Title: powering m2 to pcie adapters from two PSU's
Post by: stef_stef on September 02, 2017, 10:21:42 PM
Hi everyone,

So I am building my first 8 gpu rig, that will be powered from two PSU's. I am aware that the GPU and risers need to be powered from the same PSU, but what about the m2 to pcie adapter that I use? It has a molex extension that needs to be powered too. What PSU should I use to power that one? The PSU that is powering the mobo and CPU, or the PSU that is powering the GPU that is connected to that slot?

Thanks

Decided not to power them, and all is well
