When all your Bitcoins are at the other wallet, you could reinstall the client to fix the mess and send the coins to your fixed client. Here is a guide to export the keys from Multibit: https://multibit.org/help_exportingPrivateKeys.html There may be easier ways to do so, but I'm sure this would work.
