I'm rather happy since I prefer lower prices than higher prices. I regret I didn't sold my BTC but just closed buy position.

Nah that's a good sign, because who wants to buy bitcoin if it's too expensive anyway? Except everyone in the earth knows what is bitcoin then we'll see a price of 5 digits or plus.

Bitcoin,like other alts,stocks,gold and fiat, fluctuate daily on a supply and demand basis. Many holders probably sold knowing that once $5000 was breached there would be a cooling off and therefore a fall in price. It will hover around the high$4000's before finally breaching $5000 but may take a few days or weeks.

It drop because there was a large sell-off by large group of traders i bet they're planning this to gain some profit and at the same time lower the price so they can re buy and when the price increases again to $6000 they will resell again. So people may consider this negative for bitcoin and panic but only few people knows what's the secret behind this price drop. Im sure some traders are considering this chance to buy lots of bitcoins while it is in a dip. So better expect bitcoin to reach new all time highs.

The high increasing in last week's make big lose for many traders so only few waiting for 5000 $

Well I really think that the price would still goes up, even if we encounter a dip towards the price right now I am sensing incredible heights towards the price that it will still goes up, it is only the first of the week of September and there are a possibility that it can continue to goes upward, we can  really never know where does bitcoin is heading, but a high speculation that the impending Fork in November can really boost the value.

I don't think it is so sad because I am sure that in the long term it will go higher than that. As I am in an acomulation phase, I enjoy dips so I can get BTC cheaper.

You should take everything positively. The dips represent the opportunity to purchase more coins. For my part, I am honestly praying that there is a major correction soon. If the prices dip below $2,000 per coin (as they did in July), then I will be able to purchase a few more coins to add to my cold storage stash. These temporary fluctuations does not matter for me, as I am a long-term investor.

I agree in you , as soon as bitcoin price drops . Many buyer will have an opportunity to buy bitcoin and store it for saving, Like me if waiting for a meraculous dump of bitcoin and taking a chance to buy some.

You should go ahead with your pans, if a major correction occurs. Because I am very optimistic about the future of Bitcoin. If an altcoin like Ethereum (which has less than 1 million users) can have a market cap of $35 billion, then it is just a matter of time before the market cap of Bitcoin (with an user base of 20 million users) rises to $1 trillion.

this decline correction is necessary and the opportunity to buy it back, and you must be patient because after the decline correction slowly bitcoin will go back up and don't miss this opportunity to get profit.  ;D

Maybe because people are panickly selling again or they are just trying to earn from their previous investment which is not bad at all. One thing is still no doubt that this could go up again for the following weeks because of course they will have to invest again

No need to get alarmed and sad, dips should be seen as an opportunity to buy bitcoins at lower prices which also allows new investments to come in and naturally push prices to the moon in the long run.

I think the price goes up and down bitcoin, is an opportunity for you to take advantage. if it is true bitcoin prices will go down, maybe this is the right time for you to buy bitcoin. if it really happens then use that opportunity to invest bitcoin. I think there is no need for panic, its just a small correction. It seems that large numbers of traders has booked the profit which reflected the current value of the bitcoins. I still believe there are many investors who would like to hold the coins for longer time.

Don't be sad, be happy you've been given more opportunities to buy more coins before it roars on to another ATH past 5k! If there's anything we learnt from the past few months, it's that this is exactly the space that short-term traders are creating for themselves. Quick profits, buy in even larger positions at 5-10% less, and then even bigger scalpings in a matter of weeks.

I'm adjusting my own portfolio actually now that 5k almost became reality. Moving a teeny bit more into Bitcoin and shedding some of the alts becoming so hot now.

Yes.Their is nothing to get sad at all.Just use this goldern chance to inverse your money in bitcoin.Surely the price of bitcoin again raise to the value of 5000$ soon.So inverse now and check the price periodically and sell when the price of bitcoin crossed the value of 5000$.If you want much profit means,just hold and hold till the price reaches the maximum and sell after that .

You really need to keep things in perspective. A good way to that is to step back and look at a longer timeframe, then you can't even see the miniscule pull back from yesterdays new all time high.

Sad for some holders/traders, but i think we should seize the opening to buy now rather than wait for a major drop down.

That's too early to say anything about bitcoin price. It's dropping but only for few days may be because those who are getting panicked are selling off the bitcoin or those who are satisfied with the profits are getting their btc sold. So there is nothing much to worry about its price. Moreover if the price drops below 4000 USD then that's profit too because we can buy more and more btc at that time. This is the way bitcoin works and gives most of the profits.

I don't quite agree with you. I sold my bitcoins at $ 4900 and then bought for 4600 dollars. This is a very good income for one day. These races are always encouraging me. I certainly understand that order I earned the money, someone had to lose, but agree it's their problem.

Yeah me too feeling bad about it. People might be thinking it's good opportunity to buy more bitcoin but in my case it's not good thing. The reason I recently bought bitcoin and thought it would cross 5K mark so that I will have enough profits. I was also going to reinvest my profits after getting it in the want that bitcoin will rise even more. Anyway as the bitcoin is going down I believe I should show some more patience now to recover it again. Because if I sell that now then that would be panick selling which I don't want. I did missed the chance to see the price of bitcoin hitting $5,000 I did really missed it last time. The price was at $4,400, I saw it went back at $4,600 - $4,700 and now it's lowered by almost $300. I don't want to see it dropping some more but if it hits $4,000 then that's still fine with me. I know that there will be the time that we'll see the price of bitcoin stable at $5k.

To the best of my understanding, for something to fall below $5000 it must mean it must have gone above $5000 in the first place which I have not come to learn about that bitcoin price has gone beyond the $5k mark and even if bitcoin should fall below, it does not even mean something much because we know its a set back and it will rise again with out collective effort.

I’m sure it will achieve the price rate of $5,000 soon,  but if it doesn’t achieve that before November, then it’s  likely to take long before it does. Unless people happens to invest a lot into it, then you will see a bigger pump.

You really took words out of my mouth. I am also looking forward to it. I really wanted a dip so that I can have more BTCs and looks like the time is here now but still BTC is very expensive. Gonna wait a little longer. Some are gonna panic like they are suffering from a trauma and might even sell out BTCs. Man, they are going to be the unluckiest ones.

I think now that the price has reached the peak point, frankly, I do not believe that you can pass $ 5,000 by the end of the year, constantly expecting a price increase is wrong, finding important practical solutions.

Price is still at good level and $4500 price cannot be considered as a low price and may be in coming days we may see price going back to $4700 or higher and I am very much positive and confident that we will see the $5k price before the end of the year.

I'm not sure if the price of the bitcoin under $5000 because of the bitcoin currently resides at number $4550 this is probably a temporary movement or unstable thus making bitcoin change-change, a few days ago bitcoin already endured while on the figure of $4800. then it could just be bitcoin peaked again until $5000 figures later this month. I believe bitcoin will pass the $5000 even more in this year

 When it drop its a good news to hear, cause it will be a good time to buy some bitcoins. Its expected that it will be dropping of its pice after reaching a highest price of it, so be prepare and lets earn some bitcoins it will add up our profit if it will grow the price after a drop of it.

don't be worried, the price will be recover and reach the new price. i think its just for temporary like many of us said and i am agree with you that we need to be patience for a while. if btc drops, then its time for altcoin to gets up although the increasing of the price is not significant but at least, its help us to reach profit to increase our bitcoin.

In Bitcoin price appreciation excitement, people tend to forget that it is highly volatile asset. Volatility is not always upward, it is downward as well. People should understand Bitcoin can't just keep on increasing. A correction always happen whether small or huge.

Why need to be sad, the price now is at very good rate, and it has above my expectations, one day it can be more than 5000$ it just need more time and I think we are not far from 5000$ and it is a good thing if Bitcoin stay above 4000$ and stable at 4500$, we can't force the growth because it can trigger another correction again

Don't be sad, don't panic, it's gonna be ok.. anyway, bitcoin prices are still at a high price i guess. Calm down, i think this is just a momentary / temporary drop, maybe the bitcoin price will lead to high again. Well we can only hope that bitcoin price never drop to $4000 again, hope so.

bitcoin price never went above $5000 to come below it not. it got close enough but never touched it. and this is not "news" it is just a price report which you can see on any chart!

it was not even big enough to be considered "big". look at the volume of those days and compare it with the volume in a monght like July for example and you can see how small it was.

To me it's  not a time to sad.It's the very best time to inverse you money in bitcoin. I not have a doubt in bitcoin whether it will raise again or not. Surely it will raise again. If you have a doubt in bitcoin means don't inverse now in bitcoin. But only thing is you will lose the opportunity.

Don't worry guys it is normally happen due to fluctuation of bitcoin and altcoins in the market. Maybe bitcoin take a rest and prepare for the next raising up of this coin in the market. Moreover, all we need to do is to wait for the continues increasing of this crypto.

What are the growht points for bitcoin till the end of the year?

Yesterday alone bitcoin lose over $350  and since morning it keeps falling down. The dump is not what I wanted but there is nothing one can really said about it any way. Now provide another opportunity to buy cheap and wait for the next pump. Bitcoin has also drag  others cryptocurrency to dumping position. We expect another push before next week as strong support level close to $4500 has been broken and it will take serous pump to break that level again.

these last quarters of 2017 is the glory days of bitcoin, you seems to worry about the minor dip of its value and maybe because you start buying in between 3500 to 4999 dollar that makes you panic and FUDding. why not try to hold it until the last month of 2017 and you will see the real christmas gift of bitcoin.

Price is rapidly going down now and there is a full possibility that it can go back to $4k level in next 1 or 2 days and if it does then I will buy some more bitcoins at cheaper price as once it started to go higher we may not see that low price of bitcoin again.

We shouldn't be surprised to see it even dip below the $4000 mark. Everything that goes up significantly in a very short period of time, will likely go down in the same fashion ~ it simply wasn't sustainable enough.

Other than that, if we do end up happen to sip below $4000 in the coming days, I will likely start with buying back the coins I sold slightly over the $4950 mark.

If we look at the predictions of Goldman Sachs, they have all been fulfilled when it comes to the high side, but they stated that after that a correction to sub $3000 levels would follow ~ we'll see how this turns out.

I personally don't think we'll be falling down that low, but you never know. It might very well be that Goldman Sachs has adviced its wealthier customers to start unloading, and via that way make the price tank significantly.

The very cause of someone's sadness might be the cause of others happiness. While you're sad about the drop in bitcoin prices others see it as an opportunity to buy more. Rise and fall in the prices of bitcoin is just what people make money with so you shouldn't be too happy nor is there any reason for anyone to be too sad looking at the bitcoin prices. Finally I think bitcoin will again reach 5k soon so no need to be worried about the drop in the prices.

you are a careful person, indeed for some people this is an opportunity to be able to buy as much bitcoin as possible at cheap prices. currently the bitcoin price is back on the positive treck. even the current price is much better than before the price drop. the impact due to regulation in china did affect and make many people panicked, but now everything is back under control. we will see the future of bitcoin much better.

Yes exactly there is no need to be sad at the current price of the bitcoin, the price dip and pump are something one should should not get worried at. Honestly speaking I had no idea that bitcoin price will go above $4k this much soon, all I knew was that bitcoin has the potential to grow its price. Bitcoin price is stable at $4500 and this is something that the bitcoin users should admire.
My opinion to all the bitcoin users is to be patient be positive and optimistic also be realistic and observe the potential of bitcoin, if you understand it once you will be satisfied will have no tensions of the time being price dips.  :)

You are correct. Well, we have been seeing the price is going down when we touched $5000. It's a psychological barrier for most traders that's why we suddenly see a price dip. Then surprise, surprise, China declared that they are banning ICO that's why there are subsequent sells triggering panic that why the price plummeted to $4xxx and a almost touching below $3000. The timing of the announcement was really bad, but hey we don't need to be sad, because bitcoin just like before is very resilient in this kind of situation and you will see that it has recovered already at $4500 and we may see $5000 again. We just needed a little patience and not panic and most of all, hodl on our precious bitcoin.

Actually it is normal for bitcoin price to drop, I wouldn't even be surprise if bitcoin price drops below $2000 USD, it is possible but the chances for it to happen are very slim nowadays due to traders buying bitcoin at certain price when a massive price drop happens.

Sad that the price went below $5000? Don't be eidiculous, zoom out on a chart & look at the price 12 months ago. Bitcoin is going in the right direction, the current price is fine & perfectly acceptable.

There is nothing to worry about the small drops as price is staying above user expected level, even if drops below $4000 be patient don't be panic, it has the potential to grow in the upcoming weeks and will reach $5000 within September. 

If you hold bitcoin and plan to sold it last week you'll be sad but if not, so don't. Bitcoin price always fluctuate as seller is high and demand is low. But if you ask what I prefer, I even wanted a 3000$ price next week so I can buy to hold. Not anyone has the money to buy at 4000$ and just risk it. Let's think positive.Its a good chance for guys who are waiting to buy bitcoin at cheaper price.No need to worry more.The huge price dip was due to china's PBOC bannig all ICOs and asking the companies to refund all the funds they have raised to investors back.But its price soon recovered to reach $4655 since there was a huge buy wall resisting the price from falling more.That once again shows clearly that bitcoin is no more dependent on china for its progress.It has once again increased confidence among bitcoin investors and for sure,it would increase the demand for more bitcoins which would in turn increase its price more.

Its okay even the price drop 5k dollars because even that happened if you see the previous price and compared to the price now its very different and the price now is high and the valu is 4600 dollars and for sure it will increase more so if you have extra money you can invest it to bitcoin and you will earn profit this month or in the next few months because the price of bitcoin for sure before end of this month is 5k dollars.

I will share some of my thought with you guys, so you will understand that price temporary pirce decline is not something to be afraid of:

1. When we will reach round numbers like $4k, $5k, $6k - we will always see some decline - it is standard market behaviour.
Price just reached another psychological barrier and some people will sell off their coins to make a profit.

2. Temporary crashes will create only a better entry point for new blood. New investors will be able to buy BTC at a lower price.

3. We reached certain point - so people will know that this ATH is more than possible next time, so they will wait patiently without panicking next time we will reach 5k

4. Price crash was linked to China ICO ban, and this won't affect bitcoin directly - it could even strengthen BTC position in the long run.

I was waiting also for it's dump last time since Im about to convert some back in my btc wallet. And now btc value price is increasing so it's fine and can considered normal.as long as it falls not to far from what amount it reached. It can recover fast as it is now.

This is even good. The price fluctuates daily on the basis of supply and demand, so now you can make a small purchase, while there is a sale, and then then fail and again creep even higher.

In this month the price play in around $4000-$5000,i've same prediction like you and when the price down to below $4500, i think soon or later the price will down to below $4000 even though i know the bitcoin user has increased every day but the price rise only in a couple month. it's make me think this bubble like a trap are made from whales trader.

Is wrong if we are to be sad, even though it drops below $5000, look at price developments from previous months or previous years it's soaring higher than ever before. Well, now maybe  from has already reached $5000 it's droped again below $5000, this doesn't mean lowering our spirits, and i'm sure the next few months or next some times bitcoin prices will reach $5000 again.

Yes i agree, because if you invest now and bitcoin will go up to 5000 or 6000. You gain money, so i would advise to invest now while bitcoin is 4500 and to wait that bitcoin is 5000 or 6000 to sell it .

For the mean time, I think btc will just play around $4k to $5k range. It will not go out on that range after Chinese Investors ban ICO. Maybe once the banning over it will continue to increase in value.

The drop in the bitcoins value can similarly effect the drop in price of other cryptocurrencies. This situation is quite normal with all markets including gold and other fiat currencies. It is highly volatile so no one can predict what is to come in the near future. May be in the next couple of months the value might reach 6000 to 7k. The price of bitcoin came below 5k as there was a huge notable sell off in the market.

This week was really bad for bitcoin and crypto in general. But I do believe that this is part of the market. Its not that we always see the market to be bullish. Its that the negative news comes in a timing where we are enjoying a good run. However, knowing bitcoin, its just a matter of time when we can recover again and try to hit $5000. If you have been here in the ecosystem for long, you should have known it. Yes, it is quite disappointing. But we should accept the fact that it is part of its volatility such that there'll be times that dumps will take place as well as pumps. There is no need for disappointment because it's the nature of the market. Think this as a good buying day instead of dumping at lower prices. All the altcoins price are also related to Bitcoins price, so not only Bitcoin has crashed yesterday even many altcoins dropped. That was the best time to buy altcoins at cheap prices like OMG, PAY, QTUM etc.

Bitcoin price drops below $5000 because many investor sell their btc at this price , and many of them also do the same thing. It is not about china bans icon. Just hold your btc guys because many people will hold btc because of its lower price as of now , this is a good investment opportunity.

Why that time is best time to buy ICO token like OMG, PAY, QTUM? Special while China has banned all ICO in their country and also delist many ICOs token on exchange. Yes it is, But I still believe that it will eventually make its way up once again and maybe its market value will be higher than its value before the dipping take place. Fluctuations normally happen in Bitcoin, and maybe, it is because of the reason that Bitcoin is decentralized and has no physical value, which might made its price less stagnant. Well right now it dropped to $4200 each bitcoin, there is too much FUD around this forum about Bitcoin right now, all because of the Chineses. I dont understand why they dont want bitcoin in their lifes, it is so weird, i can not understand it.

Yes with the current decline happened this week we can buy coins, don't be shocked this is only a temporary dip, we remember that within short span bitcoin rose up to $4800, so it will have have the ability to rise even more may be twice the before in the upcoming days, so don't miss the opportunity to buy coins when it faces some drops.

The price of bitcoins is getting down due to Chinese crackdown on all bitcoin exchanges and other cryptocurrencies, they have also banned initial coin offerings.

this is a normal price. there will be a rise and fall in prices in some time. for some people this can be used for profit.

I think there is nothing to get panic. I had idea of nothing will happen against us.If anything happens mean there will be some reasons.I think the price of bitcoin is reduced to sold the bitcoin. You can inverse your money on bitcoin. Bitcoin will give you very huge profit as compared to anything else

For full a month a prayed for bitcoin price can go lower at $2000 hehehe
or $200, the price is now so high for a little player like me T_T

And don't pray that it will go down at $200 that's very low. I observed that the price of bitcoin is quite stable now at $4,100 - $4,200. And if this is the new floor price of bitcoin, well I can't complain with it and it's still high for many of us here but we do really want to see the price of bitcoin hit $5,000 badly.

although the price of bitcoin is trading below 5000$ but i am sure that bitcoin has the potential to reach to 5000$ in a one single day. and hope that very soon we will see the price of bitcoin trading above 5000$. i think the investors are even expecting about the price of bitcoin that it will even cross 7000$ in near future therefore we should try to hold our bitcoin and not to sell it.

well it is right that there are so many reasons which are causing the current decrease in the price of bitcoin but still i am hopeful that very soon bitcoin price will start increasing again and hopefully it will recover its previous position very soon, because bitcoin has a very strong support form trader side and they are not letting bitcoin to fell down anymore.

Bitcoin price can not constantly increase without any correction, simply because people want to cash out their profits.
Bitcoin fluctuations seems repeatedly, the rule still the same; if bitcoin reach another ATH, it will drop because massive sell off by people who bought at lower prices. It takes time to recover and reach $5000 again, but we know it will be.
The good news is, $4000 is a good price for new entry point, more people could afford to buy more coins at this point, consider it as discount time for everyone who wants to invest in bitcoin.

Current lower price of bitcoin hopefully will create a new, better entry point for new crypto investors so it is not a big deal.

From my experience I can tell you that rumours an news from China were always greatly exaggerated - we heard multiple times about chinese potential bitcoin ban - nothing happened so far.
ICO ban is totally different, even I think that rampant ICO project needed to be regulated - just maybe not by a hard ban.

It was a big drop since then... but I think this is not the moment to panic. As they say, after a big drop, the chances are bigger of a big pump.

chances are it will always happen after big drop will come big pump, and in my opinion at the end of this month big pump will be able to raise bitcoin price to $ 5000.

don't be panic, the price will always to go up but we need to waiting first. if we can make a profit because of the price drop then its good but if we don't then we only need to wait. but I wonder and curious about there is many people in the market is still panic even they know that the price will be back normal soon.

bitcoin prices do not need to be feared when there is a decline. the price of bitcoin is projected to rise again some time ahead. today bitcoin prices are experiencing pragmantasi decline and increase the instens, still too much news that is very easy to make bitcoin prices fluctuate.

Very well said, we can't avoid that big dump but it's far from the reality and expectation of many. It's good to see that the price is good now at $4,000 and if it possible to land the closest price it can go is $3,000 and $2,000 is still possible. Those traders that are expecting or want to see bitcoin at $200, really wants to chase up.  ;D

We shoudl believe that price will rise back again and don't be discourage behind those banning of china because not jud china is the investors of bitcoin. Bigger whales around the world doesn't wan't that to happen and I know they're making ways of it to prevent the crash to happen. So we needed to be patient exactly and be positive and don't lose hope.

yes that is is right that if we  will not have control over panic selling the difinantly will get in panic and will surely lose a lot of money, therefore i think we need to have good analysis and study about the price of bitcoin and after that we should decide either we need to sell our bitcoins or not, but to me my personal analysis is that that the bitcoin price will not get down any more and will surely start increasing.

Since there is an issue regarding to china the panic selling will surely not stop, thats why we need a hype so that the price of bitcoins would climb up fast and surpass its natural price way back before. don't be sad it's just price correction and also people panic selling right now because they're afraid that bitcoin could not go up anymore but i believed that split won't affect the price of bitcoin in fact bitcoin price rise before this year ends . you just need to hold and trust on bitcoin if you want to grow your bitcoin.

The only thing we can do now is really to hold on to this until its value arise, when we sell now it could be a lose, due to btc dips now into lower $4000 ,im already at lose so I will just wait than sell it.

In August, Bitcoin was appreciating way too fast. This dump was expected as well as needed. Such acceleration in price is not natural and always leads to a crash even if it is not so huge and is short termed. Also, China's uncertainty regarding exchange ban has also added to the drop. Bitcoin will recover soon and will again increase gradually.

It is below 4000$ less than I expected it to be, it's even at 3900$ and I've been mistakenly calculated it but the good thing is in no time at 3500$ or lesser I will have a chance to buy some to sell on the increasing end. Maybe China's government policy last week triggered this panic selling this few days. I know it's normal but i regretted not to sell my hold when 4900$ is on chart. No worries in my part, I think I'm ready to hold for more months.

When things turned out to this many tend to panic sell and they think this is the best way to do for not to them to lose but they're actually losing. And the trust to bitcoin isn't enough for them to hold. HODLing is real in bitcoin because we seen it at it's highest so just in time it'll recover. Bitcoin price now in the market is rapidly fall down, I think we need a lot of time to wait before increase it again in the market. However, I believe to the potential of bitcoin so I hold it again until the fluctuation of bitcoin was back into the normal.

I don't think we will wait a lot, in order to see next increase attack. Price fluctuates often due to news and speculations so another news may lead to a new uptrend.

Well it's sad for te people who already own it... But for the people who are new and want to buy it.... This is a good news for them.. but as we knownfrom the past records of Bitcoin... There is no need to panic guys, we have been due a correction for a long while now. The time is finally upon us, enjoy the ride, there is nothing to fear but fear itself. You can look at it this way; Is it a good time to buy now that the price is sub $4000? I would if I were you.

The price drop of BTC is like you win some and lose some. Well, business is business, no one is safe from the risk, that is why it is a gamble.

I think nothing in the market is happening to come down the price of bitcoin drastically. A bit variation in the price is not fall down, whereas it is reality that market give us a chance to buy bitcoin that time and we should have to buy with low price because it is predicted that by the end of this year the price of bitcoin will go up upto $5500=1btc. The price is not going down its going up in future.

Today at Prather price after getting closer to $4000, once again it has started to decrease in value.
