Your best bet it is to get on your tube and watch some videos.

Basically mining is using a computer to solve complicated math problems for which you are rewarded with bitcoins. Lot more complicated than that but this is the basics.

With the mining you support work of blockchain, validate and compile transactions in it. For this work you are rewarded with newly generated coins + fee that users pay to be included in block. There are different algorithms of mining POS (proof of stake), POW (proof of work),combined pos and pow...
You'll need a bit time to learn about it
Good luck

Mining is actually searching for ores of metals and other compounds.
In case of cryptocurrency, its getting such coins as reward for helping the network run.
The work done by your device in order to make the transactions work depends on the algo of the device.

Cryptocurrency mining is basically minting new coins and helping to process transactions that is happening in the network. To be able to start to mine, one must have a dedicated hardware that is capable of solving complex algorithms which is used to solve a block. After a block is solved (or found), there is a reward for someone who completed the said block, and that reward is your newly minted coin.

That is also one of my question, what is the meaning of mining? What is being mined? And is it different from posting? If it is different, what is the difference of the two?

You posted this reply - did you get any bitcoins?

Your question makes no sense. Posting and mining have about as much in common as digging a ditch and watching a movie.

mining is the processing of transactions in the digital currency system, in which the records of current transactions, known as a blocks, are added to the record of past transactions, known as the block chain.

miners can get coin by mining the blocks and you could mine with CPU and GPU (that is more convenient) but you should be always careful because some sites are scam...
good luck if you're going to try! Hope the best for you :)

It's easy to understand. There are two kinds mining way. POS and POW , POW need computer power, you need use your GPU , CPU , ASIC miner to mine this coin. Another way is POS , POS is just you need hold some coin and you can profit from this coin. :)

Mining is making money automatically using hardware from your computer and special hardware for mining.
You can use GPU and CPU in your computer to mine. But your computer must have a good and best specification.
Gaming computers usually can be use to mine crypto. But you can also mine using ANTMINER, ASICMINER, and something like that.
But remember, not all hardware can be use to mine all crypto. You must do research and learn.
