LOL, everything has fees because if you do not have fee, there will be no one to confirmed your transaction. I think it is quite cheap since waves is a good currency.
Ethereum also has fee, it is about $0.3 to $1.

My experience and the info I receive from various sources. For transactions related to wallet. Waves or MyEtherWallet. You Must Deposit according to the terms of each wallet. After you deposit. Then you will be able to transaction. Transfer of digital money and so forth.  :)

every altcoin that i have seen so far has transaction fees! although if you ask me i say they shouldn't have any fees at all!

but in any case if you are interested in finding out how the fees of each altcoin are i suggest checking out this site: https://bitinfocharts.com/
it has a lot of other nice information about other coins (mostly the top and popular coins), it didn't have Waves!

ETH that you asked for has a $0.7 fee these days. but it fluctuates. check here for the average: https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/ethereum-transactionfees.html#3m

I think waves wallet is just similar to MEW also known as myetherwallet. If you want to used wavesplatform you need to have a maintaining balance to your wave address, which is same thing with MEW you need to have a maintaining balance also. And there other ico campaign toke project asking for the wallet instead of ETH it is WAVES address was needed. And they have both fees on Eth they call it gas if I'm not mistaken, and on waves the fees was waves too.
