Consider adjusting the formatting of the first post. The presale invitation block is tilted to the right, the social media icons resolution is poor and the block that contains them is too wide and creates unnecessary slider at the bottom. Such sloppy ending to an otherwise nice presentation.

Something I didn't understand at the very first glance, how does this work? The media content verified by people and what would the token serve this purpose? Say If I bought a bunch of it what value does it brings in to me? and also any information about escrow for this project?

Hi friend,
This is currently the thread for the presale but we're planning bounty programs for the future Token Launch Event (ICO) most definitely.

See it as an utility token, users get rewarded with tokens for the evidence they bring to the table.

Among other things, the SFT Token is initially used for:
- Request and pay for evidence from the crowd, if delivered successfully
- Stake SFT Tokens when delivering evidence to the platform
- Receive SFT Tokens for successful contribution to the platform
- Participating in the review process requires SFT Tokens
- Voting with consensus is being paid out with SFT Tokens

That is the information-sourcing and qualification process - we are basically building an information marketplace and applying that to the news first.
We are planning to add much more functionality to the SFT Token after the launch, the possibilities are virtually infinite: For example, you will be able to directly use SFTs to pay content creators on the platform. We are also contemplating the idea of a microsubscription for all features but pure reading on MS, which we can use to incentivise the content creators and contributors on MS.

Hi, the ICO will most likely be in November! We will send a notification as well, join our slack if you want first-hand updates.

Quick update on the SFT Token presale: We are postponing it by a week, it will now run from coming Monday, Sep 18th for 7 days until Sep 25th. The main reason for the change is the increased demand from smaller investors, which resulted in us decreasing the min. contribution to 1 ETH (previously at 5 ETH).

Furthermore, we have decreased the overall SFT token supply by 1/3 to reflect an increase in the price of ETH and to lower the overall company valuation to make Media Sifter more attractive for early adopters. In essence, your share of acquired SFT tokens will be 50% more valuable compared to the previous terms (and we will avoid raising too much in the ICO).

Guys, no need to PM me about translations or bounties. if interested in providing translation services or participate in future bounties then let it be known in the post so we can have a more clear overview! :)

Also we might do an airdrop at the near end of the ICO, this is only if it's of interest to the community. If it is, please respond by quoting this post with "Yes" :)

Would it be easier for an ICO to use US Dollar as the basis for their monetary figure than use ETH or any other coin or token for that matter? You see, BTC, ETH, and other coins are volatile their value changes by the hour.  And if it changes you would be obliged to post like this one to change things.

With this news of ICOS banning in China, will it affect new projects? And the soft cap of the project, what's the value?

Yes, you are absolutely right. We have a USD-amount that we want to raise, but that is closer to the new amount of SFT Tokens that will be available (100mn). Overall, we believe that it is important to have a 1) modest valuation of the project (compared to some of the incredibly overvalued crypto projects at the moment) and 2) not raise too much money (classic problem with startups).

Given that, we can handle the volatility currently, although last week's dip certainly didn't help. The presale is live btw, ping me if you want in :-)

To answer your first question; Nah it won't, keep in mind China are regulating only, you see in China there's a lot of 'scammy' projects and the government want to put an end to this by applying some restrictions and demands for future ICO's. However, a lot of FUD is fluctuating and people are piggybacking on this information to leverage the emotional side of people allowing them to get some cheap deals. This is not the first time we experience situations like this and it will not be the last, knowing how to take advantage of it is the key. You see this FUD caused the market to dip hard, look at it now, it's correcting very well, we will be back in the highs in no time. Next time trust your own research, if you invested in a project that you liked for the right reasons then don't let other's dictate how you should act. Be a wolf and follow your own desires, don't be a sheep and submit yourself to the status quo.

Second; Our soft cap/minimum raise for the presale is 250 ETH, however we have reached this number, so the presale will definitely go through!

Its worth a read if you know Danish, but the writer was a bit confused about Bitcoin/blockchain/etherium. The Sift protocol will be based on the etherium blockchain as stated in all documents and on the website, and not on bitcoin. Take a look!
