldn't find a way to change it. While its a good security measures for people who are not tech-lit but advanced users are going to be pissed off I am sure.

Also, try to make your content publicly available and not blocked from anyone that's not registered. Thats like being against the very DNA of the social change for everyone motto you guys are sporting.

I am all for the social causes and activities that bring benefit to the people at large but I am not getting the flow-of-the things yet.

I still have questions for the founders, maybe they can give us more insights:
- Why is there a need of "block-chain" in social welfare?
- Even if block-chain is needed, why do you need a new "token" and not use ETH or other digital assets, after-all it is a social cause you should be targeting.

It is mostly looking like the game-tokens you distribute to your players when they win/do something. Its used on many online/mobile games, chat-sites, dating-sites, ...

- Well, the ICO will help you raise money to make your website/platform etc...
- When someone shows a proof-of-social-work, the token owners will show their appreciation by transferring to them.
- The team/person that did social work, would earn some tokens, what does he do with that?
- He exchanges that token for some fiat-money to cover his costs?
- Suppose he incurred a huge cost, while he/she got only some minimal tokens as appreciation? Where is the motivation?
- What makes the value of the token increase in value from current 1 Rupee?

Would really appreciate more clarity, as we all like social-welfare to happen (beyond what the governments are capable for or willing  to do)
