Title: Remote access programs ?
Post by: hanskan on September 05, 2017, 09:01:54 AM
I'm currently using teamviewer but since the number of my devices is growing I'm getting the warning messages "non-personal use suspected" or w/e  it was. Any other easy to use and safe software for windows 10 ?
Or can I just ignore these messages forever ?

You can always set up a private network and then connected to them by VNC.

You could set Windows machines up to accept RDP connections. This is a windows specific remote access and might need a bit of configuring. Essentially it works the same as teamviewer.
Concerning your warning message from Teamviewer: I am not totally sure how they classify commercial use. Probably they mean using Teamviewer for remote maintenance etc. in a business context. As you are operating on your own machines for your own benefit, you are likely still using it as what Teamviewer considers personal use.

What features do you need? You probably just want to monitor and restart miners. RDP is absolutely sufficient for that.

Thanks, but that's why i asked for some easy to use program. Can't be bothered configuring all of my rigs. Just want to install and be done with it and not receive retarded warnings, I have severe OCD and I can't stand those messages LOL. I have teamviewer for personal use only but I'm guessing they look at the number of devices I have.

I use https://www.ansible.com/it-automation which works with Windows and Linux.

I wrote a PowerShell script to monitor and restart my miners if they become unresponsive. It's only for ZCASH, I thought about publishing it if there was any real interests in it.

It sends an email when the miner became unresponsive, provides the hostname of the machine and will attempt to restart the miner automatically.

I know not technically a remote access program, but at least in the 6 months I've been running it, I've had it restart the miner 3 times without fail.

Claymores remote manager , ETHman have all this function and is included with the miner program good for all coins you can mine with claymores miners :)

That it does, but I like having a different process monitor it. Just in case. :)

Teamviewer is often hacked.
Teamviewer, vnc is all third-party software. Use the built in windows 10 rdp (remote conncet desktop). It has encryption for other security settings, which it can adjust to itself.

rdp access does not allow starting mining or moding tweaking your gpus. its not support gpu. easyway teamviewer alpemix anydesk 3rd party softwares on windows.
alternate option use linux mining-ready distros
my favour ethosdistro.
